Another Foreign Policy Gaffe
— Gabriel Malor

Obama Admin gaffe machine strikes again:

An official statement from the US foreign policy chief paid tribute to the "Queen’s life and legacy,” despite the fact that the Monarch does not celebrate her official birthday until next weekend.

The diplomatic faux pas, sent on behalf of President Barack Obama and the American people on Friday, also celebrated the "special relationship" between the British and US governments.

[...]

A spokesman for Mrs Clinton attemped to make light of the gaffe.

"We were a week early," Philip Crowley joked to reporters in Washington.

"As always, it is better to give a greeting a week early than a week late."

And still better to get the timing right, dingus.

The Obama Administration's foreign policy has been fundamentally unserious from the very beginning. Actually, the amateur mistakes go back even to the campaign when, for example, Obama made a gaffe-prone victory lap through Europe. It continued the next month when his thoughtless initial statement on Russia's invasion of Georgia had to be "corrected" to parrot McCain's.

Once installed in the White House, Obama's crack diplomatic team managed an embarrassing first two months with insulting treatment of Gordon Brown and his wife, followed a month later by an insulting gift to the Queen along with a protocol breach by Michelle Obama for good measure.

Clinton's own start wasn't great either, as she encouraged the Russians to "overcharge" our diplomatic relationship. By March, the list of foreign policy gaffes included:

1. Canada: NAFTA fiasco.
2. Poland: missile shield "misunderstanding".
3. UK: Churchill bust return.
4. Russia: "overcharge" button.
5. UK: insulting the Browns, the Queen.
6. France: not realizing that Chirac has been out of power for two years.
7. Brazil: Misspelling the Brazilian president's name.
8. Mexico: NAFTA
9. India: Thinking Kashmir is in Poh-kee-stan.

A catalog of diplomatic faux pas followed over the summer. Between then and now, the gaffes have been too numerous to count (though we try our best to document them all here at the HQ).

Obama and his amateurish administration are trying to learn on the job and failing miserably at it.

This adminstration is the greatest collection of retards, idiots, and America-haters that our nation has ever seen.  We are just lucky that they are so inept and incompetent.  That's our only hope for making it through this pathetic chapter in American history.

A incredible gaffe that absolutely noone who doesn't speak Arabic knows about.  In his speech at Al Azhar (pronounced al UZ-har; short u as in cut) university, O'Bonehead pronounced Al Azhar as "Ool oo-ZAH".  What he said is identical to the name of a pagan pre Islamic goddess, Al Uzzah. So, in an attempt to be sophisticated, he pronounced the very place he was standing after a pagan Arabic goddess.  He also butchered other Islamic words, including "Holy KOA-ron"

Another major foreign policy gaff: With help from slimy low-lifes in Congress and an incompetent State Department headed up by a bumbling, incompetent and useless fool; this administration has alienated Turkey; a member of NATO and a country that was one of this country's staunchest allies for more than 60 years, providing troops that fought (and died) alongside US troops in Korea, as well as sites for ICBMs and troops to deter Soviet aggression at great risk to themselves, as well as very valuable intel on Al Qaeda and other Muslim terrorist groups. To paraphrase Charles Krauthammer, this lazy, sloppy and careless administration doesn't have any foreign policies  or contingency plans. They're just muddling along, one day at a time with only one agenda - to redistribute the wealth.

94 "Posted by: Just a thought, or two at June 06, 2010 10:11 AM (sYrWB)" What should we have done to avoid "alienating" Turkey? Idiot.

95 I think this might have been on purpose, Obama has shown nothing but contempt and disregard for the UK since he's been in the public eye.

Idiot.

Yeah, right, like you would be smart enough to understand if I explained it to you. LOL

BTW, shit-for-brains, if you weren't so clueless you would realize that it wasn't a matter of avoiding an ugly situation, but rather it was a matter of boorish, absolutely senseless and extremely irresponsible behavior by sleazy politicians which created an ugly situation that incensed the Turks, and our slimy politicians in Congress pulled that outrageous stunt for sleazy and very bizarre reasons, which would make sense only to an imbecile or to a sleaze or to a fool.

You ignorant peasant. You've got your head so far up your ass that you don't have [a clue] what is going on out here in the real world. With your inane remarks, you just make a fool out of yourself. That's the bad news. The good news from your perspective is that you're too stupid to realize that you're a fool.

Fuck you, asshole. If you had asked nicely, I would have been glad to explain it to you.

BTW, asshole, you're predictable. That was precisely the screwy rationale that I expected from you.

You're a creep who doesn't accept responsibility for the consequences of your perverse behavior.

Maybe that is why you have spent your entire life as a real loser, ya think?

Posted by: Just a thought, or two at June 06, 2010 01:12 PM (sYrWB)

101 Wow. Now I'm a pervert. This is getting interesting. I'm still waiting for an answer, though. What did the US do to "alienate" Turkey?

Posted by: Bugler at June 06, 2010 01:16 PM (VXBR1)

102 Ask me nicely, and say please.

Posted by: Just a thought, or two at June 06, 2010 01:20 PM (sYrWB)

103 And oh yeah, apologize for being rude ....., and say it like you mean it.

That's what I figured. Not man enough to admit that you're in the wrong. All mouth, no balls.

Posted by: Just a thought, or two at June 06, 2010 01:47 PM (sYrWB)

106 It's simple: Apologize. Say it like you mean it. Ask me nicely. Say please, and I'll answer your question. I promise. Otherwise, you'll remain a fool - all mouth,  no balls, no brains.  It's up to you, dimwit.

Hey dummy, it's all typed out in "Word"; a 9-part answer to your question with subtexts and references. If I do say so myself, it's a superb, magnificent, concise and nifty explanation, too. All that I have to do is cut 'n paste it ...., that is, whenever you comply with my stipulations.

Just think; you can show it to your make-believe "friends" to impress them with what you know about why there are increasig frictions and tensions between the USA and Turkey, all of which can be attributed to the incredible stupidity of  Democrats in Congress, in the State Department and in the White House. This is a golden opportunity for you to pick up your education where you left off before you became an elementary school drop-out.

108 Hey dummy, think of it this way: You've got nothing more to lose. You've already put your foot in your mouth. So what if you have to take it out to eat crow.
