— Monty The G20, meeting in Busan, South Korea, failed to reach a consensus on how to deal with the ongoing financial crisis. Geithner & Co. want everyone to focus on their domestic markets rather than relying on exports to drive their economies (Keynes forever, baby!). But European leaders are balking -- mainly because most of them cannot grow their economies by focusing on their domestic markets. Germany is a good example: their economy, like China's, is founded on exports. Take away the export market and the German economy collapses. The Europeans are also right in the middle of a huge headache caused by a decade of profligate spending, and they're in no mood for a "hair of the dog" speech.
Germany, in fact, may be precipitating the fall of the Euro sooner rather than later. Der Spiegel is reporting that the German Federal Constitutional Court may block Germany's portion of the EU bailout package (via ZH), which would basically sink the whole thing. I think Germany is simply positioning itself to leave the Euro and go back to the Deutschmark -- many Germans were against the Euro project from the beginning, and being told that they have to bail out their more profligate neighbors is causing a massive political backlash.
Meanwhile, back on our own shores, Commodore Bernanke of the USS Keynes says: "Ramming speed!" And in a bit of (surely unintentional) hilarity, Bammer's vaunted Debt Commission is broke. Remember: the first time is tragedy, the second time is farce. The Depression was a tragedy, so this must be the farce.
Unsurprisingly, the futures for the Dow and S&P 500 are down as of this writing. The Euro took another shot to the nuts: it's sitting at $1.19 against the US dollar, and is almost sure to fall further given the failure of the G20 talks.

This story is interesting.
NJ Dems have majorities in the state houses but don't have the guts to stop Christie's budget. They don't want to vote for it, and don't want to be blamed for scuttling it. So what they do? They used their majorities to force some rules that make the Republican minority own the budget. They will provide just a handful of votes, enough for the budget to pass, and then howl like hyenas when it passes.

I sat down with her on the sofa and (as calmly as I could) tried to explain to her why Monty insists on denying that the magical Skittles shitting unicorns will save the world economy. I tried to keep my voice steady, but it became increasingly difficult - the rage and feelings of helplessnes were just too much. I think my daughter could tell something was wrong. I found myself at such a loss for words - nothing made any sense; nothing makes sense anymore. I finally had to admit, "Honey, I just don't know - I don't know what's going on in this country anymore..."
When I finished her lower lip started to tremble and her eyes began to fill with tears, "Daddy" she said, "why is Monty so mean?" Well, that was it for me: I finally fell apart. She just fell into my arms and we both began sobbing for several minutes.

It's not a bail out of Greece, it's a bailout of the socialist union in Greece. Make no mistake, these same socialist union conditions exist elsewhere, including in many US States, counties, and cities as well as the Federal Government.
It shouldn't go without mention that a big chunk of the mortgage bailout crisis in the US was related to the CRAs attempt to socialize housing, by passing out 'free' homes to those who clearly had little to no means to actually buy those home...

Will he be able to put the screws to you
Napolitano chasing, and sheÂ’s racing
So near yet still a ways away
On an Obama screwousel, on an Obama screwousel
Nearer, nearer by changing laws
Still a ways away
People fighting for their constitution
Just get in the way
Round and round and round and round and round
And round and round and round screwing you
Up, down, up, down, up, down too

There comes a time when you need to put aside what you've always been told and use your brain. Be logical. Check the facts. Read actual history. Turn your back on the pretty fairy tales you've been fed and face up to reality. Liberals annoy me because they are so willfully ignorant.

i agree, i wish she hadn't put her self in that position, she was a useful tool as they say. i know plenty of people that don't grow up until they are well into their 20s
we have soldiers fighting the good fight much younger than that. raised by decent parents.
i just feel bad she grew in an environment that killed her. she likely would have stayed a tool as many we hear of everyday.
i just find it sad.

So -- Saturday morning announce the Euro is only good for transactions up to a 10E note, everything else must be electronic, bars and hookers hardest hit. Citizens can redeem 5K E - businesses upto 100K E on Monday. Can they let retailers use dollars or pounds notes until DMs can be circulated? Can the electronic banking (devit/credit card system in Europe handle going cashless?)

The always ghey-sounding Mark Belling had Paul Ryan on Friday's (Rush) show. Ryan claims to have the formula for getting the US out of the shiznit in a few years. I'm sure Barry O will want to call him up to the big house in 5, 4, 3...
I heard the interview. Belling talks too much. Ryan has had that plan out for quite some time. Ryan also schooled Barry in the dog and pony show the precedent set up a few weeks before healthcare passed.
Ryan, is upbeat, articulate, likeable, and a true believer, in other words, one of us.
Yeah, I'm biased, and have a mancrush on him, but he's the best I've seen in quite awhile.

sadly despite being armed with facts and asking them for facts I have learned when you are at a party where they outnumber you just to back down. Seriously though, these people normally are intelligent and successful in their fields, don't know how they cold still be so pro BO and believe all the climate and oil stuff, without even wanting proof. I almost feel as though they know some secret that they aren't sharing that makes them behave like this.

curious, i've had same experiience month after month with dems leftys,
They are ill, they believed this idea and the messiah that brought the fruition of their hopes came, they will not facetheir IDEAS are a disaster. i don't know if they ever will.
we see things sporaticlly from the left, a soft slap at the administration, because their ideas won't work but they won't admit it is their IDEAs just the way they are being implemented,
but rarely blame Obama that IS supposed to BE the Leader.
crazy, ill jerks. probably would wreck them to realize their ideas are nothing but same misery perpetuated on humanity for a hundred years. implementing isn't the problem the idea itself is.

It's displacement.
They cannot admit to a crack in the world view, or the whole thing falls to pieces. Bit by bit, some may come to see parts of reality, but there is essentially no hope for most.
And consider the East Germans who lived for years with the threat of the Stasi, etc, who still yearn for the paternalistic dictatorship of the East German Vaterland.
Or consider the always insane James Carville, who has started to complain about Obama and the status of the Gulf. Carville, this is who you really wanted to be president, isn't it. Forty years of Democrat majority, isn't that what you wanted. Four more years of Obama in 2012?
Face it, we are locked in a room with millions of our fellow citizens that suffer from mild to advanced sociopathic displacement.

178 Rachel Corrie is the perfect example of how liberals live in a fantasy world, and that is why I feel sorry for her. They think its all a game. They don't realize that if you go into Gaza to support an anti-Israeli movement or try to break a blockade or go hiking in north korea or iran, you are probably getting arrested or killed.
Howard Dean, yes former VT gov. Howard Dean, had a brother who went on a vacation of sorts in Viet Nam. During the war. He and his friend disappeared and have never been found. He & his friend were not in the military, they were Jane Fondas without the fame.
Leftists do not understand that the world is a dangerous place, full of dangerous people who might find it fun to kill you if you cross their path. Leftists think the most dangerous thing in the world is to sit next to a republican at a dinner party. Leftists lead sheltered lives and it never occurs to them to think for themselves.

Concurrently, advocates of social programs, social justice, progressives, will tell you that their goal is not socialism as defined by those who have tried it before.
Hmmm.
No clear difference in intent there, but at least the overt socialists are honest.

I have been driven by fashion and return to using this type of moccasin, which has not done since the 10 or 11 years. However, in aged skin that gives a much more current. If I'm correct this issue "used" is achieved by waxing the skin and then brushing the wax burns and, to be darker than the skin makes a patina reminiscent of the shoes and other leather goods that have been used for long
