— Slublog Conservatives are having great fun making fun of President Obama after he surrendered the podium to former President Bill Clinton.
All of this wingnutty snark just fills me with heart-ache.
Have a little compassion, folks.
Sometimes, a guy just needs a little help.

I hereby denounce myself.

Anyone besides me getting the feeling that ObowMao just isn't digging this presidenting thing? Other than the parties, junkets and swag, he's not really enjoying himself. For the first time in his adult life, he's having to work a real job! Heh!
I know he has an enormous ego, but he is also a petulant, narcissistic man-child. He just isn't getting the adulation and positive strokes he's received his whole life. I am thinking he may have one of those "I need to spend more time with my family moments" and not run again in 2012. (Or at least I'm hoping he does!)

I agree with your basic premise, but I don't think he's going to bail before the '12 election.
He knows damn well that even those who groveled before him and gave him tongue-baths in '08 will drop him like a used Kleenex once he leaves the White House. Even Silent Cal Coolidge was more revered after his presidency than the Mohammedan Mouthpiece will be.
He wants to put it off for as long as he can. To him, a stiff drink of hemlock would be kinder than obscurity.
Besides, he has not yet completed his mission of revenge on the country he hates -- you know, the one that gave him everything and asked nothing in return -- and he still has plenty of co-conspirators to help him with that.

Well here's the latest poll from McClatchey (ripped off from Hotair):
The poll was taken from Dec. 2 through Wednesday, as the president proposed a two-year freeze on federal civilian workers’ pay and cut a deal with congressional Republicans to extend expiring tax cuts — even those for the wealthy, which he’d opposed.
Overall, just 42 percent of registered voters approve of how heÂ’s doing his job, while 50 percent disapprove.
ObamaÂ’s standing among Democrats dropped from a month ago, with his approval rating falling to 74 percent from 83 percent, and his disapproval rating almost doubling, from 11 percent to 21 percent.
Among liberals, his approval rating dropped from 78 percent to 69 percent and his disapproval rating jumped from 14 percent to 22 percent.
I can't wait to see what his numbers are after this appalling abdication of responsibility at a freaking press conference! Doesn't the WH determine what time the Presser goes? You know how we've been told that Obama is going to focus "laser like" on the economy? Looks like someone turned off the beam.
Oh, and also the media keeps drilling into us how Obama saved us from the worst economy since Teh Great Depression. Although, perhaps his departure saved Barry from Teh Great Depression that Moochelle's fist would have left in the side of his face.

I wonder what was cropped out of that photo of Obama on the bicycle. It looks like he is pulling a trailer or something behind him.
I was wondering about that too. It looks to me like a "kid crank"--an attachment you put on an adult bike so a little kid can ride with you too. They get to peddle and share the experience. It's actually a great solution for older kids and more versatile than a tandem.

I cannot believe that Barry is soliciting advice from Bill! Like Bill really wants him to succeed! Bill, "America's First Black President" who's legacy (welfare reform and a "balanced budget with a surplus") has been completely undone by Teh First Black Precedent. The "boy" who in years past would have been fetching Bill's coffee has just got to rub Bill the wrong way. (Plus Barry has no people skills).
Remember when Bush got inaugerated? Remember how Clinton couldn't leave the stage then either? Funny about those Clintons. They haven't changed at all, and they always suck up all the oxygen whenever they're in a room.

He doesn't want to defend this deal. Somebody in the White House said, "Look, pal, if you want to be president in 2013 and not be a one-term failure, you need to make a deal to make sure those tax cuts don't expire."

Hmmm, by making Bill shill the tax bill what does this do for the Dem base support for anything Clinton? Top that with the Wikileaks stuff that's not too complementary towards Hildebeast vis a vis spying on the UN?
I think he's going to run for president because his ego requires it, but he wants to let the base be mad at the Clintons for this new bit of "caving into the Repubs" which is driving the Dem/prog base nutso (but nonetheless, they'll still vote Dem, even if they can't stand it, they'll vote Dem)...don't be suprised if Nanzi doesn't mount a primary challenge -- for the cause -- or maybe the Dem base will try to get Sanders to run for them, who knows; I think their base is casting about and each and every one of the Dems is thinking how best to grab the brass ring for themselves.
Hopefully, they keep up with this...hopefully the Repubs get their act together...hopefully Slublog keeps granting us all most excellent photoshops like this one, and hopefully I win the powerball here really shortly (so I can afford to buy my coffee in a few months).

Bammy lacks those skills, has already managed to alienate both houses of Congress, and it's only a matter of time before he pisses of the MFM.
Barry has never been put in a position to fail. He's been given excuses and propped up for a long time. When he was graded, his grades didn't matter and it didn't take too long before he was promoted in spite of his grades.
The only real failure he had as an adult is that race for the statehouse. Of course, then he had a fat book deal, a fat professor deal and was on the fast track to elective office through the New Party anyway.
Bill scraped and clawed. His fatherless home was a real handicap, nobody made excuses for him. He lost elections, lost fights and had to engage in really sleazy activity to be successful in Arkansas. He knew how to grease the skids, how to kiss the right backsides, how to maneuver and how to take and reject political advice.
Clinton could handle that he was sometimes not up to snuff. But for Barack, he thinks he's a messiah and he regards every failure on his part as a failure on the part of somebody else.
He's President Peter Pan -- petulant and puerile.

All of y'all...too funny! I love this bar.....
Posted by: NC Ref at December 10, 2010 09:09 PM (cRo7T)
We got winners, we got losers
Chain smokers and boozers
And we got yuppies, we got bikers
We got thristy hitchhikers
And the girls next door dress up like movie stars
Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar
We got cowboys, we got truckers
Broken-hearted fools and suckers
And we got hustlers, we got fighters
Early birds and all-nighters
And the veterans talk about their battle scars
Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar
[Chorus:]
I love this bar
It's my kind of place
Just walkin' through the front door
Puts a big smile on my face
It ain't too far, come as you are
Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar
I've seen short skirts, we got high-techs
Blue-collar boys and rednecks
And we got lovers, lots of lookers
And I've even seen dancing girls and hookers
And we like to drink our beer from a mason jar
Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar
Yes I do
I like my truck (I like my truck)
I like my girlfriend (I like my girlfriend)
I like to take her out to dinner
I like a movie now and then
But I love this bar
It's my kind of place
Just trollin' around the dance floor
Puts a big smile on my face
No cover charge, come as you are
Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar
Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar
We got divorcees and a big bouncer man
An old jukebox and a real bad band
We got waitresses and we got barflies
A dumb-ass and a wise-guy
If you get too drunk just sleep out in your car
Reason number 672 why
Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar
Play it on out boys
Beer-thirty's over
Got to take it on home
Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar
I just love it

I realize everyone is gleeful that Bammy is finally being unmasked as the IQ-115 quota-hire loser that he really is [thanks, Bill Ayers, ghostwriter extraordinaire!], but, quite frankly, I think this state of affairs is more than a little terrifying.
What if, say, the Chicoms were to seize on a moment of weakness like this to simultaneously:
A) Cross the Straits into Formosa, and
B) Give Kim the green light to invade South Korea?
When the bad guys realize that we have a manic-depressive, malignantly-narcissistic, low-IQ, easily-distracted, quota-hire loser as CiC, then things could get surrealistically nightmare-ish in a real hurry.

123 I think the Clintons already had quite enough on Barry to bury him prior to the primaries (it's how they operate); however, they would need to do it in such a way as to benefit themselves, and this might not happen now.
I went over to the fever swamps -- the Dem base is disgusted with Barry, but this presser reminded them of why they hate Clinton (apparently he's a Republican). Their base is in disarray and scrambling to find a new standard bearer. Their boy wonder has done one more injurious blow to not only the country but the office of POTUS.
And then there is the GOP...interesting times.

Scenario A I wouldn't expect for a while. The Chi-Coms' sea-lifting and transporting abilities aren't yet up to the task of successfully invading the island. Perhaps in a few years, when their missile wall is more fully developed.
But regardless, there are a whole lot of other enemies that might see this as yet another sign of US weakness and start something earlier than even they would like to. I'm thinking of Iran, Syria, and Venezuela in particular.
