— Ace I took this horribly unfocused with Drew's camera.

News: I can't reveal the source (I can say it's not Hannah, though), but the lawsuit is almost dead. ACORN, as many of you supposed, does not want to open its books for discovery.
"A bluff," a source close to Hannah (and yet not Hannah) says.
(No, seriously, I know I do a lot of sarcasm and wink-winking, but that's not from Hannah.)

I've been in this chair almost as long as Big Head Ted's ass was in "his" seat.
Posted by: logprof at January 19, 2010 08:15 PM (gJL6J)
My comment was picked up by Jim Geraghty at NRO here: http://tinyurl.com/ykd8ezg (well, it was "picked up" after I emailed it to him...). And the rest is mother-fucking-history.
My advice (FWIW):
We have 16 days left before this election takes place. This will be the only general election in the country (that I'm aware of) for a national office between now and November.
The conservatives base is absolutely frothing for a fight. Independent voters are disgusted with the status quo. And the Democrats are discouraged.
WE NEED TO BUILD MOMENTUM FOR BROWN ASAP!
I don't like the "meh" attitude about this race I'm getting from Ace and Jim Geraghty. I certainly understand it: You don't want to pull out all the stops and get everyone's expectations up for a race that our candidate could very well lose by 20 points.
That being said, I say: SCREW IT! If we lose by double digits, so fucking what? It's MASSACHUSETTS, for fuck's sake. No one will be busting our balls about a GOP loss in Massachusetts for more than a couple days. It will be almost completely forgotten by Groundhog Day.
Do we want to kill the 0bamaCare bill? Yes. Is winning this race one way to do it? Yes. SO WHY AREN'T WE DOING EVERYTHING WE CAN TO WIN THIS RACE???
Does anyone here doubt that the left-wingers on the blogosphere would be doing everything in their power to get a Democrat elected in a similar situation? Of course they would. So why aren't we? Are the leftists simply tougher than us? More committed?
Should we just shrug and cede a potentially winnable race simply because we are concerned about losing???
What I would like to see is a post (or two!) every day between now and January 19th about how Brown is closing the gap, Brown has the momentum, Coakley committed another gaffe, Coakley's supporters are lacking enthusiasm for their candidate, etc. etc. etc.
And not just on this blog. On all the big-name conservative blogs.
If we do that, it will quickly become a meme. The leftists will start pissing in their panties. FOX News and conservative talk radio will pick it up. The MSM will be forced to report on it. And the undecided/swing voters of Massachusetts will begin to believe that it's possible that Brown could win, which could very well become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Let's do it, gang. And if we lose anyway, so what? At least it gives us some experience heading into November.
Look. Either everyone took my advice, or else my timing was just fortuitous. Whatever. Either way, I am SO FUCKING HAPPY that things worked out in the end.
Now: On To November!!!

I disagree. If there was anything in his personal life that was unsavory, the Dems would have used it against him in this campaign.
Brown won't be up for reelection until 2012, and the Dems have other things to worry about right now. He's good until at least late 2011, when the nutroots slime squads come after him.
