— LauraW The biggest holiday of the year is now rushing us like a pack of ravening Russian wolves.
And one little ewok is standing out in the cold facing the onslaught with no support except for the indulgence of a few spastic twits such as yourselves, my sweetie-sweet darling hearts.
Cool Fact about AOSHQ: It's not the only blog where the commenters argue daily that the host is an asshole; but it IS the only one where there is a 50% chance that after much debate and clarification the host can be brought over to their point of view.
That's kind of special, don't you think?
Yeah, the cob-loggers are doing a bleg again without Ace's knowledge or consent. Because otherwise he always says 'no.'
Won't you please click the Paypal button and drop a little holiday cheer into Ace's life?
It might be the best way to prevent another horrifying SluShop™ like this one from infesting your nightmares again anytime soon:

Thanks to 'someone' for the idea and the great timing.

And this!
This is why AoS is so important to me, because Ace walks the walk when it comes to the true spirit of debate. He is intellectually honest enough to sincerely listen and weigh others opinions. I am so done with pundits who are incapable of allowing that they may have ever been mistaken.
We should all be so open to critical thought.

I would agree, but like a DC elected representative of our Republic, the host does not recall, in a few days time, his epiphany and reverts to form.

They are a nightmare for me. I know how to use them, but I always have the item that won't ring up right, or doesn't register on the scales etc. By the end, the frustration level makes it more of a punishment than a 'service'. You'd have to be an idiot to finance someone else's self-indulgent ego-trip, which is what paying for a blog that can't support itself does.
Little tip: like it or not, pr0n and gambling (when it was legal on the net) were and are the only things that really pay the bills. We've used adult ads from the beginning and it pays for our quite substantial bandwidth costs (250k pageviews a day, uniques are irrelevant when you are talking about bandwidth costs).
I detest bloggers who beg for money to finance their self-indulgence. If you can't make enough money to keep your blog paid for, you obviously are not necessary to the internet, the world can do without you.
