California Dreamin'
— Gabriel Malor

I meant to put this up yesterday, but got distracted. If you're into podcasts, Carly Fiorina was on the John Batchelor show on Wednesday and did a great job talking about how she wants to turn Barabara Boxer's hellish economic policies around. Get the mp3 here.

On that note:

...in August of 2000 the total number of employed persons in California stood at 15.994 million. And in August 2010? Answer: 15.968 million.

Yeah, we're headed towards a double-dip out here. And the voters know that it's the Democrats' fault. They had their shot. Now it's time for some Republican leadership.

12 Completely O/T, but did anyone see Generalissimo Colin Powell on Meet the Press (or whatever the hell) this AM?  They guy admitted to having illegal aliens do work on his home.  David Gregory (I think) asked "do you still consider yourself a Republican?"  His convincing response?  "Sure, why not?"   He then went on to trash conservatives and the Tea Party.

Hardly a revelation, you Affirmative Action fraud.  Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

17 With all due respect to Colin Powell's service in Vietnam, I don't see where he's done jack schmidt since then.  During the Gulf War, he was doing TV interviews while Norman Schwarzkopf was directing the battle.  Even then, I wasn't too impressed with Colin Powell.  And that was the high point of his career.

18 PPP (D) after having the weekend to pad...er.. analyze their polls is already bragging it has a poll coming out tomorrow showing Boxer and Brown doing well. Funny, NO OTHER FUCKING POLLSTER shows either of them doing that. But hey, we are going to get a lot of this stuff. Most people I know who are squishes will vote Fiorina if it looks like she could win- PPP and others know that so of course the push polls come out to depress Republican turnout in Cali- its the only way they could win this year.

Also it couldn't hurt to put up a post regarding CA's 47th district race. Van Tran is running against incumbent Dem Loretta Sanchez, one of the contestants for Stupidest Representatives in the World.

Besides being tied to La RAZA and in favor of full-blown open borders, she's now involved in some lobbyist scandal and is looking weak.

Tran needs a lot of help and it'd make a decent post, if not just part of an election 'round-up.'

Two months ago, ya'll were calling Fiorina RINO. And no doubt she will be called RINO in the future. Here's the deal. You want to kick Barbara Boxer out of Congress? You're gonna have to learn to deal with it.

She is a RINO, but better than an AINO - which would be Boxer.

I'll be voting for Fiorina, but I won't be liking it.

Same here. I don't have much time for Fiorina, who is a first-class fuckup, but Boxer is a world-class fuckup. If nothing else, Fiorina may get a few votes right by sheer happenstance, whereas Boxer is reliably head-up-ass at all times.

80 For a better graphic, contrast California employment with other states, say, Texas.

Just left a Carly campaign function. Yard signs coming on Thursday. Signed up to walk precincts. An elderly lady there said that this is the first time the GOP has found someone decent to run against Ma'am Boxer.

If Carly loses we are royally screwed....

83 so of course the push polls come out to depress Republican turnout in Cali- its the only way they could win this year.

I will crawl over broken glass to vote, if I have to.  I'm old enough to remember Moonbeam's first time in office.  "If it's Brown, flush it down!"

84 Thanks, Garb. The oil money is probably unavoidable down here, and to be totally honest I don't really give a damn about hookers either, unless he's married.
