— Ace Most of it online, by the way.
"We'll be able to pay our bills," I saw a campaign worker say dryly earlier, refusing to comment on the exact level of support they were getting, but noting "Money won't be a problem."
Not a problem at all, it seems.
Not sure, but maybe their new need is for bodies, for people to walk precincts and knock on doors and man the phone lines and drive people to the polls.
Nope: Money Still Is Needed; Democratic Groups Outspending Conservative Ones 2-to-1: They're spending their little hearts up out there.
We still need the moneybombs.

It's terrifying, contemplating the massive Dem machine that's slamming into gear: Brown outspent 2-to-1, TWO Presidents parachuting in to campaign (hey assholes, why don't you and your Special Envoy to Haiti go help the poor Haitians, for god's sake?). I'm reading navelgazing posts on RCP pondering whether Brown's peaked too soon or not, worrying about turnout in a race everyone knows about now....
....but fuck it. I think it's still gonna happen. In part because I think all this extra attention isn't going to drive turnout up nearly as much as people think. I think a lot of Dems will just feel disgusted and stay home.

Beck had some guest on his radio show this morning who was investigating this "situation". The guy said she could "recuse" herself but that she would be recusing herself from her entire job as she is in charge of weatherstripping. Beck was like "doesn't this tell you the government is too big when someone is in charge of weather stripping?" and he joked with the guy saying "but really this business of these two isn't enough, tell me something I can use." The guy paused for like an eternity and said "hello?"....i think the guy was horrified by this and beck was insinuating that this was nothing for the dems. It was very funny for everyone but the serious guest.

Let's lay this one to rest right now. The RNC and NRSC may well be a bunch of tools, but they're doing EXACTLY what Brown has asked them to, which is stay the hell out of the way. Money and logisitical support under the table, but keeping as conceivably low a profile as possible. Big heavy thumbprints labelled "RNC" would have been poison in this race. I have absolutely no doubt that Brown said, early on, "thanks but your brand isn't exactly popular in this state."

Off-topic alert, WND-caution, but you gotta check this out:
Cass Sunstein, Obama's regulatory czar, allegedly wrote a paper in 2008 saying "The theory of global warming is a deliberate fraud," and should be banned.
Banned?
And that government agents should infiltrate American citizenry-groups who may hold these, and other unapproved, ideas.
I'm the first one to admit that there are a lot of kooky conspiracy theories.
But "banning" them? In America?
The land of free speech?
And "banning" opposing views in science?

Rise up citizens of Massachusetts! Democrat, Republican and Independent ... you stand on the shoulders of giants! You led the fight against tyranny and oppression once before. Now is the time to show the nation and the world, once again, that you will not sit idle while the freedoms we cherish so dearly in this great country of ours are summarily and methodically bound in the chains of that age old false promise. Tell all the world that the Unied States will not go silently into that dark night!
Raise the ghosts of your forebearers; patriots who risked all! Rouse your families, friends, neighbors, and strangers on the streets from their slumber! Scott Brown was never so right when he said "It is not Kennedy's seat, it is the peoples seat!" Knock on doors, write the papers, call into the radio, scream it from the street corners and the tops of buildings. Fill your cars ... run, walk, or crawl! Get to the polls if you have to take an ambulance! This is the moment history will judge you by!
"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”—Samuel Adams

150 Tight as Jack Benny's wallet.
OOOHH!! A Jack Benny reference! There is no bigger Jack Benny fan than me. If anyone cares, the cocksuckers at CBS decided last week to seal his TV archives away from the public forever, despite a request from his estate.

Here's the text from an email that I received Saturday from the fan club:
In December 2008 when I was at CBS overseeing the color specials transfer, I was told that CBS had the Benny television program masters. I was breathless!
I got a listing of their holdings, and selected about 25 shows that are currently uncirculated and in the public domain. I sent the request for us to digitally preserve these shows, at the IJBFC's cost, to Lorra-Lea Bartlett, the Manager of the CBS Contracts Rights and Clearances department.
This was followed by about nine months of waiting for the CBS New York legal department to respond to the request. On September 7th, I was asked to provide a letter from the Benny Estate requesting that the programs be released, and "that should get this unstuck." The Estate happily provided the letter to CBS. I continued to follow up weekly for status.
Today I was informed by Peter Murray, Lorra-Lea's assistant, that she had talked with CBS' Vice President of Business Affairs, and "there are so many issues with those shows, that even if we took the time to figure it out, we still almost certainly wouldn't do the deal." So that's it. Access to the Jack Benny television masters is sealed.
In 1964, James Aubrey told Jack Benny that his weekly television series was terminated with the words, "YOU'RE THROUGH, OLD MAN!" Sadly, 46 years later, CBS has repeated the sentiment by condemning these shows to permanent silence.

Do you really want Scott Brown and his earthquakes around your children and your children's schools? Vote for Martha Coakley, and I'll keep the earthquakes out of Massachusetts.

100 million for Haiti? Come on those Acorn guys don't speak french, they just look like Haitians.

We here at Team Coakley wants to keep rabid scary bulldogs away from your children, out of your churches, synagogues, and mosques.
Come next Tuesday, vote for Martha Coakley for dog catcherUS Senate.

Acorn flying in to get those absentee votes. All Haitians will have to register in MA to get relief. One vote, one bottle of water.
Hey, it worked in LA.

O Reilly just stated that you, the US taxpayer, have spent over 2 billion dollars on Haiti since the 90's and that this relief effort will cost a billion.
9 million people, $1000 first class ticket to Ivory Coast, they speak french too, $900,000,000. We get an empty country and no more liablity.
New golf courses that "The One" can play!
Move em out, stop the bleeding.
Africans love africa and a free plane ticket!
The One might get to count these peoples as "Jobs saved".
I guess they'll have to vote Jan 19th to get the ticket.

The amazing thing is we have what could be considered a Tea Party Canidate in Joe Kennedy...
Hey dummy, if you knew what you were talking about you'd know your 'tea party candidate' endorsed Alan Khazei in the Democrat primary. Khazei is the moonbat who was also endorsed by the Boston fucking Globe.
Nice try, though.

It's pretty dumb to think Joe Kennedy is some sort of conservative -- he's a liberal libertarian, and he'll probably vote for Coakley on Tuesday.
Posted by: This Is Kissel at January 14, 2010 04:35 PM (AlREO)
The only things I know about this Kennedy are that (a) he's not one of THOSE Kennedys and (b) he's not electable.
Ideological statements are fine when (a) you can't win or (b) there's nothing on the line. Right now everything is on the line, as bad as ObamaCare might be cap-and-trade is far, far worse.

Hey guys! Let's read between the lines!
(You know, after all these years of being intermittently accused of being a concern troll myself, it's fucking sweet to be able to call out some obvious ones myself.)
In the extremely remote off-chance that you're not a concern troll, let me boil this down for you: IF SCOTT BROWN ONLY PROVIDES US WITH THE 41st NO VOTE ON HEALTHCARE AND THEN PROCEEDS TO VOTE LEFT OF BERNIE SANDERS FOR TWO YEARS IT WILL STILL BE TOTALLY OKAY WITH EVERY PERSON HERE. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US. NOT A SINGLE ONE OF US HERE WOULD TURN DOWN THAT DEAL.
Hence, your "concerns" are meaningless. Stopping healthcare means defeating the most elemental threat to domestic governance since god-knows-when. Cap-and-trade? Feh. Let Brown vote for that if he thinks it would help him get reelected; there's no way in fucking hell that it will even approach 60 votes as is. You think Byrd & Rockefeller, or Webb and Warner, or Hagan would vote for something that kneecaps their states and guarantees their defeat? You should see how Democratic Virginia House delegates in coal-country did during this year's election when cap & trade was an issue. (Hint: popular incumbent D wiped out by 15% margin.)

On another note, a mill a day, how long we been at this? 4-5 days? Sounds like some ass kicking is coming down the line.

It's the smell of VICTORY!

It's not a place, it's a university in Boston. They conduct polls for MA state elections, sort of like how Quinnipiac University (betcha didn't know Quinnipiac was actually a university and not just some independent polling outfit!) does its Quinnipiac poll. So the "Suffolk poll" is a poll of the race in the entire state. I honestly can't tell you ANYTHING about their methodology or how respected/accurate they are, just that it's another data point. But then again that hackish DSCC "internal poll" that was released a week ago showing Coakley up +15 has been treated as a legit data point despite the obvious fact the campaign only would release something making it look good. So let's just hope for a good number, scope out the crosstabs, and keep fighting.

Cap & Tax? Fundamentally repealable. There isn't going to be 100 million people directly relying upon 'promises' inherent in the bill.
Healthcare has the chance - and appears to be fundamentally designed to - atrophy aspects of the private sector, and fundamentally kill others. It's very tough to 'fix' the complete lack of individualized health insurance. This is somewhat like what was initially intended with Fredie and Fanny. Set up by government and gradually pushed out of the nest until the cord could be cut.... Or not. How about we real them back in an reabsorb the complete fiasco. Again.

All these clowns that keep saying there's no chance of Brown winning are doing the same job as these paid eeyores. That's the difference between a whore and a slut, right?
I learned a long time ago that if you put your head down and smash your opponents right in the middle, you might just beat them. If not, they sure don't like winning near as much as they do when you turn your back and give it to them.
