— Ace He's in a D+7 district, tough but not undoable, and his opponent's wife was just convicted of federal tax falsification charges in connection with her brother, a federal fugitive:
The wife of US Representative John F. Tierney pleaded guilty today in US District Court in Boston to four counts of aiding and abetting the filing of false tax returns for her brother, who is a federal fugitive indicted on illegal gambling charges. . . .
I am 95% sure I met this guy at Scott Brown's election night. He introduced himself and told me he could win. I think he can, with a little cash-money help.
And another guy who can win: Bobby Schilling, candidate for IL-17. More on that district after you meet him.
So, the current Representative for IL-17 is... Phil "I don't care what the Constitution says" Hare, who recently decided he wasn't quite stupid enough and decided to go full-retard. Announcing that "every minute I'm here, I'm going to be debunking the myth that this country's in debt and we just can't spend."
True facts according to Phil Hare:
1) It doesn't matter what the Constitution says.
2) It's a myth that this country's in debt.
3) Our children are counting on us to spend their birthright or else they may run out of money.
4) Rice pudding > tapioca.

Bobby Schilling also needs help. If not cash-money help, how about knock-on-doors help?

October 7, 2010: The U.S. Army has ordered 3,600 upgrade kits for its M24 bolt-action sniper rifles, which will convert them to the M24E1. This will turn the existing 7.62mm M24 rifles into ones capable of firing the .300 Winchester magnum (7.62x67) round. This is a more powerful round than the NATO 7.62x51 round currently used in the M24. The conversion kit includes a new receiver and barrel, a new scope, a new flash suppressor and a folding buttstock. The conversion will take five years and will cost about $7,800 per rifle.

I don't know if the phrase "I like my coffee like I like my men: fat and retarded" refers to how ace/ewok likes his men, or how Phil Hare likes his men.
But the genius of that line is that either way, it works.

Does anyone in DC know what $7,800 will buy on the civilian market? A rifle that is more accurate than anything in the military's arsenal (except for the shooting team stuff), will last longer, and probably comes with a few extra barrels. And for that price a BJ or two.

I'm afraid to ask...How much do new guns that fire a 7.62x67 round (or better) cost?

No offense meant. Hare looks like the kind of puffy, jowly fat man that can't walk up a single flight of stairs without wheezing and having a coronary. As opposed to the Chris Christie type of fat man who might hang over his belt a bit and sweat a lot, but has more energy than a busload of rat terriers.

I was happy (and somewhat surprised) to read this at Breitbart's Big Government site:
House Republicans have drafted a go-for-broke blueprint for the final weeks of the midterm campaign that will bring them to $45 million in television ad spending, with spots reserved in 62 congressional districts across the nation.
They're planning to go beyond playing it safe by funding likely turnovers. Could it be that the NRCC is catching on?

You can buy a McMillan, which is a well-regarded brand, for about $5,000, but that's a bit pricey. But that's the whole rifle. An upgrade kit is probably just a new barrel, a new bolt, and a new magazine. $7,800 is mind-bogglingly stupid.

They claimed that other religions are allowed in majority moslum countires. Their facts? That there is a Jew in the Iranian parliament and that ibrahim cooper of CAIR said that that wasn't true.
