— Ace Actually Amanda Marcotte advocates violence against women. Ike Turner just emailed me to say, "Now you get it."
Ed Morrissey predicted that.
I didn't see the ad until today, myself. I DVR'd the game and then fast forwarded through all in-between-plays stuff and commercials. Apparently either CBS forbade them to offer an anti-abortion message, and they had to cut that, or they chose to have no message in the ad at all, and just let word of mouth let everyone know what they were talking about. If you didn't hear about the controversy, you'd just think Pam Tebow was saying how happy she is since she almost "lost" her son, but didn't.
I suspect the former: CBS forced them to cut anything with a message at all. But, thanks to the controversy, most people know what the message was.

She should keep this up. This is the kind of complete nonsense that reveals her for what she is: a complete partisan hack. The idea that it encourages "violence against women" is laughable.

Any chance we could get a disturbed Bedouin to cough up, say, $4.95 for Marcotte?
Yeah, I would have pangs of guilt for the poor guy forever, too.
--And the Snickers "Betty White" ad was a pretty good, but over all a weak effort indicative of the weak economy that would have been much weaker without the Crapulus. Or something else Tim Geithner said.

Tebow's mom tells him he's not as tough as she is in the ad.
So I'd think the ad celebrates a woman's strength. But what do I know, I"m not a member of the feminazi braintrust.

Sooooo, that was the ad that was to signal the end of civilization as we know it? I'll bet that by not mentioning the "A" word, far more lefty heads 'sploded.
The funniest part was Tim tackling his mom. Comic gold, that.

The football game won the night. Of the ads that I did see, there was a bud light ad (I think) that was kinda funny. Other than that, super bowl ads have an annoying habit of trying waaaaaaay to hard to be a silly/epic/funny/cute commercial.
I really don't get everyone's obsession with superbowl ads. They just aren't that funny 90% of the time. Plus, they are ads. I feel like I am in bizzarro world when everyone is talking through the game, but then everyone is "shushed" when the commercial are about to come on. WTF? It is like some type of mass delusion that these ads are funny and MUST BE WATCHED.

The left got played like a fine fiddle, not only did they not mention abortion in the ad, but FotF got the whole story out for weeks before the game. Then when the left had to come up with something to criticize, they chose violence against women, but never mention Betty White.

You'd think she'd fade away in shame for being the short-lived official blogger for John Edwards. I'd be curious to know if she's writing anything about his more current bullshit - curious in a masochist kind of way.
Number two reason for her to fade away in shame is that the Duke Lacross players were exonerated for rape charges after she femi-nazied hung them from a tree. Of course, she still thinks they were guilty.
God, I hate that fucking bitch.

The game was good so maybe next year someone could sponsor it ad-free so ad agencies don't have to embarrass themselves.
Advertising is the primary purpose of all media. They run the programming between commercials. CBS generated about 210 million for the game only yesterday. No one can sponsor that ad free.

You know what else is a secret proponent of violence towards women?
Dildos. Huge, massive ones. You should see how violent it looks as I stare at myself in the mirror while jabbing at my cervix with them in fetid lust-filled nights of frustration and misdirected anger at my husband's insufficient phallus.
Wait, what?

Not too long ago Marcotte was slapped around by her fellow Feminazis for having racist images printed in a book she wrote. Ever since she has been mostly just an afterthought in the Feminazi community. She's just grasping at here trying to remain relevant in that little part of the world.

Did Marcotte also object to the Snickers ad on the same grounds? It showed the elderly Betty White being driven to the turf in a football game with a tackle much more violent as the Focus on the Family ad.

Green police (using Cheap Trick's Dream Police music), creepiest ad.
But, to be fair to Black Orchid, commercials are increasingly and often unnecessarily mean-spirited. It's not enough to show how stupid and uncool white guys are, now you have to beat them up a bit or kill them with their favorite snack foods.
Anyway, nothing has beaten this ad yet, IMHO

"You know it’s a rough year in misogynist Superbowl advertising when an ad suggesting that women’s role in bearing sons matters more than their very right to live can’t even win the title of “Most Misogynist”. (Though it’s only on a technicality---the Tebow ad that aired during the Super Bowl was too confusing to register as overtly hateful, though it did insinuate that the only reason women die in childbirth is they aren’t “tough” enough, and apparently had it coming.) The debate raging on Twitter on who wins that game seemed to settled on the tire ad where a man sacrifices his wife for some tires, and that sacrifice isn’t deemed good enough, because everyone knows bitches ain’t shit. "

How about next year Planned Parenthood runs an ad outside one of their clinics with a Walt Disney theme. That way some poor young woman who just had an abortion can answer the question: "Heh Sally, you just had an abortion, what are you going to do ?"
"I'm going to Disney World !!!"

Yep, because scraping your baby out of your womb with a sharp scalpel or sucking it out with a vacuum is the caring thing to do, don't you know.
These "women" are rapidly becoming a parody of themselves. There are places in this world where a woman can't go outdoors unless covered from head to toe and accompanied by a male relative. There are places in this world where young girls' genitalia are horribly mutilated to keep them from ever enjoying sex. And Marcotte and her ilk want to whine about Super Bowl commercials?
I guess if abuse isn't being committed by a white Christian male it doesn't count.
