— LauraW U.S. House candidate for MA-4...why does that sound familiar?
OH. Right.
It's Barney Frank's seat.
Earl Sholley for Congress. This video is from late last year. At 1:38 the smartypants interviewer reminds Sholley how forbiddingly liberal Massachusetts is. Heh.
And then at 2:40 hits him again with how popular health care reform 'must be' in that district.
HAH!
It is so entertaining to watch this after having been vindicated.
Thanks to Pablo.
And Bill Hudak Too [Ace]: Hudak came over to blogger's row to drum up interest in his campaign in MA-6. I didn't talk to him, as I was too focused on the current race. He had, he said, supported Brown right from the jump.

If we could win just 3 more elections this year, I want them to be Reid's seat, Barney Frank's seat, and Chris Dodd's seat.
I would be very happy with that as consolation to not winning the big enchilada.

I have seen Barney the Buttpirate (Not That There's Anything Wrong With That) Bolshevik's (there is something wrong with that) seat on a map. New Englanders: Could the Portagees (meant with affection) of New Bedford ever outvote the Commiecrats of Newton?
All I can say is that Bawney's elimination, along with Boxer's out where I live, would be like a Political Enema for both ends of the nation.
(I would dream of Nancy Pelosi's elimination, but it's San Fransicko, nothing sort of an atomic bomb would change that district)

These Libs have spent years avoiding the big truth that nobody really likes Leftism when they see it in action. Now they've managed to put themselves in a position where they have to push losing ideas or risk losing their remaining base. I would not want to be them.
I wonder if after Tuesday night a few of them pissed their pants a little when they saw that the "machine" might not be up to the job anymore.

Can you believe that shit? An asshole who was driving an ice cream truck before he was a representative is writing our energy/climate policy.

Will he go after Bwarney without mercy? Will he hit him on the prostitution scandal, on his boyfriend at fannie mae, on his stating " there's no problem" when republicans tried to bring up fannie mae?
In the case of that POS, it MUST be done.

Um, HELLO. Seriously, it's stupid-difficult to find specific information on other states' races without spending too much time researching and googling around for nuggets of basic frickin' knowledge.
Something should be done about that.

Fun fact: Coakley carried Barney Frank's district Tuesday by only 200 votes.

There's nothing wrong with The Machine. This race snuck up on them so fast they didn't have time to mobilize it. Remember, Coakley was 30 points up the month before. The Machine costs money to run. You don't activate it if you think you're going to walk away with the prize all easy like.
That was part of the genius of the RNC keeping their money transfer to Brown quiet and unpublicized. Sneaky sneaky, don't wake the machine.

Instapundit interviewed Barone Wednesday, who stated Coakley won by 200, and I trust Barone's numbers over anyone's. The point is, if she only won by 200, Frank can be taken down.

I hate to be a downer, but if the Commiecrat vote fraud machine described in #35 above was caught off guard this time around, it will be even more difficult in November.

Again, a great change to force the Dems into a rearguard action [rimshot].
I bet for every $100 the GOP and donors spend on challenging Frank on his turf, the libs spend $150 --at bare minimum.

Speaking of great metaphors, I am reminded of Ace's post about the need to strengthen and reform the RNC and in opposition to the idea that the Tea Parties *themselves* can work without a Party apparatus.
Think of it this way: The Tea Party movement is like a gallon of Castile soapy warm water. A good GOP apparatus is like a well lubricated tube. Shove it up the body politic, and massage the colon of the body politic a bit, and all the turds like Barney Frank and Barbara Boxer will be annilhated or at lease loosened up enough to flush out of the body politic, leaving a healthier and less impacted government.
It is a Political High Colonic Irrigation.

Regarding the rude telemarketer referenced above, I've been noticing that more of them (telemarketers) have been slightly more on the ball and articulate than in the past. Used to be that whatever speech they had to deliver came out in one looong bored-sounding monotone (HelloWouldYouBuyMyStuffCauseIhaveToMake600CallsToday)
I assumed it was because those higher up the job chain had taken the phone center jobs. Maybe the Obama-Pelosi-Reid economy is starting to fray the nerves of the overqualified who are now making those calls, maybe they don't like hearing No! I can't afford it! Go Away! 600 times a day?
OT but I'm starting to get telemarketing calls on my cell phone which really ticks me off, I have to pay for those minutes!!
Posted by: Boots at January 21, 2010 08:15 AM (06JTY)
Curious, Boots
I would have pointed out to the telemarketer that that degree ain't workin out to well. As far as calls on my cell phone, if I don't know the number, I don't answer. They can leave a message. If I need to talk them I will call them back.

That friggin Frank sounds like he's got Obama's nutsack tucked in his damn mouth. That speech improvement has to be worth 5points at least.

Chuckle of the morning:
“Politicos are snickering at the plight of Sen. Charles Schumer, who holds more press conferences than any other lawmaker but can’t seem to connect with the public. His book, “Positively American,” released in 2007, sold 9,000 copies in hardcover and fewer than 1,000 in paperback..."
Palin has 1.2 mil Facebook fans, versus Chucky's 4,225 fans. I'd guess a lot of them were told to sign up, versus Palin's fans who wanted to sign up.
According to Wiki, Palin had sold 2.7 mil copies of her book by December 1, or 15 days after it was released.
Some interesting sales comparisions, from texas4palin bog, December 1:
The print run for "Going Rogue" has been increased again, to 2.8 million copies.
From doing Google searches (reliability questionable):
Hillary Cinton's "Lving History" (2002) had a total print run of 1.7 million.
Bill Clinton's "My Life" (2004), total sales to date estimated at 2.25 million.
Mark Levin's great "Liberty and Tyranny" is now over 1.1 million sold.
However, the best selling "political" non fiction book was Rush Limbaugh's "See I Told You So" (1993) which sold over 2.5 million hard cover copies. Adjusting for US population growth since then, Sarah would have to sell over 3.1 million copies to beat Rush's record.
Limbaugh followed this up with "The Way Things Ought To Be" in 1994 which sold 2.0 million hard cover copies. It's doubtful if anyone will ever be able to match this success.

That liar is on several recordings explaining how awesome Freddie and Fannie were doing when Republicans warned him of this disaster.
The same thing with the pecker head, Dodd.
Folks, we can do this! NPR's Bob Oaks (WBUR) in Boston here was asking Barney Frank if he was absolutely going to run and you could HEAR the fear in his voice after Browns Senate victory.
Several callers also claimed that they disliked Coakley venomous campaign.
