Anthrax Envelope Suspect Turns Out to Have Been... A Teabagger
— Ace

And when I say he was a "Teabagger," I of course mean he voted for Obama:

[W]hen agents executed search warrants in late-2007, an FBI supervisor asked Ivins if he was worried about those raids. Ivins said he was, noting that he did things a "middle age man should not do," adding that his actions would "not be acceptable to most people."

He then noted that agents searching his basement would find a "bag of material that he uses to 'cross-dress,'" according to an interview report.

During a January 2008 meeting with agents, Ivins described his bizarre decades-long "obsession" with the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, and detailed how he broke into two KKG chapters to steal ritual books used by the group. He also told of "another of his obsessions, blindfolding or bondage."

Three months before his suicide, surveillance agents sifted through trash Ivins left at his curb and discovered that the beleaguered scientist was disposing of pornographic magazines, fetish titles, and 15 pairs of stained women's panties.

When an FBI lab analysis of the underwear showed that semen was detected on 14 of the garments, a grand jury directive was issued to obtain DNA from Ivins. That sample was taken July 21, 2008, five days before the scientist's Tylenol overdose (Ivins died on July 29 at age 62). The FBI records show that some Ivins acquaintances shared with the FBI e-mail and instant message communications exchanged with the scientist.

In a July 2008 e-mail, Ivins wrote that "Dick Cheney scares me. The Patriot Act is so unconstitutional it's not even funny." He added, "I'm voting for Obama!"

A laboratory co-worker reported that Ivins hated the New York Yankees and thought New Yorkers were "elitist."

I've highlighted the last part -- about New Yorkers being "elitist" -- because this proves he voted for Sarah Palin and is a teabagger.

Despite finding Dick Cheney "scary" and voting for Obama. Hey, a lot of Teabaggers find Dick Cheney scary and vote for Obama. Ask Nancy Pelosi. She's one of them.

(Hey, that's the rule, isn't it? Ignore the clear evidence of leftist sympathies and focus on a very ambiguous statement that Sarah Palin or Glenn Beck might agree with, right?)

Thanks to Dr. Spank.

Oh, like this?

But the big question confronting Mr. Obama is how he will describe the purpose of AmericaÂ’s nuclear arsenal. It is far more than just an academic debate.

Some leading Democrats, led by Senator Dianne Feinstein of California, chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, have asked Mr. Obama to declare that the “sole purpose” of the country’s nuclear arsenal is to deter nuclear attack. “We’re under considerable pressure on this one within our own party,” one of Mr. Obama’s national security advisers said recently.

But inside the Pentagon and among many officials in the White House, Mr. Obama has been urged to retain more ambiguous wording — declaring that deterring nuclear attack is the primary purpose of the American arsenal, not the only one. That would leave open the option of using nuclear weapons against foes that might threaten the United States with biological or chemical weapons or transfer nuclear material to terrorists.

Any compromise wording that leaves in place elements of the Bush-era pre-emption policy, or suggests the United States could use nuclear weapons against a non-nuclear adversary, would disappoint many on the left wing of his party, and some arms control advocates.

“Any declaration that deterring a nuclear attack is a ‘primary purpose’ of our arsenal leaves open the possibility that there are other purposes, and it would not reflect any reduced reliance on nuclear weapons,” said Daryl G. Kimball, the executive director of the Arms Control Association. “It wouldn’t be consistent with what the president said in his speech in Prague” a year ago, when he laid out an ambitious vision for moving toward the elimination of nuclear weapons.

New Obama Bill Wednesday: 'Much Smaller' Than House, Senate Versions

According to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the White House will release a new health-care bill on Wednesday that will be "much smaller" than either the House or Senate versions, according to news reports.

The White House said that the new proposal will "borrow" ideas from last Thursday's health-care summit and will be designed to garner bipartisan support.

A senior administration official told Fox Obama's proposal will be introduced Wednesday.

I pine for the days of Andrew Carnegie, Henry Clay Frick and Andrew Mellon. When sucsessful capitalists were unashamed of their fortunes and when they gave away their own money to charity or the state and didn't force others to.  It's a shame there are not many industrialists of this mold left.

98 I'm still not seeing any kind of possible motive.  At the very least I would expect something is his past of either sending threatening letters or violence of some sort.  It still think the FBI wasted an enormous amount of time because they wanted to find a politically correct non-muslim suspect.

According to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the White House will release a new health-care bill on Wednesday that will be "much smaller" than either the House or Senate versions, according to news reports.

Knowing these geniuses, that just means it's STILL a 2700 page bill, but all the copies will be the size of one of those comic books that used to come in boxes of Cracker Jack. The type will be the size of pin points so that nobody will get confused by actually being able to read it. And that's the only copies that will be made available. That Nancy, what a brain!

Laser-inscribed onto a postage stamp, is my guess.  3,500 pages in a grid: 50 across, 70 down.

Hmmm....what does THAT mean?

"Placeholder" language in the bill saves on page space. Not to mention, saving trees. It's a green bill!

The non-elected bureaucracy can add in the actual regulations later.

101 There was a link on another thread saying 2/3 of Obama care has been passed already, hidden in the stimulus bill. If true, then a "much smaller" bill would just finish the job.

It's a shame there are not many industrialists of this mold left.

Teddy Roosevelt made sufre there were no more of those pesky capitolists.  Remember what the media says; they were all "robber barrons" who amassed great fortunes by stealing from the "poor people".

In short, liberals all uniformly believe that the economy is a zero sum game.  This stupid mistake is why communism/socialism never works.

Posted by: Vic at March 01, 2010 10:54 AM (QrA9E)

103 They'll add several Republican items to the bill, trim some Democrat items and then present it to the Senate where it will be voted down. Obama will say the Republicans won't even support ObamaCare when it includes what they asked for. Obama will say they've tried everything and reconciliation is the only way forward.

All except the long painful debate which will no doubt arise in the Senate, which will highlight the problems in great detail; Dragging this whole issue closer and closer to November (It's March already) causing the vulnerable Dems to feel even more pain. This is not any more politically viable than the current jam it through option. What they will potentially gain with the "Well we tried" meme will be more than given up in dragging this thing out longer while in the end ramming through something the people hate. So the only option is really, give the Republicans a bill they will pass, and make this thing go away.

94  I believe so.

Speaking of perversities, what's going on with legislation vis a vis education and the safe schools czar is enough to curl one's nosehairs.  I've said it before, and I'll say it again: watch what happens in education (head start to college) while this healthcare debate goes on...and on (Friday the 13th version of Groundhog Day...whoever said that above, I like it!).

Buffett did say Obama should start over on health care.

Buffett urged Obama to say that “we're going to cut off all the kinds of things like the 800,000 special people in Florida or the Cornhusker kickback, as they called it, or the Louisiana Purchase, and we're going to — we're going to get rid of the nonsense. We're just going to focus on costs and we're not going to dream up 2,000 pages of other things. And I would say, as president, `I'm going to come back to you with something that's going to do something about this, because we have to do it.’”

Like Democrats in Congress, Buffett would like to expand access to health insurance, but he said he does not “believe in insuring more people till you attack the cost aspect of this.”

“If it was a choice today between plan A, which is what we've got, or plan B, what is in front of — the Senate bill, I would vote for the Senate bill,” Buffett said. “But I would much rather see a plan C that really attacks costs. And I think that's what the American public wants to see. I mean, the American public is not behind this bill. And we need the American public behind the bill, because it's going to have to do some tough things.”

So this is what it's come to. Anytime a heinous crime is committed, the motive of the perp must be be tied to a conservative person or theme. If the theme isn't apparent, "flood the zone" by a team of Democrats until one can be spun. All of the above takes priority over gathering objective evidence, convicting the gulty party, and doing what we can to see that the crime isn't repeated.

Is the next step not being allowed to charge or convict anyone who can convince Katie Couric that they are a registered Democrat, and that they support politically correct causes and politicians?
