Holy Schneikes: Jake Tapper Asks About Long Form Birth Certificate
— Ace

No, not in the sense that he's interested in the Birth Certificate conspiracy. But rather to ask, if Obama's people want to go on a fishing expedition with the Chamber of Commerce and "disclose everything," where is the leadership from the top on this?

He starts asking about the birth certificate in the last two questions, but the whole interview with Axelrod is worth reading.

John McCormack from the WS sniped on Twitter: "David Axerold just demanded that the Chamber of Commerce produce its long-form birth certificate."

15 While it is pleasant to see push back against this president and all his shenanigans such a question is too easily dismissed as "fringe".

It will be nice when the American people demand more of their politicians by replacing a lot of dead wood. But it will be even nicer when we demand decorum, civility and respect as the employers of those sons of bitches.

Oh boy let's look at this gem by Axelrod:

AXELROD: I would be for disclosure for everyone. The American people ought to know where millions and millions of dollars in our campaigns are coming from. Whether they are supporting Democrats or Republicans. Transparency is what we need in the political system. What we donÂ’t need are special interests spending millions of dollars in these campaigns, to influence these campaign, never owning up to it, but having more muscle in the congress than they already have.

Does that mean they're going to turn on their verification system for credit card online donations in the next election?

25 Oh, and continuing the offtopicness, apparently the book tosser is an Obamaunist...

The US Secret Service found and interviewed the man who threw the book onstage. He was deemed to be an “overexhuberant” supporter who wanted the President to have a copy of a book he had written, according the Special Agent Edwin Donovan of the Secret Service in Washington. “He was deemed not to be a threat and was not arrested,” Donovan told ABC News.

from Hotair

"Last week, Barack Obama himself accused the Chamber of Commerce of using foreign money to push its domestic political activism, which would violate election law.  Unfortunately, as the Times reports, the White House had absolutely no evidence of any wrongdoing.  And Obama failed to mention that plenty of groups on the Left, especially labor unions, raise money outside the US as well. [oops]

Now the White House is trying to step back from their earlier accusations of illegality, but theyÂ’re still desperately trying to hang onto the line of attack:

Is that how it works in the United States in the era of Hopenchange?  The President makes an accusation of lawbreaking without any evidence of it, and the entity accused has to prove their innocence?   In this country, the government has to prove its case, not the defendant, and even before making an accusation of wrongdoing usually has to have some evidence of the crime in the first place."

Jesus Christ, this election season is insane. I know the left likes to say we are in a civil war, but really is there any other way to describe it?

The "moderates" or Career Republicans as I like to call them don't want to cede any control the the Tea Party or Conservatives, so much so that they are willing to screw over the Republicans in the general election.

Say all you want about the Tea Party people, but their candidates, as far as I know, haven't been endorsing the Democrat when they lose the primary.

My own parents happened to lose the birth certificate they got when I was born - my mother swears she never received a certificate with the baby footprints and handprints.  But I've had to submit a certified copy of the certificate for various governmental purposes - I've made requests to the state and I've gotten the copies.

Nice one Ed.

Jake Tapper is looking out for the folks, in his new weekly segment with Bill O'Reilly aptly named, "Tappin It In", right after the body language expert.

Yeah, the baby handprints and footprints aren't a birth certificate at all. They are just a little hospital keepsake and have no legal worth whatsoever. In most states the mother fills out the name of the baby, her age, the father of the baby, his age and everybody's place of birth. The name is recorded as the baby's name, date, parents, parent's ages and their birth places and filed with the state.

The parent has to send in $$ to the state with a form requesting the birth certificate. The state then complies by sending to the parent ORIGINAL copies of the child's birth certificate which contains the information required to be on it by law. This is the long form birth certificate. The parent's original is really a copy of what exists in the state capital but is not a copy for all business for the individual.

Apparently Obama has not show a copy or the state owned original with all of the information on it but rather a "certificate of live birth" which is some sort of bastardized copy with nothing but his name and whatever.

Didn't the head of CofC (Donahue?) send Obama some love letters that said the CofC doesn't agree with how you're doing things, but your goals and our goals are the same?  I think it was right at the first of the year.

106 Can someone enlighten me?

LOL
The short version is somebody interviewed his Kenyan grandmother who claimed to have witnessed his birth in her country.  To counter that Obama relesed the CoLB mentioned by dagny at 106.  Which many people feel is insufficient.  However many other people (including most every righty blogger) want the discussion to go away because it smacks of conspiracy theory.  In some cases, attempts to fill in the details through guesswork does get a touch sketchy.  And there's a related issue of what exactly "natural born citizen" means-but most talk of that gets discouraged for much the same "Conspiracy theory!  Oh Noes!!!" reason.

Diogeneslamp and Gabe could give you a more thorough breakdown of both sides of the issue.

AXELROD: Someone once in the course of this debate about whether we should have a law to force these organizations to disclose where they’re money is coming from in the campaigns, someone said, and I think they’re right – “the only people who want to keep things secret are folks who have something to hide

Weren't Bush and Company derided and called fascist when they made this same statement about the Patriot Act?

I'm trying to understand when it is OK to say certain things, and when it isn't. I think it works like 'it is ok if it is said by a Democrat or a supporter of a Democrat.'

Oh, and Axelrod can suck me.

I have nothing to hide, but if someone tries to search my property without cause and a warrant, they'll be sending a mortician to collect the body.

113 Speaking of "proof," has Axelrod given any that he is not a serial child molester? Because if he ain't one, he sure does do the best impression of one that I've ever seen.

Posted by: Lemon Kitten at October 11, 2010 07:17 PM (0fzsA)

He was peddling the same line over the weekend to Scheiffer, who (color me shocked) generally told him the whole thing was stupid and asked why he was still f'ing ghe chicken. Props to Tapper. I also found myself screaming about birth certificates, transcripts, passports, SSN, and the rest when I caught the weekend clip. Tapper must be monitoring me brain. Where is my tinfoil hat!
