— Open Blogger Dancing With the Stars is on tonight at 8:00 EST on ABC. I've never see the show and certainly don't plan on watching tonight, however I do plan on sending in a text message vote for Bristol Palin.
As I've made clear in the comments, I am not a huge Palinista, but the death threats , DWTS insider who said that the show's integrity would be harmed if she won, the ex-elected official in Vermont who shot his tv leading to a subsequent stand off, the fake anthrax letter sent to the DWTS studio addressed to Bristol Palin, and now the death threats directed at her partner as well having resulted in increased security tonight, have changed my views on sitting idly by.
I plan on voting tonight. I'm not advocating you do it but...do it. It'll be worth it if for no other reason than to twist the knife that was plunged into the Liberal psyche on November 2.
Think of it this way. How many of your favorite shows were ruined when the writers decided to inject their liberal politics into the story line? Isn't it time we got a little revenge?
I'm not sure how the voting works. I assume it is at the end of every episode. Maybe someone in the comments can crack an egg of knowledge on my head. I'd be happy to put the details up.
Standard commenting rates apply. So may sure you get your parents permission before commenting.
Update: Darin H in the comments says the number is 1(800)868-3407 and Y-Not directed me to the voting rules page at ABC. Y-Not also mentioned that texting votes might only work for AT&T customers and to vote online you have to register. Voting begins at 8pm EST, 5pm PST. You can vote as much as you'd like.

I used to watch this show, and this is NOT the first time someone who couldn't dance as well as the other finalists went to the final three(Marie Osmond etc). The only difference: this time she is a Republican's daughter. It is amazing how hateful people are just because her mother has an R on the end of her name.- people (liberals heads explode). And you are exactly right almost all of my favorite shows have had "liberal" views stuck in the subtle sometimes; sometimes not. Heck Sons of Anarchy had someone getting an abortion use Sarah Palin as her medical alias, and the Law and Order franchise was completely ruined by left wing politics.

Does anyone here watch the show? How does the voting normally work. I've never seen it, but I'm getting real pissed.
Could you imagine what would happen if this was Chelsea Clinton, or Sasha and Mahlia(i have no idea how to spell her name) Obama?
We'd be hearing about the violent nature of conservatives, the dangerous discourse in america, the hatred on the right.
It is unbelievable to me that the left, or more specifically individuals on the left, can do this to the daughter of a politician and it not be a bigger deal. I understand that by going on the show Bristol is opening herself up to criticism and everything, but death threats? Anthrax hoaxes?
It's remarkable to me, and if i can help further anger the people doing this, I'm in, even at 10 cents a text.

"My first bite of meat after 3.5 years of veganism was both the hardest and easiest thing IÂ’ve ever done. Tears ran down my face as saliva pooled in my mouth. The world receded to a blank nothingness and I just ate, and ate, and ate. I cried in grief and anger, while moaning with pleasure and joy. When I took the last bite I set back and waited to feel sick. I had just devoured a hunk of dead animal, the most evil thing I could conceive of, surely my body would reject this debasement and I would feel vindicated that I truly was meant to be a vegan."

Dancing With the Stars is no longer a TV show. Dancing With the Stars is now the last, best hope for human freedom on Earth.
You can either cast a vote of confidence for Bristol Palin's televised gyrations right now, and God knows I just did, or you can condemn the next generation to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness.

How many of you wanted to shoot the TV when the lefties turned "24" into a lovefest for the poooooor muzzies, and brought on Janeane Garbuffalo to boot
that's my point!!!
There are two shows on TV I like that remained untarnished by politics; Dexter and Mad Men.
Everything else I liked was turned to shit by politics.
This is our chance for revenge.

That's actually not a Howard Stern thing. The website existed well before he came along and helped them with encouraging people to vote for that Sanjaya kid. I'm ashamed to say that I watched that season. It also included another absolutely shitty singer, except she supposedly had a bunch of amateur porno photos of her, and she was decent enough to check them out and determine if they were actually her.

1) Get over yourself. You're a neurotic, narcissistic woman.
2) Drop the feminist schtick- the patriarchy! the patriarchy! Fuck you. Go to a bar on a Friday night and observe who really calls the shots
3) Animals taste good. Get over it.
4) Veganism is as unnatural as can be. Our metabolism craves meat. The amino acids, protein, and vitamins and minerals that meat provides can not be obtained on a diet of twigs and nuts. Granted, most of us eat too much meat, but...we need it

I am a regular viewer of DWTS, and Dirty Dancing was one of my favorite movies back in the day, so I started the season rooting for Jennifer Grey. However just a few weeks in I began to tire of her constant complaining and over-the-top-drama regarding her physical problems (laying on the floor while receiving the judges criticism because she had just given her all, that was the beginning of the end of my support of her). Now, I really can't stand her. Hope this doesn't ruin the DD movie for me if I ever watch it again.
Voted tonight for the first time ever, for Bristol (2 phones = 10 votes). Doing my part to explode lib heads.
Using multiple phone numbers and email addresses to vote, and using each method to vote multiple times for the same person is allowed. It's not cheating as you will hear the lefties allege; we have no unfair advantage.

Jeebus H. Crisco, people...all y'all are dissing the libs for "attacking" the Palin child and stacking the deck against her, and at the same time are making a political issue out of it yourselves.
If the lefties don't keep making victims out of the Public Palins, you'll do it for them.
It's lose-lose, all the way.
Either Sarah Palin has to get her ass in gear and do what it takes to earn a presidential nomination -- and that doesn't mean carrying on with Hannity's worshipful face-sucking and Facebook posts, but some real achievements that can be quantified without dispute -- or accept a position as a kind of Shuckabee-with-boobs working the fringes of political life.
As it stands right now, when Palin's fanboyz come down from their binge of unquestioning worship and start being rational about their love-object, they'll be pretty sad folks....

it's up to the right-wing conspiracy to make her one of the final two.
And Hillary had no idea just how vast the conspiracy would become with the advent of the internet. Guess she only has her buddy Algore to thank for that.

Most of their links are short enough to not need it. Youtube links are probably close to the limit for length of the link if you embed it in the text. I don't know about a direct paste into the coments though.
For example see how I don't need tinyurl for this youtube link.
Top Shelf Thinking. Huzzah!

Jeebus H. Crisco, people...all y'all are dissing the libs for "attacking" the Palin child and stacking the deck against her, and at the same time are making a political issue out of it yourselves.

We couldn't agree more! That's how we win, really. Be more like General Powell, and less like Sarah Palin. First you have to run and lose a major election, after a life of public service. Then you denigrate someone the base is in love with. Then.... PROFIT!
I mean, then you get to do commercials for Samsonite!

Ha! I'm not a boy but I will say this, after seeing the brutalization that has been handed out to the Palins from both the left and the right, and the inner character that they've all displayed in dealing with it--- you'd have an effin hard time finding someone stronger to compete.
Find me a man that strong, fuck, HALF that strong will be better than what we have now in Cottage Cheese Sock Land of Limp Dick Cowards and Vapid My Turners and I'll vote for him, until then I'll stick with Palin.

We all went to the right schools, so you can trust us.
Sarah The Quittertm will never stand up to the storm of criticism coming her way.
(What? Hush it down, willya? Whattaya mean she's already stood up to everything they've got? Look, I'm trying to make a point here!)

Shut up, you fucking gonif. You stole thousands of dollars from me by convincing my wife she was some sort of dancing prodigy. It wasn't until we went to a dance competition that we found out that every woman got the same rap.

the left have worked for decades to control popculture. It's cool to be a socialist. what happens to their future voters if conservatives are also seen as "cool"
the bluebloods in the gop never understood about the importance of popculture. infact the ceded the battleground to the laft many many years ago.

5 from my cell phone
5 from each kids' phone - since they're different
5 from my fax phone
5 from the hubbie's phone
and I've never watched the show before tonight.
35 votes from me alone and I used to live in Chicago so I'm voting early, often, and if my mom's phone was still activated (she's passed on) I would have voted in her stead.
idiots.
why does everything have to become a statement? even my football is becoming a statement. I used to be able to watch a neutral weather channel - showed nice graphics from GOES with satellite images, projections for the next 5 days, the moon's phase, sunrise/sunset times with better than average music in the background. Got a lot of work done with just that on the tv. Then came the commentators and as they droned on over and over and said the same stuff, it was still ok UNTIL - NBC took the damn thing over and bought out the guy who started the station and made it into Eco-mindnumbing stories like "when weather changed history" - who the fuck cares? That's for the history channel. Just give me my 5 day forecast (that's never right anyways) and some nice satellite images.
Even the guy started it and then sold it to NBC said its ruined as a channel. Sir, I would say to you that you got your money and we got shafted. Go get another cable channel and start over with what made you great. We will follow and this time don't sell out!

As to the official from Vermont, that is a town in Wisconsin. We have enough left wingers and nut jobs in Vermont already without adding another one to the roster.
