— Ace I continue reaching into Hot Air's pockets looking for stuff.
Even before the votes are counted, Senator Evan Bayh is warning fellow Democrats that ignoring the lessons of the Massachusetts Senate race will “lead to even further catastrophe” for their party.“There’s going to be a tendency on the part of our people to be in denial about all this,” Bayh told ABC News, but “if you lose Massachusetts and that’s not a wake-up call, there’s no hope of waking up.”
I just settled into Blogger's Row at the venue. The place is busting; as you might have see at Hot Air, no one's using the coat-check at Coakley's venue. They don't expect to be staying long.
It's the opposite here. This is the lamest crap ever written but there is energy and excitement here, and the media seem to be here for a story.
And you know what? There is pudding on the way, being delivered.
Okay going to get a drink and see if I can scare up any nonsense hubbub about the campaign staff being "confident" and the other crap that everyone else writes about.

And is there any chance that a transparently false claim about pre-marked ballots will be (1) tossed out by a MA judge and, hope upon hope, (2) lead to an investigation of A.G. Coakley resulting in her losing her job?

on the radio they just brought up the point that Obama, the C-in-C, shit all over Scott Brown, a member of the military for 30 years, at Coakley's rally on Sunday.
I didn't even think of that. Before Obama trashed Scott's character, did Obama thank him for his service?
I can't stand that piece of shit Obama and his stupid shout-outs to his lackeys and sycophants while he shits all over our members of the US armed forces.

On the one hand I want the idiot Dems to listen to Bayh and drop the more vile bits of their agenda, so that they can not become law. But on the other hand, if they commit political suicide it might be worth it to let a few things go so the Reps can repeal them. If they somehow cram "health care" though, it CAN be repealed - the bennies don't start right away. Saving America from it could earn the Reps a lot of points.
Ah well. Back to choosing my ball dipping fluid.

Nothing further then he uttered; not a feather then he fluttered;
Till I scarcely more than muttered, "Other friends have flown before;
On the morrow he will leave me, as my hopes have flown before."
Then the bird said, "Fucking Scott Brown Bitch."

I read something the other day about how pollster's often undervalue the power of incumbency when it comes to polling, ie they poll incumbents a couple points lower than they should since incumbents have an advantage, and thus Brown is polling a couple points higher than he should. But shouldn't that work the other way around as well? That Kennedy was getting a few more points when it came to re-election time simply because he was the incumbent and thus people were discouraged to show up to the polls to vote against him, but they figured he couldn't be defeated?

If a Democrat can lose (or come this close to losing) in MA, they can lose anywhere that the Democrats can't guarantee a huge Democratic vote, including possibly some "safe" seats.
The tone deafness by Democratic leaders to this is remarkable.
For the past week there have been multiple stories about a "backup plan" for HCR. This is a political atmosphere where it would be easier to strike the letter "W" from the English language than to prudently think of passing HCR while maintaining a future in politics.

VErY INTERESTING....
I have been watching Chris Matthews' Hardball @ 7PM to see what his take is on the election and Matthews has been asking Politico's Jonathan Martin if Martin sees Scott Brown as a possible challenge to Obama in 2012. Martin demured, saying it was way too early to discuss such a possibility, but Matthews said, that he likes to call it when he sees it... and he thinks Scott Brown has "it" -- political appeal to vie for the Presidency.
No word though, on whether or not Chrissy felt a "tingle going up his leg"....

As the results come in, I'll be sipping my amber adult beverage, and waiting for the numbers to come in for a Brown win. If/when I see a Brown lead, then I'll be dipping my fingers into the brew and then swirling the brew-laden fingers around the girls. Concentrating on a couple of specific areas, ya know.
Go Scott Brown!

Incidentally, Beck laid out the case for the Obama marxists stepping on the gas ala Thelma and Louise if Brown wins. He made the case for them coming after their supposed "own" in the democrat party who don't support the progressive agenda. It was quite.... plausible. Then take a look at the first post of the day at Hillbuzz. They've been getting threats of serious bodily harm from DC and Chicago if they continue to support Brown, and they have been the topic of smears and slurs to the point they have lost some consulting jobs (they're anonymous, but these operatives have found out their personal info). They're now fighting against the machine.
They are experiencing exactly what Beck laid out today. Ominous, imo.

great thought from the Instadude..
“You don’t start trashing the White House—a.k.a. the people who hand out jobs and control DNC money—if there is any chance you’re going to win. And the White House wouldn’t offer that ‘one reason’ if they hadn’t seen the same internal polls the Coakley campaign has.”
