Cavuto: Hey, Maybe Obama Won't Seek A Second Term
— Ace

Over at Hot Air.

As I've mentioned, this is something I say when I want to break the ice with the ladies. And you can therefore see why I'm thigh-deep in pooter.

Video metaphor below.
I had this in the sidebar. There isn't any gore, but this is a bad crash. The driver is alive and alert but in critical condition.

I sort of have to link it because it's going viral anyway.

This reminds me about Obama's argument that you want to put the car into "D" for drive and not "R" for reverse.

Not always, buddy. Not always.

Thanks to Dr. Spank.

7 It's a scam.

The plan is to get everyone expecting that he will not run, his supporters will get all frothy and crazy and 'yes we can-ish', then voila! Iman Obama will listen to the wishes of the commoner/infidel and rise to the occasion of a second term.

I think this was just a stepping stone. He leaves office writes a couple of books, gives speaches and makes about $10 Million a year or more.

45 If he has any brains, he'll talk about one "great term rather than a mediocre two terms" to sound noble. If he wants the party to keep talking to him, he'll never say it like he means it. Once they think that he's not serious about continuing, the money will stop, like it did for Gore when he dropped out, and then about coming back in in 2008. He already has no coat tails. If they think that he's cruising along for the next two years, that even bigger herd of Senate Dems up for election in 2012 will abandon him.

Put stats up in the front window, still going top speed through this wasteland: Deficit during first six years of Bush and then the deficit from 06-08 with a Dem. Congress. Then the deficit with Obama and Dem. Congress. Unemployment rate with Clinton and Rep. Congress and Bush and Rep. Congress then with Dem. Congress under Bush and now Obama. Then the car goes of a cliff. Free fall viewed from the drivers window. Voiceover with Obama: "R is for reverse. R is for Republican. Ya know do we really want to put it into reverse. Hah. hah." Ground comes up. Dark screen. Loud boom. D is for driving us of a cliff and Democrat. R is for putting us in reverse and finding the right road forward. Paid for by the Republican party.

58 On the otherhand, having never really having to face a significant challenge before, I suppose there is credibility to the argument that Obama is a lightworker who doesn't want to put in the effort.

Seriously - I have wondered about this myself.  I mean, he doesn't even make an attempt to look like he's trying to govern by the will of the people.  He looks upon the American people as not nearly smart enough to appreciate how really, really brilliant he is.  And he doesn't even try to hide the disdain he feels toward all of us, the great unwashed.
Perhaps he figures he's got enough material for four or five books, and now that William Ayers is retired from teaching, he's got lots and lots of time to write them for him.  Throw in a cushy job at a socialist think tank, one that only requires him to show up at fundraisers and remind everyone that he was The First Black President...hell, he's got it made, doesn't need another term.  Fuck the world up in four years, then retire to the golf course and leave it to someone else to straighten out.
Hmmmm...maybe he really is really, really brilliant...

The Precedent is constantly trying to antagonize America.   He challenges us to throw him out, as that is part of his attempt to destroy our institutions.  If we don't, he has succeeded in sucking the faith and trust out of our most fundamental institutions, which does grave harm to our nation.  If we do, the US is thrown into disarray by the massive moves that would need to be taken and the strife among Americans - especially cut along racial lines.  Either way, it presents serious harm to America.

That is the Indonesian Imbecile's strategy and all that he is about.  Plain and simple.

With liberals, every accusation is projection.  Every accusation.

But here's the question: If he doesn't run, when does he announce it?  He's got to be all-in by, at the latest, November 2011.  When he does, he's a lame duck.  Moreover, the Dem running will wan to run away from him.

I think he doesn't run.  His ego can't accept his losing.  As to 1-term presidents being failures, Obama thinks he's an exception to everything.  He'll just think that he'll be Churchill, unappreciated in his own time.

Ten bucks says Ebola has a complete personality fracture some time in February and then calls a press conference and takes the stage wearing a prom dress.

I have often wondered if this was a part of the thought process that led him to choose Crazy Uncle Joe as his VP.  Sort of an insurance policy; we could throw him out, or hope he resigns in disgust, but - jeez, look at the order of succession.  Biden, then Pelosi, then Inouye (who's what - 100 years old?), then Screech Clinton - it just gets worse as it goes along.  There's no "lesser of two evils", there's just worse, and worse, and even worse.

When I said that he was challenging us to throw him out and the problems it would cause, that had nothing to do with succession. The Precedent is constantly looking to being the US to a Constitutional crisis and to foment chaos among our population.  He couldn't care less about succession or anything of the sort.  Of course, if the US had brains (and some balls) we would have dealt with this problem long, long ago and this would all be a non-issue.  But, we didn't, so we are going to see The Precedent shred the Constitution over and over and over until either he or the US is finished.

Get real.  Does anyone think that Michelle will want to retire from the spotlight and give up her jaunts to Spain and Martha's Vineyard?   And we all know who wears the pants in that family.

93 However, his ego couldn't withstand the following:

 (a) the constant (and rightly deserved) criticism

(b)  resigning on his own and being a lame duck

(c) running again and risk losing.

Posted by: laceyunderalls at August 23, 2010 09:01 PM (B57/k)

I'm telling you, lacey, he doesn't care about any of that.  He doesn't mind making a total fool of himself in public.  He revels in it.  You are correct about (B).  He would never resign.  NEVER.  But he doesn't care about (A) or (C).  Not one bit.  We know this because he gets out in public and makes a fool of himself ALL THE TIME. I've never heard anyone who said so many idiotic things in public.  It just doesn't bother him, because he is not really hurting himself, he's injuring the office of the Presidency as he does that, and that is part of his drive to denigrate and destroy our public institutions.

95 I would say, "no". The Indonesian Imbecile actually thought that Biden would bring gravitas to his ticket.

Well, if that was what he thought, to call him an imbecile is doing a great disservice to imbeciles everywhere.  Biden's good for one thing, and one thing only - comedy relief.  As my husband keeps saying - nobody ever wanted Biden as president, why the hell does he think anybody wants him as vice president?

I've said from the beginning that Obama's too much of a bored, lazy dilettante to run for a second term. Presidentin' is hard. I assumed Hillary would get the nomination and win.

I'm going to amend that - Hil will get the nod, but pissed-off black folks will stay home. If the Republicans run a halfway-decent candidate, Hil loses.

You almost had me PoP. I'm with you--he has no respect for the Office in which he was elected to serve. He's self-destructive. And of course, the lamestream will never report (or outrightly cover for him) when he says shit like 'decreasing insurance premiums by 3,000%', 'Sycacuse', 'CORPSEmen', goodness this is quite a list off the top of my head.

But....

Going out in a blaze of glory like that, nah, I don't think his NPD can even fathom it.

His entire life has been an endless parade (more like charade) of people covering for him. Why would a fake illness be any different?

At the end of all of it, we'll all be his "Bush". All of us that had the 'audacity of nope' to his agenda will be the ones that drove him out of office. He'll need four weekly rounds of golf to cure his fauxailment.

Posted by: laceyunderalls at August 23, 2010 05:17 PM (B57/k)

103 I'd love to believe this, but I'm convinced that he'll run. It doesn't matter what his poll numbers are, he thinks he can just give a speech and turn it around.

Here's what I hope--that we run someone who is crafty enough to mock him right to his face during a presidential debate. I truly think that thin-skinned little bitch will lose his shit if that happens, but the person who does it has to be one smooth cat to pull it off.

The key is  to come off as an amiable, twinkle-in-the-eye sort while you're doing it.

104 To most Americans, hell, to most of the world, achieving the Presidency of the United States is considered the pinnacle, the apex, the zenith of all political or professional achievements. There simply is no more powerful position in the world.

Obama, however, sees it differently. To Obama the Presidency is simply a resume builder. To him, it is merely a stepping stone to what he perceives a far great power....a far more illustrious calling... to head up a world conference. No. I didn't say the European Union or the United Nations. I said a world conference.

He will be four and done and it doesn't have a damned thing to do with the hard work of the Presidency nor the millions in speaking engagements and book advances that will await him. Sure. He will partake of the crazy sweet bucks that will be tossed at his feet but his eye is on a much bigger prize.

Mark my words.

Posted by: progressoverpeace at August 23, 2010 05:24 PM (Qp4DT)

106 There's a relatively fair chance he will not run.  He's lazy and, as stated, never had to face any hard challenges and/or real work his entire life.  By 2012, the wheels of total destruction for this republic will have been put in place, thus allowing him to go live abroad and fascinate the rest of the world with his teleprompter prowess.  The ego is what leaves me to question, but he'll still get the adoring useful idiot masses wherever he goes from now on, so that part will be satiated to some degree.

Plus, I can't help but remember the secret meeting I recall him having with Bill during the general election.  Unless I'm dreaming that.....

Maybe we should not assume that Obama himself knows what he's going to do.

Maybe he's just winging it day-to-day and being carried along by events, living in a fog that we can't imagine. He'll tell himself he's a shoe-in for 2012, then three minutes later lurch to the other extreme and figure "no way."

I'm not saying that's how it is, just saying it should not be ruled out.

I believe the plan is to let Obama do whatever crazy crap he can get away with and then run Hillary in 2012 as (in comparison) a moderate/centrist.

Folks will say "My stars: it surely will be better to have a moderate like Hillary running the country: no more of this excess for us!!  Surely she can bring us back from the consequences of our well-intentioned misjudgment in putting him into office 4 years ago..."

But Hillary is not now nor has she ever been nor will she ever be a moderate.  She'll play one to get elected, tho- it worked for Obama... and pretty much anyone looks like a moderate standing next to him now...
Watch.  Been thinking about this for a while. Might just get away with it too.
IÂ’ll betcha

Oh and then the Dems will claim that they had no idea he was so radical back when they nominated him and that nominating Hillary represents their “coming to their senses”: then when Hillary gets in it will be full-throttle Obama part 2 like nothing’s changed.
Cuz it wonÂ’t have-

115 He will finish his term, then exit the stage, sweating. Someone will throw a cape or a large towel over him. He will then throw off the cape or towel and take the podium again, with new teleprompter script.

118 One way to fight the Progressive's Plan to destroy America would be for the states to call a Constitutional Convention.  There a number of things that could be done; like allowing the Legislature to overrule SCOTUS findings or impeach appointed judges who are using their position to implement of private agenda.  Another Amendment I'd like to see is a specific prohibion against the Federal Government from competing with private industry.  There are several other things that could be addressed.  Obama might not give a damn about the Constitution but most of the Courts do.
