— Ace Jim Geraghty was tasked by his editors to figure out how many Democratic seats were vulnerable this year.
Over ninety, which he rounds up to 99.
Once you add up the upcoming special elections, the open-seat races, and the races where there’s some indicator of trouble for a Democratic opponent — a particularly strong challenger, favorable district demographics, surprising fundraising numbers, a particularly weak Democratic incumbent, or a combination of these factors — you come up with more than 90 House races. If the GOP wins only half the seats listed below, they win back the House.

Let's hope the GOP is competent enough not to screw this up completely. See the upcoming British election for details.

99 complete boobs might be losing their seats. Good enough for you?

Hmm, 99 seats...I like!
Ninety-nine red balloons
Floating in the summer sky
Panic bells, it's red alert
There's something here from somewhere else
The war machine springs to life
Opens up one eager eye
Focusing it on the sky
As ninety-nine red balloons go by
Ninety-nine decisions treat
Ninety-nine ministers meet
To worry, worry, super scurry
Call out the troops now in a hurry
This is what we've waited for
This is it, boys, this is war
The President is on the line
As ninety-nine red balloons go by

Fortunately, we don't have a parliamentary system. That's what's going to screw everything up for them on Thursday.

Yeah, especially when she's trashing Sarah Palin. Glad I don't watch network TV.

CoolCzech! Haven't seen you around much lately, how are you doing?
I skimmed the article but didn't see any Washington State seats listed, did I miss them?

The class of 2010 had better understand the stakes. No hand holding, no kumbaya, no camaraderie.
If the Republicans are given back Congress, especially if they take both Houses, they have been given the charge to stop Obamacare and the rest of Obama's National Socialist program.

Now if the GOP can manage not to blow it for conservatives. This is the only place where I see an impediment to reaching the pinnacle of electoral success.

Frau Brunner in Ohio is getting her ass kicked but good. I think she expected the majority of Democratic voters wouldn't hold it against her that she openly commited voter fraud in 2008.
Now for the big question. Was Brunner born a female or did she have an operation to become one. That is one butt ugly person

I'm in a safe GOP district in California (Visalia and foothill communities). And there's another one nearby based in Clovis. Same sentiment... I am focusing on throwing out Jim "Cost-us" Costa.

Geraghty wrote: "If the GOP wins only half the seats listed below, they win back the House." There's an unspoken assumption there.
If the GOP wins only half of the listed seats and successfully defends all of their own, they win back the House. Why is everybody assuming that current-R seats are safe?
Posted by: wolfwalker at May 05, 2010 02:30 AM (aijDA)
wolfwalker, think for a moment.
Those seats which are R now, are seats which were won in 2008 and, I assume, 2006 before then. These will be difficult seats for anyone D to win in any year. Winning them for D means hard workers and lots of cash, and vulnerable D congresspeople who are already seated are going to claim dibs on all that.
