They will not give up their power without a fight. The viciousness and personal destruction has just begun.

O/T - The firing of Juan Williams could be the tipping point or the ignition fuel that beings to dismantle the politically correct progressive movement.  The number of conservatives rallying to Juan's defense is truly astounding, and NPR is being taken to the woodshed for an old fashioned butt thumping.  Gleefully watching this spectacle of liberal foolishness explode in their faces.

Vote your conscience, and vote the arrogant sons-of-bitches to the dustbin of history.  Good riddance!

One of the only possible things that will shift dem votes will be for them to be made to understand what the Congresswoman so eloquently said, that they will "socialize... essentially take over and run your companies."

The vast majority of dems I think, are against socialism, but they can't bring themselves to believe that their brethren, their leaders, will actually take this country there.

In fact, the majority of people blaming Bush for the late 2007/2008 mortgage meltdown need to be reminded of this

We have to make sure that every time people see a Schuler or Landrieu that no matter what the candidate says, he will vote with Waxman, Pelosi, Reid, etc...

There are no more moderate Democrats.

I had a Re-elect Connolly (D) to Congress  campaign worker knock on my door last evening.  That was entertaining.  I didn't embarass my mother, I was very polite, but we had an interesting conversation.  Tee hee.  He finally slunk off after I pointed out that the 5% jurisdictional unemployment rate - for which he was attempting to credit Connolly - was due to the fact that the jurisdiction has been run by a majority-Republican administration for 15 years.

Honestly, I think the R on the ballot will be major and a lot of the uninformed are going with the name they know.  When they go to vote, some will vote straight ticket R who never have before, some will see the D and say "no thanks."

I don't think it will be a huge difference, but it may count for something.

74 I don't understand the discrepancy between some of these tight races and the generic ballot.

If you watch RCP closely, you'll notice a constant trend towards Republicans in the House over many months span - we gain 1 or 2 a week - that match what we see going on in the generic ballot.

The Senate is stalled however now - bouncing between R 46-50.

So either we have awesome House candidates who are executing perfectly and sub par Senate candidates who are depending on the wave to keep them in it, or someone is playing with the Senate polling.

And looking at some of the crazy polling we see in Senate races, I'd say its the latter. It is much harder to play with 100 House polls then 8 Senate polls...

103 Mutt,

Feingold "fading" in WI?  Trailing by 2 now when he was down 8-10 is "fading", lol?

And if you get all giddy looking at an arrow pointing upward when the polls RCP cites show Toomey crashing and burning, then more power to you, I guess.

Raese does have better numbers.   I will certainly give you that.

This is fun.  Each day poll numbers come out that show  the GOP is blowing this election, and you just stick your head in the sand.

104 I thought that was amazingly good.  I really enjoyed the fact that he used the same music nancy used in her "congressional cats" video that she put up to showcase the new video that our lawmakers can share with us.

I also love that picture of quiet chuckie right behind nanny p and the part where he says people don't care in his mocking "I won with over 70% of the vote last time" way.

God, I wish NYer's would wake up....

122 greg, you should come to DC to feel the panic. Here is the basic script: Pubs win House, Pubs then fillibuster union pension bailout (unions essentially collapse, leaving dems with no $$), a joyless Xmas, bad winter drives Cap'nTax even further off of the agenda, Pubs take up the gavel in the House, Pubs attach Obamacare repeal to medicare/aid funds, Obama vetos healthcare for old people (elderly voters abandon Dems), 21 Dem Senators up for re-election start pushing their own agendas, census reapportionment start - Dems lose 5-6 safe seats, chaos, something happens overseas - Obama fucks up, 2012 cycle election starts early.

Well Palin Steele, since that is your original pseudonym, you may have noticed that I post facts from each poll which refute your idiotic attempts at proving a non-existent point. Polls are not just headlines, and since facts contained (or missing from) the actual depth of the poll may or may not not convenient for the Democratic mantra its easier just to ignore the rest.

You can just read the headline of a bill, deem it to be good, and vote on it without reading the rest.... why not do the same with a poll. Am I right?

I come in here quick and take a look and run, many times.  I think there are quite a few people who come for the facts.  So, if you allow wrong facts to stand then you are inadvertently disseminating incorrect information which may at some point prove to be a detriment somehow, particularly in an election two week period.

I think that is why the Ax sends out the trolls, in hopes that the conservative blogs don't correct the information posted on their thread and it then becomes fact cause it was on a conservative blog and wasn't challenged.

This my be our problem in this country, we have become so PC that we aren't challenging pure bullshit.

Posted by: curious at October 21, 2010 11:24 AM (p302b)

135 navycopjoe - after the Pubs take up the gavel, all of the action moves to Cass Sunstein's desk. He isn't a fool, like Van Jones, Holdern, Jennings. So that should be interesting - I would have him up on the hill twice a week.

Sorry, but when you're raised in a home in which hearing classical music was the norm this becomes second nature. (Thanks, Mom!) I'm thrilled by Ben's ability to pace the images and music for maximum effect. It's too bad a nationwide television buy isn't in the cards to broadcast his work and those similar to it for the education of folks who do not trawl the Internet and blogs as routinely as we do.

Bruce Brown is running against Waters.  He's on twitter and looks to be a great candidate, though it's obviously an uphill climb.  Last I heard he was down by 8 I believe.  I sent him some do re mi just because I love anyone who tries to take that ignorant commie out of office.

143 In re: Greg and his ilk -

Crucial for the plot and understanding of the play is the question asked by the troll king: What is the difference between troll and man? The answer given by the Old Man of the Mountain is: "Out there, where sky shines, humans say: 'To thyself be true.' In here, trolls say: 'Be true to yourself-ish.'" Egoism is a typical trait of the trolls in this play.
