Can he win? Well, he's within three points of the socialist incumbent. And the thing is, he sorta did win last time -- except his "Ruling Class Right" primary opponent, an incumbent he defeated, got vengeance by endorsing the Democrat challenger.
And even in that Obama wave year, he still only lost by two and a half thousand votes.
He's kind of being screwed over again this year, as the US Chamber of Congress is, of course, supporting his opponent. With foreign money, doubtless.
Dan Riehl explains that this is why he's in such a bloodletting mood against the establishment.
And this does seem to be a pattern, doesn't it? From write-in campaigns, to running as independents, to endorsing the Democratic challenger -- the ruling class establishment seems to be its own party with its own membership and its own interests, and official party label doesn't seem to matter that much to them.

Also, "538" has Andy Harris as the 20th Dem seat most likely to flip. Put is this way, if Harris loses this race, then the GOP likely won't win the house.
Its in the bag.

Donation enroute to Harris.
The NRA has also endorsed his opponent, and dem Herseth-Sandlin in SD.

Yes. It's hard to understand. Even Nixon knew not to be a spoilsport when Chicago handed the election to Kennedy. He was smart enough to bide his time. These people aren't, and it's stunning. They're closing-out their chances of running again someday.
Interesting the pattern is the RINO-types are the ones prone to do this. Someone was mentioning a few weeks ago (prolly Ace) that it proves they're really all about themselves. I think that was within the contet of a discussion about the Florida Orange Man.

Yeah this is upsetting but here is some good news - a video snippet of Fox News' Brett Baier show with Jonah Goldberg and Charles Krauthammer absolutely thrashing Obama and the DNC on the Chamber of Commerce smear.
Krauthammer calls it Reptillian Deperation that oozes of slime and inuendo and McCarthyism. Goldberg wonders if the prez is reading left wing blogs.

I had an interesting conversation with some relatively intelligent sorta non-political types who have a background with libs yet homeschool. Those type of people whose values are conservative but who have been mainly exposed to libs. They asked me about the tea party. I told them about Joe Biden saying that "This is not your father's republican party." Damn straight it's not. The tea party who aren't just republicans are pissed. They are pissed at the spending, at the taxes, at the waste, at the healthcare, at being treated like shit, at being lied to, at the nonsense. That's who they are.
They asked me about Christine O'Donnell. I asked them what they knew about her? They said that she said she was a witch and against masterbation. I asked them if they knew where that came from and explained both comments and about Bill Maher. I told them that the tea party wasn't racist, in fact they were far less racist than the dems, that that was the liberal media trying to create an image. It has no leadership, it's the pissed off population who have had enough. That O'Donnell was about getting rid of Castle who voted with Pelosi. That Miller is great but he was also about getting rid of Mucowsky who voted with Pelosi. These "tea party" candidates were about getting rid of the bullshit. They seemed to get it. I don't know but I did my best while trying to sound reasonable and not using words like libdouche.

He does. You can tell. He says stuff that he reads there. He is formed by them. It's one of the main reasons, or maybe just another reason he sounds like such a tool. It's why he is so surprised when most people don't want a ground 0 mosque--but they do on the lib blog! He is that world. He is of Kos.

Palladino needs to pay google to be the very first palladino who comes up on google.
Also, people are starting to think that Palladino has just given up, that he was "the scapegoat in the race to make sure that Cuomo gets elected, like John McShame for BO"....honest to God, this was said to me by more than one person today, I almost got paranoid about it. Where are the freakin palladino commercials....there are some people who judge elections by commericals!!

Jeez, nobody tells the damn truth anymore.

It's damn near impossible to swing people from one side to another. It's often just best to stick to Dennis Prager's advice when speaking to friends, colleages, etc.: "Clarity over agreement."
The best you can do is to ask questions about their opinions and simply restate the principles of conservatism back. Calling out people for their sloppy mental processes by which they arrive at their opinions rarely works, even less for bleeding hearts.
Great Bill Whittle vid essay on that sort of thing. .

They borrow money to buy votes and we get stuck with the bill. Insider trading is OK for Congress, but the rest of us better watch out.
Politicians are like underwear. They get dirty fast and should be changed often, before they stink too bad.

It's especially disgusting in light of the ruling class incumbents calls for party unity after the primaries, which they expected to win. If Moocowski and some of the other turds had taken defeat gracefully and backed the winners like honourable people of their word, there wouldn't be any of this hostility.
The mask is off; they act like leftist Democrats when they lose. They talk about "outside money", cabals against them, that the people were fooled, which is the ultimate tell of the authoritarian: you are too stupid to decide for yourself, so you need me here to do your thinking for you.

to April 28, 2009.
This is the day Arlen Specter thought it was a great idea to switch from being a Republican to a Democrat to ensure his chances of reelection.
This decision ranks very high in Most Stupidest Political Decisions in History.

Yes, the real story here is the endorsements of the enemy by the so-called friendlies. The "Ruling Class Right" is stabbing us in the back. I've always been a Conservative but I never cared for the Republican Party because of the RINO tendencies. These shits do nothing but feather their own nests. The NRA and the Chamber of Commerce and other groups are screwing us. I knew the C of C was done for when they hired Tom Donohue as president. He was the long time president of the Amarican Trucking Associations. He was a Benedict Arnold there and he hasn't changed his stripes.
