Harry Reid Sees Dead People
— DrewM

Alternate headline, Harry Reid is a sub-moronic ass.

Asked to name "a greatest living American" most of us would name a person who is objectively "living" and an "American", the greatness being a bit more open to interpretation. Harry on the other hand goes with two guys who are dead...Ted Kennedy and Robert Byrd.

Call me crazy but I don't think a guy who got liquored up and killed a woman or a man who rose up the ranks of the Klu Klux Klan should be on anyone's list of "greatest American", living or dead.

Just remember though...Sharron Angle is an idiot who can't be let near the Senate. And according the Mensa member Harry Reid, Clarence Thomas is "an embarrassment to the Supreme Court".

FTR-I'm not sure who the greatest living American actually is but I'm willing to bet you have to go pretty far down the list before you come to a career politician. I'm positive this guy and his compatriots come way before just about anyone in the US Senate.

Bonus fun...Reid aide may have used insider information to profit from legislation before the Senate.

I think, and it's probably only wacky me who believes this, but I think the defeat if Harry Reid is the most important thing in 2010.

It's a huge scalp. Huge. And we need a big victory. Other than Scott Brown in January 2010, we haven't had a significant victory since 2004.

Serious Cat, that's with a sample poll percentage of 43D/24R/33I.  There is no way you can tell me that the Dems are going to show up with those kind of percentages this year, given the enthusiasm gap - especially in Arizona this year.

And I don't know how accurate that particular polling outfit has been in the past.

There's gonna be some serious hangovers on both sides - for VERY different reasons - come November 3rd.....

it's a few days old...

During a televised debate, Rory Reid, the son of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), said he does not support the legal challenges against the health overhaul. Yet, he does believe that President ObamaÂ’s signature achievement could negatively affect Nevada.

“I don’t deny, however,” Rory Reid said, “that Nevada needs to be vigilant on this issue. The law that was passed gives time for the new system to go into effect, but there is potential for it to put significant pressure on states because Medicaid rates could go up significantly.”

Harry Reid perfectly represents, imo, the problem this country is facing and that is power poisoned, corrupt, entitled, self important, stupid politicians.  Not only are they corrupt, they have been able to corrupt the entire system.  And many of the repubs, especially those who have been there more than a couple of terms, are every bit as bad and as culpable for the mess this country is in.

214 What is remarkable is that the statement came as an unforced error. Nobody asked him to name a "greatest living American".

That is a useless and stupid thing to try to do to begin with. Most people if asked, would attempt to name a "greatest dead American" or maybe "greatest President" but trying to name someone living is foolish.

And as was said, to name someone who should have spent 25 years in jail for felony DUI with a homicide is ludicrous.

222 From PPP's Jensen- "we may be underestimating the democratic strength and reids in nevada- not angles- we were off by 6 in 2008!" their likely voter model shows voters picked Obama by 2- they picked him by 11 in 2008. thats a shift of 9 for the republicans. So they are seriously trying to backpedal which means Angle is up by a considereable amount in their polling tomorrow. If that is the case...Nevada IS breaking towards her in the last few weeks, and with everything else thrown at her I don't think Reid has anything left other than the polling being severely off.

288 250 CAC, you sure about that? Your quoted sentence sounds like they're saying Democrats will do better than their polls are showing. Posted by: Soothsayer at October 11, 2010 05:37 PM (7UuG Read between the lines. Anytime a pollster, before releasing its results, admits it has a partisan bent (and works with Kos) but then tries to highlight how it underestimated Democratic support in 2008... they are trying to make excuses for what is likely a NASTY poll for their side. They did this in a shorter manner for their Wisconsin poll, but that was Kos commissioned so Markos did much of the talking and hyping. This time its on Jensen entirely. He wants to believe that Reid has that magical "missing 9 pt gap", which leads me to believe that the poll is ugly for Harry.

Anyone else enjoying the fact that the President of the United States is accusing american citizens of criminal acts with absolutely no evidence? He then challenges them to show that they are indeed not criminals by revealing donors which would be a criminal act? In addition, he fails to hold himself or his cohorts to the actual standards much less the made-up ones which he is condemning others with?

Someone tell him that disagreeing with his policies is not destroying democracy. Also tell him he needs to buy a dictionary.

Yeah, he interrupts his guests almost as much as BOR, then says he's out of time when he has three hours (a day!) to fill. He's starting to just gloss over issues like everyone always knows what he knows.

And Beck is much better on TV than on radio. He's good at seeing what's coming, but his radio show is almost a commercial for his telly show. And I can understand, kinda, why his health is bad: I think it's the stress of finding out what he's finding out.

At what age do men run out of entertaining words, or are there only so many ways to describe an event?  Or is it Bubbaism?
