We should have a post on the testy Quicker-Fucker-Upper and his fail of a trip overseas.

He is certainly a pissy little one these days!

snippet--

When I asked him what was the "number one complaint, concern, or piece of advice that you got from foreign leaders about the U.S. economy and your stewardship of the economy?" he snapped back: "What about compliments? You didn't put that in the list."

Sheryl Stolberg of The New York Times asked him if his relations with other foreign leaders were a bit rocky now compared with previous summits when they "maybe were just a teensy bit falling all over you when you first arrived on the world stage."

The President didn't take kindly to that, either, sharply (some would say angrily) responding: "That's not how I remember it. I remember our first G20, you guys writing the exact same stories you're writing now about the exact same issues. Don't you remember that, Sheryl?"

Leftists call us on the right "fascists", but at its core, there really isn't anything that fascists do that liberals would disagree with.  To paraphrase Christopher Hitchens, Hitler was everything the liberals consider ideal - he was a teetotaler, a vegetarian, and a non-smoker.

Mr. Malor,

Good luck on the radio show.  Here are three talking points, followed by three links to useful resources on the issue of Sharia versus the Constitution:  It appears one must post very short posts for it to be accepted.  Apologies therefore for the comments presented in sequence:

1. "The legal answer follows common sense and logic: The law holds that while we Americans are committed to religious freedom, we do not abide those who make human sacrifices, smoke peyote or engage in polygamy in the name of religion. A secular law that applies across the board and furthers an important state interest does not become unconstitutional simply because someone claims “my religion made me do it.”  Religion must bend, not public safety."

2nd & 3rd talking points:

2. "The legal question, though, comes down to whether shariah is a known body of laws (corpus juris) – as opposed to simply a religious dogma?  If the former, its insinuation into our nation, whose Constitution is explicitly “the supreme law of the land, is inherently problematic.

That is especially true if the alternative foreign laws violate the public policy of the United States or its states like Oklahoma.  For example, does shariah call for meting out death to apostates or homosexuals?  Does it treat women as inferior to men?  Does it preclude freedom of expression and religion and impose cruel and unusual punishments?"

3. "The Oklahoma amendment would benefit from further refinement (preferably, along the lines of the Public Policy Alliance’s draft uniform act, “American Laws for American Courts,” enacted earlier this year in Louisiana and Tennessee)"

106 Last week voters in Oklahoma passed three "state questions."  Now two lawsuits have been filed, and a third promised, seeking to overturn the overwhelming approval.

The question Gabe posted about would have prohibited state courts from considering international law--specifically including Sharia (Islamic) law--in cases before them.

It passed by 75-25.

The day after it passed, CAIR filed suit to have the measure nullified.

The second question specified that the official language of the state would be English, and that the state could not be sued for failing to conduct official business in any other language. In other words, the state couldn't be forced to print ballots or applications in Spanish or Laotian or Hmong or whatever.

Now a law professor has filed suit to overturn this result as well.

The grounds for this suit are...imaginative: He claims the measure would infringe on the free-speech rights of state employees by barring them from speaking a foreign language!

Yeah, I can't believe it either. And I haven't read the actual suit; this comes from the local paper, so I take it with a grain of salt.

The third state question said that everyone wanting to vote must show identification.

Like the other two, this logical, reasonable measure to reduce vote fraud passed by almost 75-25.

And now the same prof who sued to overturn the second question says he plans to file suit to overturn this question as well.

And I suspect a few of our Dem legislators will whine that we shouldn't spend precious state funds to defend these questions, since that could be a long and costly process.

"Use the ballot box," they say.  "Ballots, not bullets."  "Government of the people, by the people, for the people."  But not if some judge says no.

109 ATTENTION GABE: You might want to cite this story just out today from Canada about Moslems wanting to separate themselves from society to help achieve their goals in destroying it. It also includes a stupidity about how Mennonites want to separate themselves from mainstream society too, so the Moslems are just like them!

Speaking of Islamic law, Adm. Mike Mullen thinks we can prevent jihad by teaching more Muslims to read the Quran.  Oh, and poverty causes terror.  Bin Laden could not be reached for comment.

Really.  The freaking Chairman of the Joint Chiefs.

How many martyrdom videotapes showing wannabe jihadis liberally quoting the Quran disproves his point?

PC kills.  Over and over.

Actually, don't expect too many future posts from Gabe. The gubmint agents probably used GIS to track his phone during the conversation. I suspect that right now he is in a navy blue Yukon with tinted windows, headed for a "debriefing", then on to a re-education camp in parts unknown.
