Though I suddenly have a desire to see a shot-by-shot remake of John Carpenter's Thing using Lego.

The company won't make naval ships or tanks because they don't believe children should engage in war play.

I don't think that's entirely true any more. They make plenty of war toys, just no "modern" ones that aren't associated with a licensed property. (See Indiana Jones.)

I made a Lego "snatch" when I was 9 years old, but it wasn't a violent video game.
It did hurt so much to use it that I ended up switching to girls when I was 25.

The tragedy was that in 1940, France deployed a crack battalion of boulangers to stand up against the Wehrmacht's Blitzkrieg. Only afterward did they realize that the baguette is not as formidable an anti-tank weapon as it is a play sword.

"IÂ’ve been having a bit of fun on Twitter mocking this whole No Labels thing. For instance:
“Pupils formerly known as bullies celebrate label-liberation as they beat pupils formerly known as nerds into bloody stumps.”
“Animal formerly known as ‘cat’ still refuses to fetch, even though liberated from the ‘cat’ label.”
And after the Virginia court decision:
“Fear not liberals, ‘unconstitutional’ is only a label.”
And so on. But I would hate for my jocularity to mislead people. IÂ’m deadly serious about how stupid and pernicious I think this whole thing is."

The fundamental difference between men and women:
While making love, if part of the ceiling caves in and a falling joist tears a man's arm off at the shoulder, he won't skip a beat and will simply say, "Honey, just stick your finger in that severed artery for a minute more... maybe two...."
If, instead of the ceiling caving in, a mosquito should bite her on the leg, she will yell, "Stop! Stop! I can't anymore -- how do you expect me to stay in the mood when I'm being EATEN ALIVE?!?"

Not from mosquitoes.
Which reminds me of a joke:
A horny mouse comes to an African watering hole one evening and propositions all of the female animals. Of course, none of them being as small as the mouse, each either ignores him or tries to stomp him. That is, until he reaches the elephant, who says, "Sure, whatever. Don't mind if I keep drinking, do you?"
The mouse scurries up her hind leg and reaches his goal. As he's vigorously enjoying himself, a mosquito lands on the tip of the elephant's trunk and bites. She rears up and bellows in pain.
"That's right," shouts the mouse, "take it all, bitch!"

One of the difficulties of these "matches of perfection" is that each partner knows that the other can, in fact, do as well or better, so there's always a little nagging doubt. If you're just a shade or two below Scarlett's hotness, Ryan will always know that no one as hot or hotter than him will try to steal you. Then al you have to do is fulfill his every twisted desire, so that he's never tempted to find someone more exotic.

I gave up on Legos at about age six because you couldn't make 15, 30 and 45 degree angles with them. Same with Lincoln Logs. They both sucked.
There was one 3-D right angle toy that was pretty cool (I forget its name -- erector set, maybe?) that replicated skyscraper construction. It even had tiny battery powered winches and other neat stuff.
My biggest brother had one and would beat the snot out of me if he caught me even touching it. But it was way cooler than Legos.

Actually I don't care where she's looking, I'm just pissed at Warner Bros. shitty idea to make the GL costume full CG so it looks cartoonish the whole time.

The toy in the 90's was K-Nex I believe. The pieces were capable of multiple angles. No battery power (that I remember) though they did have rubberbands so you could build a working Ferris wheel and a few other things like that.

I think it was an Erector Set -- it had gray plastic I beams that snapped into each other and a gray plastic tray for the foundation. It was called City Builder or something like that. That was circa 1966. The older ones were made of stamped metal and are big collector items now.
They beat the hell out of Legos.
Besides -- Lego pieces fit through a toilet paper tube so they're a choking hazard and only a negligent parent would buy them for her/his kids.

Eh, I'd still rather get it out of the way early. My mother always waited until the week before to go shopping, and didn't wrap the presents until 11:59 Christmas eve.
And I've had too many things I've ordered online get screwed up, or be the wrong item, or not exactly what I expected to let it go that long.
