I think he does tend to grill conservatives - but I think he does tend to do the same to libs.  His style might be a bit different, though.  I think he tries to lull the libs into a false sense of security by starting soft, then he either nails them through a direct approach or sometimes, if they are full blown retard, he just lets them hang themselves with their own comments. 

But, yeah, he's not in the stable of the political news hosts, although I do see him cover non-financial stories too.

And, yes, I know it's true.  And I know that, in fact, it was a campaign event designed to show Americans "Hey, We'll like you again if you elect this guy," but proving that in court would be somewhat difficult.

Now, if there were a statute preventing electoral candidates from making political speeches on foreign soil during an election cycle- that'd be a slam dunk.  As I recall, in this case, however, the actual speech was directed at the German people (who can't vote, so it can't be a campaign speech)  and never directly referenced the election.  But I could be remembering that incorrectly.
