Hitler's Pollster: Obama Disapproval at Levels Last Seen By....President Bush
— Gabriel Malor

Actually, it's one point worse than President Bush's final job approval at the beginning of January 2009:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 23% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-four percent (44%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21. That matches the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President.

The "deeply unpopular" President Bush's final "Strongly Disapprove" rating was 43%. Obama retains a slightly more devoted core than Bush (23% vs. 13%).

Change!

Yeah, trust me, Mr. College Professor (barely an adjunct) would have leaked them if they were good.  I think one of the reasons so few people remember him from Columbia and nobody remembers him from class is that he "took" lots of independent study classes from Marxist professors who all gave him A's.

I am quite sure he did horribly enough at Oxy (where those special arrangements are rarer) not to justify his transfer to Columbia, but he had an "in".  He's always had an "in".

But I think the real reason he won't release them isn't that he took wussy courses or did poorly in all of the real courses, but that the titles of most of his courses would reveal, in headline-friendly soundbites, exactly how much of a Communist he really is.

WSJ: In a carom shot if there ever was one, the excise tax on gold-plated health coverage has received one last tweak. It is expected to fund ObamaCare as employees take more of their compensation in wages rather than health insurance, thus exposing more income to ordinary taxes. The House demand to delay that tax until 2018 from 2013 in the Senate bill—to appease the likes of AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka, who met one-on-one with Mr. Obama on Wednesday—therefore reduces Social Security payroll tax revenues. But reconciliation expressly forbids such changes to Social Security, and CBO says this change will drain some $53 billion from the program's trust fund.

Senate Republicans will therefore be entitled to raise a budget "point of order" against the entire reconciliation bill if it does arrive in the upper chamber. That will let them strip out the offending provision—which will offend the labor movement, to say the least—or even send the entire bill back to the House, forcing another round of agony on the gullible rank-and-file.

103 If you don't look back on Bush as an extraordinary net improvement over what we've got now then you're totally fucking hopeless.

Jimmah Carter would be an improvement over what we have now.

97 I take heart in the fact that Zero cancelled his trip entirely now.

They don't have the votes.

And that's just the fucking way it is!

50% less stinky shit is still shit.  Bush was a great Governor of Texas, but in Washington, not so much.

We sat on our hands while the Communists took all of the institutions.  We were too goddamned polite and too afraid to be called McCarthyists.  We got rolled because they've been playing hardball since the early 1900's and we've been simply trying to get along.

102 I have been so disturbed by all of this total destruction of my country and the looming PissCare on the horizon that I can barely sleep.

I live in Geezerville, Florida, and the number of white hairs awakening to the impending disaster is increasing exponentially.  Many realize the party's over, and their concern and worry mirrors your anxiety.

Retirement is supposed to be a time of joy and reflection, but for many has become an agonizing exercise in realizing they will outlive their money, and what little is left will be consumed by an ever encroaching government.  All geezers are useless to the Marxist dream of Utopia, and dying is the supreme sacrifice for the greater good.

This is Obama and the progressives dream, but to enjoy this panacea, they must walk over our dead bodies and we have something to say about that process.  Many of us still remember "thrust and parry, low crawl, garrote techniques, night infiltration, and other warrior disciplines."

Obama and his minions can fuck with us at his peril.

91  Oh, I meant it sarcastically -- believe me, that doesn't make me suffer.  In fact, I could care less what his approval rating is in another country, positive or negative, here is where it counts.  I just found the news article funny -- wonder why they felt the need to write it?  I feel that they insist too much -- in which I find a certain dark humor.

113 What's scary is a good part of Obama's disapproval rating is that his base is disappointed in his failure to get the Democrat takeover of the healthcare industry accomplished. If Obama finally succeeds in ramming his plan down our throat, or up some other orifice, the approval number will increase.

I don't think so, davidt.  At this point I think all the lefties are in his camp in celebration. Only a small slice of single-payer holdouts may be disapproving at this point.

When up to 75% of the public say 'junk this bill,' it's passage cannot bring you much in the way of increased approval.

Posted by: nickless at March 19, 2010 08:03 AM (MMC8r)

117 Once this bill passes I assure you my approval rating will go up 3000%.

#103,

And what exactly does that have to do w/what I said?

Look - every sunrise, President Obama, every 1st term Democrat Senator & Congressman, every 1st term Democrat Governor & local Representative should bow thrice to the man who single handedly raised their profiles as candidates, confused the electorate, and put them in office - George W. Bush.

Oops I guess I wee weed up the spelling but you people have really high expectations. You can't expect  a Harvard grad community organizer genius like me to be able to concentrate on my spelling while I'm filling out my brackets. BTW all you evil Fox reporters don't bother asking me how to spell potatoe  potato - I know how to spell potatoe potato.
