I am concerned that there was no option specifically stating that there is no wave. I vote for "no wave". And I am very concerned.

And the Slartibartfast poll of vertibrates has all of the 'bagger candidates down by 114%, so you may as well just stay home next Tuesday.

5 My prediction: everyone will be disappointed with what the Republicans do once they're in office, and then will line up in 2012 to vote for them again.

No one's really talking about statehouse elections.

and oh so very, very important for redistricting purposes!

Hmmm. I did submit my response, but didn't get the totals.

40 Patrick Ishmael, my Representative is an incumbent who is running for governor.  No option for that.

Posted by: rdbrewer at October 28, 2010 12:12 PM (zSR/t)

41 Hey Gina- I Rsvp'd for your phone-banking event for Schweikert, thanks for organizing that! See you this weekend!

Posted by: Lilikoi at October 28, 2010 12:13 PM (PQPZv)

42 OK.  Now I see the results.

I don't see us getting 9 Senate seats... I think we'll get 7.  I was hoping for better on governorships, but looking at the races, I think we'll wind up with 30 total.

I picked Kucinich, Boxer, and Strickland for my upsets.

43 Here's the results page. Don't back up or resubmit.

44 Thanks, rdbrewer, I've just added "no incumbent" options to that question. Message me if you need a submission updated.

Thanks.

I'm curious about the 11% who think the House will be called at 7EST.  I don't really see Shep doing it and I fully expect denial on the other networks for hours.

Well..... I can see Greg's vote in there......

Posted by: fixerupper at October 28, 2010 12:39 PM (J5Hcw)

47 Kucinich, Bielat, and Fiorina for my upsets.

If Bileat pulls it out...... big wave starts early.

I also predicted at leat two Conressional races get into nasty recounts ala Franken.

Just to clarify.  Mine was Kucinich to lose (I'm assuming yours is too) and Boxer to lose as well.

Posted by: Y-not at October 28, 2010 12:56 PM (UcOiF)

50

I voted that 0bama will continue to use the 'slurpee' imagery simpley because 1) he's in love with it, 2) he doesn't have the intelligence to some up with another one easily, and 3) NOTHING that he has done was the cause of the wave - it is just another example of Americans acting stupidly and showing the need for adult supervision.

Yes......  my apologies for not being very clear on that.....

Kucinich Loses
Boxer Loses
Frank Loses

Posted by: fixerupper at October 28, 2010 01:12 PM (J5Hcw)

52 @51
I voted the same way, mostly because of your reason #2 - he's too stupid and unimaginative to come up with something new.

Posted by: Y-not at October 28, 2010 01:15 PM (UcOiF)

53 @52
You're fine, mostly I was just thinking I hadn't been clear.  I'm kind of having a trouble making sense this week.

Posted by: Y-not at October 28, 2010 01:33 PM (UcOiF)

54 State 51:  "All of the Above"
State 52:  "Any"
State 53:  "Confusion"
State 54:  "Huh??"
State 55:  "Of Shock"
State 56:  "Please Choose One"
State 57:  "Red"

I'm going with #57 and #51== Red States, All of the Above.

56 Hm, I can't seem to see all of the responses.  Is it a Firefox thing?  I can only see about five or so for the House and Senate upsets and no more.

Posted by: Geronimo at October 28, 2010 02:48 PM (Vt+Kg)

57 So much brain power in this thread. Libs come here, they'll explode cause we are so damn right.

Posted by: blindgoose at October 28, 2010 03:30 PM (Qa624)

58 48 I also predicted at leat two Conressional races get into nasty recounts ala Franken. Two? Boy, are you an optimist.

Posted by: rickl at October 28, 2010 03:50 PM (hZFhS)

59 My prediction was that, regardless of the outcome, we will hear calls for greater Federal control over state and local elections, possibly including national voter registration.

Posted by: rickl at October 28, 2010 03:56 PM (hZFhS)

60 Not to bust nutsacks, but who is saying 9PM or earlier? You realize it will take over an hour for even the win by 5pts races to get called? So at best, we are to expect that with fewer than 15 states really reporting in, we will know we won the House? This is the MSM. Conspiracies of bias aside, it will take until at least 10pm eastern time. This is why I love living in California. By nightfall WV,OH,NC,SC,GA,IN,VA,VT,KY will already be reporting for a bit.

Posted by: CAC at October 28, 2010 04:28 PM (Gr1V1)

61 Agreed, CAC.  I think it will be at least 10PM EST for multiple reasons.  First, it will only be 7pm on the west coast and second I think the MFM will stall as long as it can to keep from calling it a Republican victory.

Posted by: Geronimo at October 28, 2010 04:37 PM (Vt+Kg)

62 You're right. I picked 9 PM, but that's wrong for the reasons you both cited. I'm on the East Coast, and I didn't consider all that.
