BP Executive Provides Reassurance, Creepiness
— Ace

Where do I know this accent from? (Vid at bottom.)

Ah yes. I can't find it on the 'net, but Howard Stern used to play the answering machine message from a NAMBLA chapter president.

Best I can do is link Stern's impression of the guy (Content Warning). The actual guy sounded more like BP dude; Stern's getting his impression mixed up with Gilbert Gotfried's impression Martin Landau's Bela Lugosi.

NAMBLA president was also really into "the small people" too.

I'm not surprised.  BP is pro-Democrat, and Democrats have supported pedophilia for years.  When a Republican sees a child, he thinks, "How can I defend this child?"  When a Democrat sees a child, he thinks, "How many holes does he/she have, are they tight enough, and do I have enough money left on my welfare account to buy some more KY jelly after using it all up on last night's bisexual orgy?"

Another BP stockholder is Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman John Kerry, who owns stock valued at between $1,001 and $15,000. Kerry, D-Mass., last year sold shares in Transocean, the company that owned the BP rig that continues to spew oil into the Gulf.

Kerry's office said the senator has no control over inherited holdings in family trusts and his stock holdings "clearly have no impact on his fight for a green economy and a clean environment."

Wait a fucking minute.

BP puts a moratorium on paying dividends?

In other words the shareholders who put their faith in BP's execs are going to pay for this?

Maybe the execs should put a moratorium on their salaries. Or maybe they should help pay for the damage from their own pocket. I can't believe this shit. BP is passing the buck and sticking the shareholders with the bill!

It sounds like a natural description to Europeans.  They all know their place in their societies and they all know that they are allowed to live and breathe only because of the generosity and goodwill of the governments that own the countries.  Europeans understand, as all collectivists do, that they are just little people who really should be seen and not heard.  The way the EU was rammed down their throats was mostly meant just to slam this point home to any of the little people who didn't quite get it.

As I keep saying, the typical Dem strategy

1. Ignore the problem if it is one of their "people".
2. Blame Republicans and deregulation.
3. Call for an increase in taxes and fees.
4. Call for more equally bad regulation that will not cure any problems.

Yep sounds like it would be acceptable to Europeans.  To us all people are equal.  You may be richer and have more power than me but I'll be damned if you think you're my better.  In Europe you still have that idea of nobility.  I distinctive higher class in their eyes.

I remember that Nambla message quite well, as Stern played it quite a few times and I have lots of tapes of the show from those days (Billy West was a regular in the mid 1990s and the show was probably then at its best.) I always thought the Nambla guy sounded like he was trying to disguise his voice with an accent (I thought sort of subcontinent Indian) but it sounded like the accent got thicker one moment and thinner the next.
