— Dave in Texas Pulled from the sidebar, John F'n Kerry, who served in Vietnam in case you hadn't heard that, suggests the problem with the Democrat message this mid term is that the voters are disconnected, not paying attention.
Stupid rubes.
Here's a counter argument, Senator Scary-Smart. Let's stipulate the message is full of awesomeness.
Perhaps you're just too stupid to sell it?
If it's so wonderful, so goddamn great, if Obamacare is the greatest thing ever if only you would pass it so we could see what's in it, why is it so friggin difficult for you to convince us how wonderful it is? I mean, come on. You and your cohorts aren't even trying. Suddenly the "third rail" of American politics is this crappy power grab dressed up as healthcare.
Why won't your candidates even talk about it? This is vexing Bill Maher, he thinks your strategy is so wrong. (I think I got this from a Breitbart twitter post, but I can't recall, so sorry for sloppy attribution).
Why won't they stump on this amazing accomplishment?
Oh, because we're stupid? We can't understand how employers are hesitant to make long term commitments (and therefore not hiring.. hey, remember jobs? Big deal, jobs. Very important, yo), or that our plans just went up 30% or more, the most we've ever seen in decades? We don't get that?
Ok, got it.
Thanks.
Also DIAF.

Can anyone remember a time in their life when the populace was this wide awake to what was going on with our governmnent? I actually think that Kerry and his ilk believe what he's saying. Otherwise they have to admit that the public doesn't agree with their statist ideology.

Hey, horseface? The only reason you got anywhere in this world is because the people of MA were NOT paying attention.
For the first time in years, the majority ARE finally paying attention. And, surprises of surprises, your party's platform is now being exposed for the incredibly un-American and idiotic ideology it is.

They had to be brought kicking and screaming to this point, but between Obama's Depression, Hellcare, and pure theft of over a trillion dollars from the treasury you Democrats have done what I thought was impossible.
Good job, John F'n Kerry.

Keep in mind that for the last two elections cycles the Democrats have campaigned on the following points;
We are deficit hawks.
We will cut everyone's taxes unless you are rich.
We are moderates, arguably the real conservatives.
We have a plan to fix the economy! Vote for Stimulus and unemployment will stay under 8%!
Which was a bunch of hooey obviously...but the voters bought it and gave you Democrats a majority. And you've made your lies and your overreach so obvious there is no way that people can't notice.

The chemical dubbed "the hormone of love" Oxytocin is known to increase empathy and bonding – especially parents and their children. [necessary Rx?!] Oxytocin did improve powers of empathy and improves the social skills of the shy– but only among those who were less socially proficient in the first place.
Before you know it, Oxytocin will be used by most people along with beta blockers to provide what is promised to be successful social skills performed under the duress of the rat race called life.

Its never actually "their fault" to them. Its always that their ideas were good they just didn't have good spokesmen. Or their ideas were good and they were distorted. Or their ideas were good and the public is just too stupid.
Well they've got a president now who according to them is supposed to be the greatest speaker ever in the history of the world. You've got your awesome landmark legislation that you've spent the better part of 2 decades hoping to get passed, and not a single member up for re-election is even trying to promote their vote for it and say why its good for people. And if we're all so stupid why the fuck aren't you super smart Ivy Leaguers completely unable to sucker us into believing that you're doing a good job?

We are the chumps. We are the chumps that believe that appeasement is a substitute for defense. We are the chumps who believe that, while a for a family to attempt to spend its way out of poverty is idiocy, it is sound policy for a nation to do so. We are the chumps that believe that by turning the health care system over to the Federal Government we will simultaneously cut costs and improve quality. We are the chumps that believe that they way to ensure that African American children close the education gap with their white peers is to make sure that they are denied school choice and access to charter schools. We are the chumps who believe that if we smash the existing energy industry we will all get high paying government jobs as wind-mill oilers or solar cell squeegee boys. We are the chumps that believe that we can alleviate poverty by raising the minimum wage. We are the chumps who appreciate being forced to buy dangerous little lawnmower-cars by people who fly around in corporate jets to give speeches about our excessive use of energy.
We are a nation of chumps. Us chumps elected socialist Democrats in both houses of Congress and the White House. Us chumps(and our grand children) bought a multi-trillion dollar ticket to the most expensive three ring circus ever imagined. We chumps may have destroyed the most free and the most prosperous society in the history of mankind. At least we will ave earned a place in the history books.

U.S. President Barack Obama and his administration weakened the country’s economy by seeking to foster growth instead of paying down the federal debt, said Nassim Nicholas Taleb, author of “The Black Swan.”
“Obama did exactly the opposite of what should have been done,” Taleb said yesterday in Montreal in a speech as part of Canada’s Salon Speakers series. “He surrounded himself with people who exacerbated the problem. You have a person who has cancer and instead of removing the cancer, you give him tranquilizers. When you give tranquilizers to a cancer patient, they feel better but the cancer gets worse.”
Today, Taleb said, “total debt is higher than it was in 2008 and unemployment is worse.”

I believe we should create a "bait car" with West stickers, and stand by to kick some ass if the liberal dweebs fuck it up. The only drawback? So Fanino might be a conservative dem but this lynn white is definitely a lib/dem as she is having a lovely time slamming the TEA party, the republicans and Palladino, in particular. She loved slamming palladino
Well she came right out of her closet. She stridently asked "how is he taking over? excuse me, how is he taking over? The incredulous guest said "you've never heard of obamacare? And she said "if it had a public option that would be taking over". Ok, she's full blown socialist...she wants single payor...
Poor tony fanino....was he set up....to be paird with this obamabot biotch when he thought he would be sharing the co hosting with a reasonable person not someone who came on the show to tout BO and how great he is and how we are moving forward...
Oh she just said "we are moving forward.....we are making progress, but that's just little old me, little old liberal me"....
Well, firing off an email to batchelor. The last thing I wanted to hear tonight while working was a whiny, obnoxious, strident, nasty BO apologist...ugh...

He's so much worse than you can even imagine.
The brief few weeks I spent as a colleague of his in the Senate, convinced me that I was more than capable to become President of the United States and that it was my duty to do so.
Why the hell do you people think that I bow to any random Florida mayor (or the international equivalent, I dunno Tampa, Tokyo all the same to me) at every turn?
You have no idea the damage that John Kerry has done, as a Senator, to our international image...

what about on the issues, a not personal and not social issues?
Palladino apparently put all his stuff out on the internet and in interviews ahead of time...so I guess the dems will bring it out....he's quite the character, if he were a dem it might not be even a subject but since he's a republican they will make the "but republicans are all about family values, so this means he's a hypocrite argument"...
I'm so sick of the double standard. I want the republicans to say "why do you accept all this bad behavior from your politicians, does that mean you are anti family values?"

People are hoarding light bulbs and they are actually talking out loud in places like home depot wondering what people decided this cause it wasn't them. I wonder why they suddenly decided to essentially outlaw regular bulbs? That is such an assault on capitalism. And I bet if someone decided to try and open a light bulb factory somewhere in America, they would face a lot of crap, that is not capitalism, that is total government control.

I don't know what you are asking. A lot of the members of the committee didn't show up. I think zoe blindsided conyers and he thinks she
made him look like a fool. I heard zoe described on the radio as "someone whose hubby bought her seat". Now for a host to say that on the radio without compunction and not a conservative host, some must be pissed. But, she accomplished what she set out to do and that was to help bury the DOJ hearing. Heard a discussion of this on batchelor and it was wholly lame. If the two hosts are that stupid as to not know why colbert was there and what purpose he served then batchelor was not served well tonight and maybe he will just leave recordings of old shows the next time he goes on vacation.

Happy accident for the DOJ, she did it all on her own!

I hear you but it seems as though it will go away.
Funny, when stuff starts to hit you close to home then you ask questions. All of a sudden we have new voting machines and lot of cameras everywhere (ostensibly to catch people and give them tickets) and now cameras in the subway. All of a sudden my friends are asking one another "did you know they were putting up all these cameras at the intersections and in the subway?" cause they didn't know. The media didn't cover it until it was already there. No one even knew it was even a possibility. So, they are thinking how much money did this all cost? They are thinking they pay the highest taxes in the country and some are penalized for being single and they are thinking this is a recession, why did they spend this money. all good questions with no answers. But, in the end they say "well I guess the city will be safer" cause they rationalize not being told. sort of like your boyfriend goes to meet his x girlfriend for lunch and you find out cause in this huge city someone who know you and knows him manged to see them. So then, then he tells you and says "well, it was nothing and I knew you would be upset so I didn't bother to tell you". Now, the normal reaction is anger but if you think "oh, he's thinking of me, he's probably right I was better off not knowing" then you are deluding yourself and that is where my friends end up going....the acceptance cause it is for our own good route. I've been wondering lately if that's good or bad.

Several years ago I had the misfortune of sitting next to an old, drunk leftist prattling the "hope-change" mantra and other party slogans. After engaging me in conversation and I winning each arguement, he stated that I "simply didn't understand." I told him I was all ears and promise not to interrupt-- proceed to explain it to me. His reply after his lower jaw hanging ajar for several seconds. "Your stupid." I assured him I wasn't and have enough state certifications to back it up, but he didn't seem to interested in continuing the convesation at that point.
