As mentioned above, Crist simply won't outpoll Rubio; barring some unforeseen catastrophe where one of the other two candidates has to drop out, he can't win the election.   Comparing to a two-way election, the only way he can alter the results of the election is if he takes more votes from Meeks than he takes from Rubio and the vote is close enough that that's the determining factor.  Neither one of these two things is a foregone conclusion at this point.

Once he registers, he's on the ballot, and he has an in to the debates. Most of the possible damage will stem from these.If he's in as a spoiler, it doesn't matter if he cannot buy more ad time or signage. Someone above has already hit upon it.
