— Dave in Texas I'm going with Indianapolis and the Saints.
Not that I'm any good at this.

I'd laugh and laugh if the Colts got beat, but it's unlikely that the Jets will another game on the road.
And today will be the day we see the Brett Favre we all know and love...throwing picks and running for no gain.

Isn't the final outcome of football games, most times, the opposite of DiT's predictions, or is that another co-blogger?
Regardless, I'll buck the trend set here and say it'll be the Jets and the Vikings.

Please don't let it be Colt v Vikings. Can you imagine two weeks of Manning versus Favre commentary.
Colts and Saints.

Having run the Pick'em league, I can vouch for Dave, he isn't very good at this.
However, I am just as bad as I think the same two teams will win. Regardless of who wins I want the NFC team to get the superbowl victory.

If the Vikings make it to the Superbowl, they will lose their fifth appearance, thus earning their place as an example of . . . something.

If the Vikings win today...
what's the longest span of years for a QB to make a return to the Super Bowl?
hmmm, Elway was in a couple of SBs early in his career, and then again late in his career.
brb...

John Elway was in Super Bowls 21, 22, 24, and then won Super Bowls 32 & 33. So Elway waited 8 years in between SB appearances.
Kurt Warner was in Super Bowls 34, 36, and then again in SB 43, which gives Warner a 7-year break from SB appearances.
Brett Favre was in Super Bowls 31 & 32.
If the Vikings win today, it will be 12 years since Favre was in a Super Bowl.
Wow.

Colts to go pound sand when Manning wanted to wear Unitas' shoes in a game.

Nope, can't do it. They were AFC when they beat my beloved Cowboys in 1971 and they are AFC now. F'ing Jim O'Brien.

actually Unitas had already passed away, and Manning wanted to wear the hi-tops as tribute. The NFL said black hi-tops violated uniform regulations. Manning wore them anyway and paid the fine.

Heh. No one in the NFL coaching world is ignoring or disdaining the Jets. They're all trying to figure out how to implement Rex's version of that old Bear 46 defense he got from dad. Ask Rivers.

I'm kind of sick of hearing about the Jets' DB Revis and how he's an island and basically ends up shutting down the passing game with how good he is against a team's No. 1 receiver. A fat lot of good that should do them against the Colts when their TE is almost as good as their No. 1.
Oh and here are some cheerleaders.

123 As bad as it looks for Indy right now, I suspect that (much like Elway) Payton can put up 21 points in the last 5 minutes.
I think Manning has actually done exactly that at least once before. Let's face it, unless New York is up by 2 scores with less than a minute left in the game the Colts are not out of it.
