Surely Barry can find a place for this genius in his Cabinet.

12 Remember those little electric shock buzzers?  Is it against the law to wear one in your panties when being fondled by a butch TSA goon?

Posted by: Jane D'oh at November 23, 2010 04:35 PM (UOM48)

13 You know, some enterprising moron (yeah, I know those words don't go together) should take their little HD cam and head out to the airport. Most especially a large international airport that indeed does cater to Muslims (Detroit Metro Airport, I'm looking at you) and start takin' some video. You know, to see if Jihad al Jihad gets patted down. Or if he wife, Wife of Martyr even gets touched.

And if they're not around, how about minorities. I have not see or heard of ONE minority complaining about ill treatment. So I suspect they are not being treated this way.

/yes, yes. I am a racist. Now get some video. stat!

The TSA crotch-grabbers are retards to work near those scanners. They going to get a lot of cancers doing that. Ionizing radiation is unsafe in any dose and so is the so-called "terahertz" radiation although it acts via a different mechanism.

BREAKING NEWS: In a surprise development, President Obama is taking bold and decisive steps against the North Korean government.  Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has announced that the US will parachute 50,000 TSA screeners into North Korea to subdue the country via invasive and uncomfortable screenings.

"This is how we handle the global war on terror," she read from a prepared statement.  "If it works on terrorism, it will work on this despotic regime."

Press secretary Robert Gibbs immediately issued a clarification on Napolitano's use of the word "despotic," saying, "The administration has not taken a position on the characterization of the administration of the Democratic Republic of Korea.  The president has often said that it may be that the people of the DRK think that we Americans are despotic, so it's all relative.

Kim Jung Il had no comment but sources say that he has commented that he often complains of being "so lonely."

I observed three pat downs this weekend during my two airport visits: 2 men, 1 woman, all over 60 (one older than that I'd say).  The men were white but the woman was black.

I find it interesting that the small boy whose shirt was removed during his pat down was in SLC (Salt Lake).  When you read what happened to the guy who shot the video - followed and watched by 4 TSA agents after he refused to destroy the video - it makes you wonder.  And, when I was there there was a TSA guy patrolling the passenger waiting area -- walking up and down.  I have no idea what he was looking for but he had no weapon so Lord knows what he would have done.  I got a definite - "stay in line, plebe" - hit at SLC.

33 BTW, when the airlines first implemented security at airports, 1971 (?), all they could do was frisk you.  No metal detectors, no wands, just big Irish professionals on loan from the PD.

I hated the change.  Before that you could just walk out to your plane on the tarmac and get on board, like a Greyhound.

Um, that still happens in some airports.  Haven't flown into Burbank for awhile, but used to be so there.  Last time I did it was in June on a flight from Anchorage to Dutch Harbor, but that was on a 30-seater Saab Turboprop.

O/T -- A blast from the past:

Jurors Begin Deliberations in Tom DeLay Trial

Texas jurors in the money laundering trial of former U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay were to return for their first full day of deliberations Tuesday, one day after sending the judge questions seeking clarification about the charges.

Prosecutors allege that DeLay helped illegally funnel $190,000 in corporate campaign donations through his political action committee to Texas legislative races in 2002, in a move that ultimately helped send more Republicans to Congress. DeLay has long denied any wrongdoing.

The six men and six women jurors began deliberating Monday and sent several questions to Senior Judge Pat Priest, including a request for clarification on the definition of money laundering. Priest told jurors he would answer their questions about money laundering on Tuesday.

DeLay has long denied any wrongdoing.

Yeah, tell me about it.  When was he indicted for this?  Remember?  It was because of a GOP house caucus rule that indictments meant they would have to resign from the leadership.

Ronnie Earle never actually prosecuted this case.  It took the next guy to push this thing through.

You can never tell with juries, but if they are asking for the definition of the only thing at question in the trial, it doesn't look so good for the prosecution.  But again, you never know.

56 Janet Napolitano= Fairy Hardcastle, from the CS Lewis book, That Hideous Strength:

"Yes. Her they call the Fairy. Oh my God, a terrible inglesaccia! She is the head of our police, the Institutional Police. Ecco, she come. I will present you. Miss Hardcastle, permit that I present to you Mr. Studdock."

Mark found himself writhing from the stoker's or carter's hand-grip of a big woman in a black, short-skirted uniform. Despite a bust that would have done credit to a Victorian barmaid, she was rather thickly built than fat and her iron-grey hair was cropped short. Her face was square, stern, and pale, and her voice deep. A smudge of lipstick laid on with violent inattention to the real shape of her mouth was her only concession to fashion and she rolled or chewed a long black cheroot, unlit, between her teeth. As she talked she had a habit of removing this, staring intently at the mixture of lipstick and saliva on its mangled end, and then replacing it more firmly than before. She sat down immediately in a chair close to where Mark was standing, flung her right leg over one of the arms, and fixed him with a gaze of cold intimacy."

57 Now it's more like, "I have to walk two miles to get to a outdoor smoking spot in the rain, get felt up by security, board the plane and eyeball overweight middle aged female and gay male flight attendants." Hope and change, folks... hope and change...
