— CAC With the Smithsonian subversives in the news, I bring you an oldie-but-goodie from Duchamp, who makes the modern mischief-makers look like bedwetting pantspoopers.
For generations, many tried to figure out why the lady in da Vinci's Mona Lisa has that unforgettable smile.
Marcel gave us a very moronesque answer to open tonight's thread:

L.H.O.O.Q. Marcel Duchamp, 1919.
Subversion done with a wink and a nod is timeless.
Subversion done with dung and disgust is a dust trap.
Now onto this weeks' moron art submissions.
Moron Sobek gets his monotheism on:
Untitled, 2009. 20" x 20". Ink on Mat Board.
SentWest submitted a digital painting:
Little Wing. 2007. 30" x 38".
Moronette KarenM sends this in:
Untitled, 2010. Acylic on Cavas. 5" x 7".
and lastly, an anonymous submission:
Red, 2009. Oil on Canvas. 60" x 40".
As always, if you wish to have your work shown here, shoot me an email HERE and be sure to include your moron handle, the title, dimensions, medium, year, and a link to more stuff if you have it.
Closing the thread to the night, I present what happens when Frank Stella has his way with a BMW:

It's more "She has a horny ass"—"hot" like "inflamed with lust." "Chaud" to mean sexy is a new thing, compared to the picture. So it's way dirtier. Because buttsex.

Back in the day, every BMW was a work of automotive art. Now, not so much.

Ain't it the truth... Only Porsche still keeps the classic look. (911) They do retool the body panels but the change is negligible. Do you still have the 635?

That's really good mileage for a 6cyl. Heck 8 more and you'd tie with the craptastic chevy volt. It's cool you still have it and don't have to put up with the crap of newer cars. I envy you...

The Germans and Swedes did tend to stick to a basic block and modify for the car it was going in. That's why I liked working on them, not a lot of change.

"Parlez vous a humma humma?"
The sad extent of French language/culture/art retained even after 2 years high school french classes.
That and "voulez vous avec moi, che something"
I blame Cheech & Chong and Lady Marmalade

Marcel Duchamp was the one true genius of 20th century art. (IMHO).
Ditto.
Literature- Samuel Beckett
Music- Thelonious Monk (Miles Davis a close second)
