"Dying" Lockerbie Bomber Could Live for 10 or 20 Years
— Gabriel Malor

There is so much hate in my heart right now.

Professor Karol Sikora, who assessed Abdelbaset Ali Mohmet al-Megrahi for the Libyan authorities almost a year ago, told The Sunday Times it was "embarrassing" the bomber had outlived his three-month prognosis.

Megrahi, 58, is the only person convicted of the 1988 bombing of a US Pan Am jumbo jet over Lockerbie, which left 270 dead.

Professor Sikora, the dean of medicine at Buckingham University and medical director of CancerPartnersUK in London, was paid for his medical assessment of Megrahi at Greenock prison on July last year.

He told the newspaper: “There was always a chance he could live for 10 years, 20 years ... But it's very unusual.

"It was clear that three months was what they were aiming for. Three months was the critical point.

"On the balance of probabilities, I felt I could sort of justify [that]."

Embarrassed. Oh, he's embarrassed. Well, then. On the balance of probabilities, I could sort of justify beating the good doctor into a pulp. But I wouldn't do that, of course. It would be very unusual, anyway.

1 He's living longer because he's out of britain's crappy medical system. Sure 3 months life span in the uk, 20 years anywhere else.

Shame on the Scots.  And shame on the Western world for not sending al-Megrahi to meet Allah personally the second he stepped off the plane in Libya.

It is for rare occasions like this that confident countries have a mature attitude towards their espionage agencies.  It's time to go Mossad on the Bomber's ass.  He needs to die in a "mysterious" explosion, preferably while airborn himself if he still travels.

Sadly, we are no longer either confident or mature as a country.

Shortly thereafter, the presumably dying Lockerbie bomber is released by England for a huge BP oil deal with Libya - with the pre-purchased required tacit consent of newly elected President Obama. Then the BP deepwater well blows out in the Gulf, inadvertently f-cking their partner in crime, Obama, in his incompetent squeekhole. Is that irony, or freakin' just desserts?

60 Joy Behar is one of those people that entertainment producers want to put in everything.  How the hell does she keep getting work?  Rosie O'Donnell is another one.

But King has been a ratings dud for some time.  Anderson Cooper does better.  (FNC kills them all.)  Behar at HLN competes against King anyway, so this is a money-saver.  But here's the kicker: She is basically neck-and-neck with Larry now, in the demos.

I see this as vindication.  Instead of hiring some big celebrity, they're saving money and hiring from within the company.  No bloated contract, just give her a better office and a small raise.  You save the money by hiring a nobody to fill in her slot.

Before I begin let it be known that I was diagnosed and "treated" (snip) with prostate cancer and I also watched certain forebears die of this family curse, so I'm sort of an consulting expert for this story.

Of course, I knew this was bullshit when I saw Adbul's Bastard walk up the steps of that plane.  Nobody three months away from dying of prostate cancer can do this.  We're not talking about a phucking heart attack.  We're talking about a slow moving, relentless disease that takes two years to kill you once it's broken the last line of defense (ie, removing the testes)  When you're three months away from death from PC you're in bad shape -- you look like a survivor of a Japanese POW camp.  There is also no chance of reprieve three months from death.  This "he had a 50% of dying in three months or a 50% chance of living ten years" is laughable.

I smelled a rat from the beginning.  Stories about this never gave any details about when Abdul's bastard was diagnosed this disease or what treatments he received; only that one day --oops -- the poor abdul basterd was found to be at death's doorstep because of cancer.  Like phucking hell!!  Even the British National Health Service would have picked up on the problem because the murdering POS would have complained of severe urinary problems years before dying

78 "He has about a 50% chance of dying in the next three seconds or he could live ten or twenty more years .... "

If the Lockerbie bomber had a 50% chance of dying in the next three seconds, then he would have no chance, at all, of living past the next 30 seconds.  This is a simple Bernoulli trial ... but I guess muslim doctors don't know anything about probability.

The "doctor" and every despicable government official who signed off on this ridiculous release should have to serve, sevenfold, the time that the bomber lived past 3 months.  And their families should be shunned and made to feel like the pieces of shit they are.

Okay.

Does that mean I get to go to Scotland?

'Cause that would be awesome!

I can't really do anything about the government officials, as far as putting them in jail and all, but would it suffice to do my best to hang every-family member of those officials by their ankles, on a lane and let the locals do what they will?

82 The only real question here is how much QaddafiMoney™ found it's way into untraceable Swiss Bank Accounts owned by Sikora, other directors in CancerPartnersUK, and certain officials of Britain's NHS.

83 Or maybe they did it for the sheer anti-semitic  fun of it all.

I dunno.

84 Sorry, meant anti-American fun of it all.

@40, ain't karma a bitch..?? *smile*

@65, the way I heard it this assclown was the only doctor the Libyans could get to agree to the 3 month scenario.

To our Brit friends: is this 'doctor' part of your National Health Service? If so watch out, Barry'll want to hire him away for ours.

86 Apparently that camel pimp Qaddafi got some DC writers to give his terrorist stooge a Joker release plan. "Oh sorry, I'm afraid I'm going to live after all. Toodles, Bats!"

87 I notice that the article does not mention who paid the good doctor to deliver his diagnosis.

hang every-family member of those officials by their ankles, on a lane and let the locals do what they will?
Glad to see the "Mussolini" comin' back in style.

Ahh, those 1900's dictator piniata's...man I long for the golden age of blood thirsty masses!

"It was clear that three months was what they were aiming for. Three months was the critical point.

"On the balance of probabilities, I felt I could sort of justify [that]."

Sounds like an objectively-arrived at, non-biased opinion to me.  Apparently Professor Sikora received his medical training at East Anglia U.

If he deservedly gets blackballed in medicine, perhaps he'd like to work for the IPCC and discuss the life-expectancy of ice caps and polar bears ?

91 Everyone who agreed to the release should be offered a pistol with a single bullet.

I'm reevaluating my diagnosis.

I'm afraid this guy might be carrying some dangerous disease. We need to send a cople of SAS operators to pick him up and collect some blood samples. A couple of gallons ought to do it.

We don't want him infecting anyone else, after all.

93 Regarding where the Lockerbie bomber lives: I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Linky repair: Lest we forget, Obama knew about BPÂ’s sordid Lockerbie deal with Kaddafi... and did nothing.
