Barbara Boxer: "Every state is now in play"
— Purple Avenger

Good to know Babs, last time I checked CA is a state...

Wounded in Massachusetts, frustrated Democrats on Wednesday urged the White House to focus on jobs and the economy — not the health care overhaul that's now at risk — and pressed President Barack Obama to more forcefully make their case against Republicans ahead of potentially disastrous elections this fall...
Yea, go with that -- keep pushing the reviled one in people's faces. He's clearly underexposed and not being used to his full potential. His vast credibility with the public could be leveraged into a crushing Nov victory for Democrats.

FWIW, Levin is zeroed in on the Zuckerman piece...gonna be a good show today.

6 Yes, Barry already blames Bush for everything and that is good.  He just needs to do it more often.  That will work.

The sad thing is she believes that and everyone she knows and talks to believes it too.

It is odd because there is a small part of my brain that says I want Obama to keep going radical left because that will make him easier to beat in 2012. Another part says I want him to moderate so the country doesnt get destroyed, but now I think we are very close to the point where the narrative is already written on him and it doesnt matter what he does.

He is viewed as an elite left wing professor who is weak with our enemies and unable to get anything done here at home of substance. I do not see that changing even though we have 3 years to go.

Come 2012, Palin is going to look at him across the stage and say " Mr. President, you have been in office just about 4 years and we are TRILLIONS deeper in debt, millions of fewer jobs, and we are as dependent as ever on Foriegn oil."

Game Set Match.

Karma, like irony, is a bitch.  Obama could have succeeded in turning this country into a carbon copy of Venezuela.  But karma, by way of the worst recession since the great depression bent Barry over a giant wheelbarrow of irony and put the pork to him.

When he was elected, he had his radical head down and his leftest stable was stocked with the worst of the neo-comms, including his (ironically) fashionable wife.  Had Barry had all the money unencumbered by the needs caused by the recession, we'd all be wearing Che' t-shirts with Barry and Hugo sharing space with the thankfully dead murderous commie bastard.  He was prepared and would have done it.  The money would have been spent, the wealth would have been shared if it had not been for irony - 'the economy stupid'.

I've always loved irony.  Karma is beginning to leave a pleasant taste in my mouth as well.

I really don't think you have to worry about Barry going moderate, not unless someone else is truly pulling his strings.  He's a egomaniacal narcissist and he's utterly convinced that even though people caught on this time, he will still be able to outsmart everyone in the end.  He has lied and lied and misled and dissembled and has be caught over and over and yet he carries himself as if he is still the coolest human ever to walk the earth.   He can't fathom that people are sick of his slimey jiveass coolness.  He'll still be bopping when he leaves office as the biggest failure of a leader this country has ever known.

The Far Left has until the new Congress gets sworn in after the 2010 elections to complete the destruction of America.  I suspect their Gotterdammerung is not going to pleasant for any of us.  Why not swing harder to the left? Realistically, what does it cost them?

FDR, LBJ, and Carter all did a lot of damage and should have discredited the Left's ideas, yet more hardcore Lefties still get elected.  Reid, Pelosi, and The Messiah have done more damage - no reason to expect that some other group won't be given the chance to continue their works in a few years.

The other is Carly Fiorina and outside the Silicon Valley (and political junkies) most people in the state will go, "Who?" ## Thats is nothing. Here in CO we have 7, yes Seven republican candidates for senate and 4 candidates for House of Representatives. Two candidates can get people educated ahead of time during the primary run-up but 7?, I guess its a good thing the state is having both march caucuses and aug primaries. I want the Ivy League outsider removed as our senator SO bad, as well as the business woman Rep. who has voted with Pelosi on every mess and is trying to cover her tracks with balanced budget amendments that haven't got a snowballs chance. This may be sweet, sweet irony to us now, but it realluy is nothing new for the left.  Go back in your minds and think about hte fallout on the left after the 2000 and 2004 Presidential elections.  No, not the "Bush stole it!" bullshit.  What I mean is the self-analysis of the Left when they tried to explain why they lost.

Whenever a candidate espousing leftist positions gets their ass handed to them in an election, especially when they ran firmly on those positions, the explanation the left offers itself is always that the message wasn't communicated eloquently enough.  Or simply enough (for those dumb American voters to grasp).  Or loudly enough.  Or often enouogh.  OR soon enough.  It's never a rejection of EWHAT was said, it's always about HOW it was said.  They can't fathom the concept that their most preciously held dogmas are not universally shared, and in fact might actually be anathema to some of us.  They keep thinking, "Let me put it to you this way, instead..."

No, I got it the first time.  And the second.  And the third.  And everytime it was still bullshit.

They pivot to this so easily because it fits so well with the "communism didn't work because it was never implemented properly" theme.  Millions of dead bodies later and these fucktards are yammering over the "purity" of their shit systems.  After 2000 and 2004 I kept waiting for there to be a complete purge of the donk party and a clearing out of the dead wood.  It didn't happen then and I doubt that it'll happen now.  If it happens it'll have to be at the ballot box because these worthless fucks are incapable of changing their ways voluntarily.  Tuesday was a good first step and if the misery continues November should be a lot of fun.  But it'll take a lot of work because winning an open seat against a hapless opponent is one thing; and dislodging an incumbent is another.

She's up against either Fiorina, DeVore and the "Moderate" perpetual candidate Tom Campbell. Fiorina messed-up HP then got driven out when she was busted wiretapping the Board. Posner who?

I can only hope DeVore can mobilize the base.

Tom Campbell is a nice guy, but a three time loser and not tough enough. As for the nonsense that only a wussbag "moderate" can beat Boxer, the one and only challenger that ever got close to beating her was "extremist" Bruce Herschensohn (sp?). Being vocally anti-abortion and vocally pro-offshore drilling, he came within a percentage point of winning. Meanwhile "moderate" pansies Matt Fong and Bill Jones went down in flames. "Moderate" pansy Tom Campbell himself was shellacked by Dianne Feinstein.

As for Carly, well, the HP people still can't stand her. She could have done much better quietly working her way through the California GOP ranks, because despite her debacle at HP, her managerial acumen I do not doubt.
