Eh, maybe a moderate effect of preventing germ spread. The point of coughing into your elbow is that your germ-ridden particulate spray doesn't get on your hands, which then goes onto all the surfaces you touch, *shrugs*.

I wouldn't be surprised about the price-tag of this PSA. It looks cheap, so I'm guessing the WA gov't "spared no expense" in telling WAians what they should already know from kindergarten.

In Southern California, I listen to KFI occasionally. When I do, it never ceases to amaze me that at least 25% of the ads on that station are paid for with tax money. And it's all useless crap like reminding you not to dump your boat's holding tank into the ocean. When I was running a business here, I could only dream of having a saturation campaign of radio advertising going on 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

How do they justify this kind of frivolous spending when the state is bankrupt???
