— Purple Avenger A poll of sorts -- where people voice their opinion with real money. This is a decline the Democrats need to hide.
It seems to me that the price for a Republican takeover is still pretty cheap. This may be a bunch of euro-tards who still have Obama hangovers betting who aren't quite as keyed in on public sentiment here across the pond.

I don't think the GOP is in control anymore; conservatives are, one center of influence of which is the GOP, stricto senso

I heard a funny word on the radio...Ameri-peans.
An Ameripean is an American who envies the European lifestyle, culture, and government of Western European countries more than the United States.

The hot tip on the street is to start betting on arms manufacturers.
Hey Blazer. I heard a report on NPR awhile back (I know, what was I thinking) about the spike in ammo sales. I'll let you guess the spin they put on it.

Why don't they use the old-fashioned word ex-patriate to describe themselves and get the hell out already?

That leaves open the door to the GOP nominating someone that truly pisses off the conservatives and the moderates. I don't know who that could be, but I bet they could find him! Christopher Buckley for president perhaps?

Or are we just doing the same things over and over again while expecting different results?

I've got it covered. Trust me.

There is little need for an armed coup by the people. The leftist "teabagggers" are doing all they can to smear the right and are making little headway.
The Dems are leading themselves into a wilderness from which they will not emerge for a long time. Good people willing.
If that doesn't happen, then the the rightwing solution to bending the cost curve on medical care willl be; Take No Prisoners.

Those NPR types would have the same sentiments about the people in the first American Revolution, I suspect. "Typical Teabaggers".

The Louisville Gazette (Georgia), Feb. 5, 1799, pg. 4:
Boston, December 28American Naval Success
A letter has been received from capt. Seward, of the armed ship Camillus, of this port, belonging to Mr. Eben Parson, informing, that on his outward passage he was attacked by two French privateers, which, after an action he beat off -- and rescued from them a Portuguese vessel, which they had taken. His men stood to their guns with perfect resolution, and exercised them in the most active manner. This is another proof of the expediency of arming. Several benefits result from the issue of this engagement, which all honest Americans must exult in. A valuable ship, cargo, and a number of brave fellows are preserved to their country -- and piracy disappointed of its prey.

This guy told me that he is exactly the same age as Obama. He was young in the sixties, an eight-year-old boy. His high school voted for a black prom king and an unwed pregnant white girl as a joke. "But the black kid was popular, and we did it with great affection. The memory makes me happy to this day."
He said we will probably never have another black President again. There is already a great romanticism with the Obama administration. I don't think the people who voted for him cared what he did; they wanted Americans to give Obama whatever he wanted. When we wouldn't, we were uptight and uncool. They need to feel superior and avant garde and special and cool.
These people don't mix with other groups or even leave their neighborhood. When they travel, they are still insulated. They have the most absurd ideas about who the opposition is. I don't think they care who the President will be in 2012. They have really low expectations, after all, and I think they'll stay home. Republicans need a candidate who motivates their base. Obama is finished, though.

I guess that rubbing one out after a naval skirmish is ok.....
