Holy Frickin' Reagan: Best Advertorial You'll See
— Ace

Seriously, watch it.

This comes from the Republican Study Committee, which is headed, if I have the information right, by Rep. Tom Price of Georgia.

So now you can't say the GOP isn't doing anything to advance the message.

I wrote to congratulate them and ask if they'd be doing a sequel -- Reagan asking "Are you better off than you were four years ago?"

24 I doubt that Ronald Reagan would have faced the new breed of terrorists and traitors in Congress and the White House with the measured, sensible words he used in his day. I believe he would have reacted more strongly, as we should react.

Osama Obama was a dope-smoking, hate-filled punk kid during the Reagan years. The Gipper could not have imagined that his country, a land of progress, peaceful dissent and (mainly) patriotism would have been brought so low so quickly.

54 it was East German environmentalists that caused the fall That's a new one - I "knew" it wasn't Reagan, John Paul 2, Margaret Thatcher, or Lech Walesa, but I didn't know about the environmentalists. I thought the standard liberal line was that the Soviets were always a paper tiger propped up by our military-industrial complex to keep everyone in line that collapsed due to the hero Gorbachev. Who knew it was a failure to recycle? Thanks God for PBS.

69 Nice. Here's the speech I'd like to see made into a commercial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmmgVFByeaI It's the convention speech from 1980. Start at 4:45 and watch the next 4 minutes or so. "Never before in our history have Americans been called upon to face three grave threats to our very existence, any one of which could destroy us. We face a disintegrating economy, a weakened defense and an energy policy based on the sharing of scarcity. The major issue of this campaign is the direct political, personal and moral responsibility of Democratic Party leadership--in the White House and in Congress--for this unprecedented calamity which has befallen us. They tell us they have done the most that humanly could be done. They say that the United States has had its day in the sun; that our nation has passed its zenith. They expect you to tell your children that the American people no longer have the will to cope with their problems; that the future will be one of sacrifice and few opportunities. My fellow citizens, I utterly reject that view. The American people, the most generous on earth, who created the highest standard of living, are not going to accept the notion that we can only make a better world for others by moving backwards ourselves. Those who believe we can have no business leading the nation. I will not stand by and watch this great country destroy itself under mediocre leadership that drifts from one crisis to the next, eroding our national will and purpose. We have come together here because the American people deserve better from those to whom they entrust our nation's highest offices, and we stand united in our resolve to do something about it. We need rebirth of the American tradition of leadership at every level of government and in private life as well. The United States of America is unique in world history because it has a genius for leaders--many leaders--on many levels. But, back in 1976, Mr. Carter said, "Trust me." And a lot of people did. Now, many of those people are out of work. Many have seen their savings eaten away by inflation. Many others on fixed incomes, especially the elderly, have watched helplessly as the cruel tax of inflation wasted away their purchasing power. And, today, a great many who trusted Mr. Carter wonder if we can survive the Carter policies of national defense. "Trust me" government asks that we concentrate our hopes and dreams on one man; that we trust him to do what's best for us. My view of government places trust not in one person or one party, but in those values that transcend persons and parties. The trust is where it belongs--in the people. The responsibility to live up to that trust is where it belongs, in their elected leaders. That kind of relationship, between the people and their elected leaders, is a special kind of compact."

I am so thankful that even though I was very young at the time I was old enough to watch, and understand, what Reagan was talking about in his 1964 "A Time for Choosing" speech. In addition to winning these 2010 elections we must not allow RR to be purposely mis-construed and falsely cast as a dangerous dummy by the current texts and history teachers in our public schools.  He deserves to be remembered as the patriot and giant he was, and we must see to it.

I just saw the play Billy Elliott and was appalled by how poorly and unfairly Margaret Thatcher was  treated, and how she was mocked in the script and lyrics. She deserves much better, too.

111 Typical right wing nonsense. We're in the mess that we are in because of Reagan. Since 1980, $0.56 cents out of every dollar has accrued to the top ONE percent. This is entirely the result of the flattening of the tax rates. The greatest broad-based prosperity this country has ever known came about because we had a progressive tax scheme that built a social safety net and the American middle class. Free markets aren't free if they are unregulated. The financial crisis is proof of that.

112 I had the pleasure of meeting Reagan when I was a kid. In fact, he was on the same train as my family and we spent hours talking, eating, and sharing the ride. He had his arm in a sling because he had been shot with an arrow during one of his movies. This was before he was governor.

He was as gracious and kind as you all thought he was. A real American. A real man.

Look at how far we have fallen. Now we have this arrogant, snot-nosed little Lord Fountleroy prancing around the white house as if it were his personal kingdom. A whiner, loser, blamer, finger pointer. Everything that is wrong with America, is embodied in this hack. And yet, some democrats STILL, believe this clown is doing a good job. Fools like Bob Beckel and Alan Colmes, Katie Couric, Matthews, Olbermann, etc.

I disagree with Reagan on one count: Liberals are ignorant. They are completely stupid. It's not that they know so much of what isn't, it's that they don't know so much that even our children know. These are very stupid people who just happen to be corrupt and probably evil as well.

And Harry Reid still has a 2 point margin over Angle. WTF? If he is voted in again, then the people of Nevada deserve to go down in flames.

113 You know what's great about Reagan? He came in a dark, dark time in our country. Second election since Nixon. Seriously, a Republican won an election  5 years after Nixon resigned.

Carter was a disaster, but the country righted itself. Don't get too down about the current President. If we can come back from Nixon/Ford/Carter, oil embargoes, stagflation, etc. we can come back from where we are now.

115 As a liberal who likes none of the politicians from any side in that video... One can edit a commercial of this nature (without context of any of the players original wording, including President Reagan) to say anything one desires... manipulating truths or suggestions is what video editors did here with the same intent and deception in their end product as the pols they hope you will learn to hate. What a tangled web we weave. The Republican Study Group is pure evil too.

It would have been better if the words spoken from Democrats hadn't been so obviously edited.  Note that when Reagan speaks in the video, his lips are synced, but very few of the Democrats are.

Look, I don't like our current government any more than you do. But I truly believe that falsifying our opponents by taking sound bites out of contexts is a very slimy way to do things. It seems that whoever produced this fully believes in the Michael Moore method of distortion.

One thing about Reagan is that he had already lived a lot of life when he became President.  He had tried, succeeded and overcome failure a number of times.  He had the wisdom that life gives one who picks himself up and keeps trying, learning along the way how to treat people (though much of that came naturally), how not to speak before considering his Principles first, and not poll-watching.  Was too bad the Iran-Contra stuff mired his last few years.  Still an effective communicator, a man of steel & velvet.  Greatness like that is hard to find, and at an advanced age!  Not some mid-40's hotshot BS'er.

God forgive us and protect us!

Problem is, of course, that our Liberal "friends" have messed things up so bad, it will take at least two years to get us out, as it did when "Ronbo" took office in 1981. Remember? One of the ways that I typically begin learning about a new Windows OS is to start by looking at its Windows Vista exam. What I mean is, if you are going to spend time learning about an OS, why not learn the things that Microsoft says are important enough to put in their 70-291 Exam requirements? Plus, if you are going to invest the time to learn about free CompTIA exam papers Windows 7, why not take a test when you are done learning and get a A+ Exams out of it? It just seems like the most logical way to learn about MCITP certification the new OS

188 Compared to the equivalent exams for A+ Exams and Windows Vista, the 70-680 covering Windows 7 is a little bit more difficult. You need to understand the material microsoft exams that is covered and apply the knowledge in various scenarios. For those who may think that they are experienced with Windows, you need to review the objectives to determine 70-680 if you really know Windows 7. For example, most people who are trying to get a start in MCSA 2003 exams have installed Windows 7 from the installation DVD, and many people have upgraded Windows Vista to free Microsoft certification practice questions. However, unless you work in a corporate environment Network+ certification where you are responsible for deploying a+ certification, most people have not used system images or automatic installation with an answer file.
