Words from our dear leader.
Code:  Corporate = private enterprise.

"The basic idea is that if we put our blind faith in the market and we let corporations do whatever they want and we leave everybody else to fend for themselves, then America somehow automatically is going to grow and prosper."
--Barack Obama

Obama and the democrats want to destroy private enterprise and replace it with big government union control.  We can all be wards of the state.

Mainly that the 'old-timers' on the site get to break all the rules and insult everybody without repercussions.

Well...he may be off his meds. The other day on Softball With Chrissy Matthews, he called Dick Blumenthal "pompus and arrogant" over his false claims of Vietnam Service. For whatever reason, Chrissy will suck a liberal's dick until they inflate their military service, then, for some reason, he gets all bent out of shape. Like he still has a glimmer of humanity left in him.

Perhaps that's because he referred to West Point and its Corps of Cadets as "an enemy camp" when they declined to faint upon seeing the Won last year. He got his ass handed to him after that. From this I'd gather that he didn't enjoy that experience.

77 Given the revelations about Malcolm Forbes' personal life (he got rather flamingly gay late in life after having a number of kids) it would be rather hard to shock Steve Forbes. Steve was a pretty poor presidential candidate but is strongly right wing and fairly socially conservative (he went strongly pro-life for his 2000 campaign). Steve was also a member of PNAC, so he's very strong on anti-terrorism and defence. That doesn't go down well with the isolationists but I'm pretty sure AoS is pretty friendly with neo-conservatism and taking on all hostile forces, be they in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia or Berkeley! Worrying about Freedom Works is like worrying if Dick Cheney is conservative enough or that squish Ronald Reagan. They are good people doing good work, though they're not nearly as influential as the left made them out earlier in the year with the whole "teaparties are astroturf" meme. It would be good if Ace got the bethewave site to actually work though

Hmm, don't remember the drama with this story. I don't get into the comments over there like here (not near as much fun), but maybe that's where everything went down.

I just think Erickson finally found a niche that appeals to me, and his writing has gotten better. Some of the cobloggers there also appeal to me. I just didn't get the anti-Redstate vibe, and wondered what prompted it.

Plus, I definitely wouldn't put me in the "know what I'm talking about" category. I'm just here more today cuz I'm bored, and the boss isn't leaning on us hard today.

Redstate treats opposing points of view as a bug, unless they are written by long-time posters, then they are a feature.  That's what the problem is.  Arguments are won or lost by how long you've been a member there, not by how good your arguments are.

As for echo chambers...Redstate is one of the worst echo chambers there is.  Half the comments are "55555555" on any article written by the old-timers.

108 The Demplosion vid should have the bethewave2010 address in the description on YouTube, or have the address come up at the end of the video. So people can pass it around and it will generate traffic. Jim Geraghty put it up at NRO but there's no way to tell who it's from or to use it to get to the website.

109 They also invited Cumo to come on the show "he hasn't gotten back to us yet, we're confident he wants to come on the show".

Palladino has some pretty hardcore plans....Cumo thinks he can just lay low and win.....while Palladino has super duper great plans to help create jobs...and he's said them before Andy so now what is Andy going to say...Palladino's plans make too much logical sense.

What infrastructure?  Are they providing transportation or something, 'cause otherwise it just seems as though the project requires a website for signing up and an audience, both of which ace has.

It is sloppy to not explain the partnership arrangement up front.

Exactly. I went there and it seems to be a site for recruiting team leaders and bloggers/twitterers. There seems to be no place to merely say, "I'm in district x and if anyone else is going to be doing GOTV there I'd like to be contacted."

I don't think this site is targeting the vast majority of AoSHQ readers, being the dysfunctional morons we are. Perhaps Ace wants the bloggers of any website that joins the "Be the Wave" program to recruit their readers, which would mean a process here kind of like the moron meetups threads.

That said, anyone here from Kanjorski's district? That's District 11, PA - Luzerne, Lackawanna, Carbon, Columbia and Monroe counties.

130 Be the wave? F--k that - thinking too small. Be the HUGE ASS TSUNAMI that devastates Dems this November.

Call people. Drive them to the polls if they need it. But get out there and vote.

If you think that in the face of an overwhelming loss that the Dems won't resort to their typical ACORN fraud stuff you're nuts.

If it's not close, they can't cheat. Don't let them. Be the TSUNAMI and absolutely wreck the Democrats at the polls.

Posted by: Naqamel at October 14, 2010 10:09 AM (UMwMT)

131 While we are all gaga on another wave election like the 1894 republican wave we should keep something in mind. The Republicans engineered that wave by blaming a massive recession on Grover Cleveland who actually was a conservative by today's standards. He was in the group who controlled the Democrat Party at the time called the "Bourbon Democrats".

With that wave election of 1894 the "free silver" progressives of William Jennings Bryan took over the Party and the Dems have never looked back.

One wonders what this realignment will bring with the Dems after 2012?

141 Are you interested in Soccer? Right, you really like playing football. Plus, Soccer is just getting to be a worldwide popular sport nowadays. As fans of Soccer, you should get fully prepared at first. For example, you would better prepare a suitable pair of soccer cleats , a set of soccer jerseys or whatever. Otherwise, you will not enjoy an exciting football match. Anyway, it is necessary and essential to prepare for the football match in a good way.(yang)
