— DrewM Obama had Clinton over for a chat, then brought him to the briefing room. Then it got weird. Obama just...left and let Clinton have the mic for like, I don't know,
Via The Anchoress, here's the video of Obama walking away. There are no words.
That was the most surreal thing. Obama said he was keeping the First Lady waiting and had to go. That left Clinton to vouch for the tax deal and relive his glory days.
Obama has just announced what we've all known...he's simply not up to the job.
It was equal parts funny, pathetic and quite frankly, a little scary.
Jake Tapper snapped a photo of the President and the ex-President. See if you can tell which is which.
Last thought: Obama (when he isn't running off to parties) says we should let the tax rates on the 'rich' go back to the Clinton rate. Well, the mid and low end rates were also Clinton era rates. Isn't Clinton saying, "hell no, don't go back to the rates during my presidency. Stick with the George W. Bush rates, they are better?"

Bush didn't need to bring adults into the White House. If he wasn't up to the task, his VP was.
"Jump the shark" is often misinterpreted. It wasn't the time when Happy Days was over, creatively. It was when it was plain for all to see that it was over.

Remember Blazing Saddles? When Hedley lamarr (Harvey Korman) is on the run and heads off set and into the commisary, and then the bathroom? While he's in the can, a fight breaks out involving cowboys, gay musical extras and Adolf Hitler, complete with a Jewish accent. he comes out the door, pulling up the old zipper and then looks up to see total chaos. Without even hearing him, you can clearly see him mouthing the words, what....the ...fuck...?
that clip would be appropriate about now.

I know it is hackneyed, but can anyone remotely imagine what the MSM would be saying, no screaming, if a Republican President had done this? Taken with the clown car demolition derby that has broken out in their Congressional caucus, in any fair world the Democrat brand would be burnt to the waterline.

This is what I heard today on CNN Radio:

"Maureen Moonbat , an employee of JP Morgan, had to chip in $30 for her company Christmas party."

See?! He said it's good, so it's good! Right?!
I still can't believe I watched that happen. Of course, right after it happened I came here and someone waved a shiny-perverted object in front of me and, for a few minutes, I shoved it to the back of my mind. From Pajamas Media:
After Clinton ended the press conference, MSNBC’s Dylan Ratigan came on and asked about the “optics” of all this.
HereÂ’s what I saw. I saw a current President who has never looked less interested in doing his job. I also saw a former President who never lost interest in doing that job. ObamaÂ’s demeanor and body language suggested that heÂ’d rather be anywhere but where he was, and then he followed through and actually bolted for the door. ClintonÂ’s demeanor was that of a passionate wonk trying to sell a policy he actually cared about, that he thought would be good for the country. It didnÂ’t matter that it wasnÂ’t even his own policy that he was selling.
I saw a President who, for a few minutes a least, ceded his job to his predecessor. HeÂ’d failed to sell his own policy, so he needed and got some rescue from Clinton.

@313-279
Truman-Chiacago Jedi,
No it's Not! That's Alex Jones hyper-government conspiracy crap. That type of analysis comes from the same line of thinking that 911 was an inside job. The only crediable analysis in that comment is that there is a conspiracy of commited Commie's and Elitists attempting to create chaos for a power grab, but not every Tom, Dick and Harry within our government is in on it, and certainly not the Clinton's.
Obama may be in on it, but I think Clinton wants America to hold together and remain a Super Power, and he's still pissed that Hillary got shit on during the primary, and Bill is attempting to let the moderates of the Democratic Party know that it is O.K. to turn on Obama....sending the signal that the Democratic Party has been hijacked by the radical left.

Not going to be hooked to power...no maintenace facilities....just track and stations.
Are you fucking kidding me?
Even if they did hook it up and ran trains, they'd only be full of illegal farmworkers.
I grew up in that section of Cali. That part of the San Joaquin Valley is already served by Amtrak. I've ridden that section many times over the years (most recently about a year ago). The trains are usually about 1/4 full. Even during the holiday season, there's always been available seats.
But what's unstated is that the point of the HSR line is a subsidy for Frisco liberals to work in the Bay Area, but live in Fresno.....where real estate prices are about 1/3 or less than comparable housing in Frisco. Fresno has a rather significant Bay Area-commuting population.
I'm pretty sure that the reason that they're starting the new rail line in the valley is because they've spent the last several years strangling agriculture by holding back irrigation water to protect a bait fish. Real estate for the tracks is cheap when the rail line goes through a Government-caused dustbowl. And it's easier to get to the no-turning-back phase if they start in a rural area where they only have to buy/lease land from a few people.
Something else to consider. Nefarious railroad shennanigans have a long history in the SJ Valley. And per the link, sometimes with tragic, bloody results.

I have no doubt that as soon as he leaves the WH, the Obamas will sell their Chicago home and move to Hawaii.

OK, it's close.
OK about 10 inches short, but she's got those hot cankels.

A friend of mine did some preliminary work for the CHSR project in the Corcoran area. According to him, a fair amount of the landowners in the area are rather cool to the project, to put it mildly.

It's Michelle. She probably would start the party without him, and you'd better be early if you want any cake to be left IYKWIM.

You know what's bad?
In the video even Clinton looks a bit dumbfounded -- when Billy Jeff appears to be shocked by your brazen lack of professionalism that's bad.

It's not a big deal, just a Stunt-Potus. All the Presidents use Stunt-Potuses...
Potuses ? Potusi ?

"Yes, Mr Tapper."
"Mr. President; considering your increasing bizarre behavior and given your admitted indiscretions of youth, would you be, at this time, willing to 'pee in the cup' and release the results to the public."

"After meeting with Clinton at the White House, Obama brought him to the briefing room to tout the proposal to reporters, even backing off after a brief introduction to let Clinton do the talking and take questions."
It also had this to say "The bulk of the deficit increase comes from loss of revenue -- $756 billion.....The 13-month extension of unemployment benefits adds less than $57 billion to the deficit."
Mainstream Fucking Media.

It looks like Obama is as excited with his job as Randy Moss is with his, when the play is on the other side of the field.

Even at this late date?
Oh, BTW Chrissie Matthews and David Brooks and David Frum, I'll bet you dollars to donuts that Bill Clinton is way more intelligent and erudite than Barack Obama could ever hope to be!
I do find it a bit unseemly for Bill to be pimping himself out for a shambolic Democrat party though.
He's an ex-President!
Sure there is gonna be Party stuff and that's O.K....
But you can't just go from being President of all of the people of the United States for 8 years, to a party spokes-bot!
This is what Hillary's! political designs have reduced you to Bill!
You've paid many due penances. (I imagine, or hope!)
Just, don't...
You can't help them in any meaningful sense...
All you can do, at this point, is make the Office look more silly.
Please don't.
What's to be gained?
Nothing.
Nothing you or I want, anyway...

President of the United States ran out of the fucking press room!
This truly disturbs me.
I don't like him, I think he's a fucking moron, and I could probably bring suitcases of documents to annotate my top of head sketches to refute each and every silly idea in his head!
Still, this is NOT okay...
Well, I guess it's sort of OK, if you leave an EX-Pesident in there to take Press flak....
No!
That's even more not okay!
It's fucking bizarre, is what it is!
I hope to god that there are tons of clips

Leaving Bill Clinton in charge of the White House presser is just my way of introducing him as my new czar in charge of the presidency.
