House Democrats Weep As House Republicans Jubilate
— Ace

It's really minor, but MSNBC denied me my schadenfreude by psychologically preparing for the loss on November 2 and dealing with the wipeout with bitter snark instead of tears. I tried to watch them for the weeps, but they refused to give them to me.

This is sort of good too though.

Dejected Democrats wiped away tears on the House floor Monday night while Republicans congratulated themselves on winning back control of the lower chamber.

...

Joyful House GOP lawmakers, who will take control of the House in January with at least 85 new members, made no effort to conceal their elation.

Spotted crying: Dina Titus of Nevada and Debbie Halvorson of Illinois. Video please.

How about Politico is trying to make hay out of an anti Obamacare incoming frosh Republican who asked at orientation why there was a one month delay between being seated and receiving healthcare coverage.

You know because people against Obamacare don't want healthcare for themselves or anyone else.

This MSM meme is getting old.  You want smaller government? We'll pretend you want no government.  You don't want Obamacare to pass? We'll assume you wanting healthcare for youself is hypocritical.  it goes on and on.

18 Sweet Jesus I hate that scrunt Dina Titus.  As a former resident of Nevada, I have to say that politically, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing her worthless ass lose.  She did *absolutely* nothing for her constituents during her term--every vote and everything she supported was a big labor/extreme lefty pet.

Not only that, before she fell ass-backwards into that seat, having been swept up in the Obama wave of 2008, all she's done for the past decade is run for some sort of public office or another every year.  Seriously, I doubt she has any type of real-world skills at all.

What a fucking douchette.  Loved seeing her go down in flames.

23 Let's wait until the lame-duck session is over before popping those champagne corks, mmmmkay?

There's still plenty of damage to be done by the acolytes of the Osama Obama regime, and a couple of months left for the pork to flow unabated.

Worse, there's plenty of time to indoctrinate the incoming legislators on the Way Things Are Done in D.C. Any squishes among the new "conservatives" will find lots of opportunities to get into the swing of things.

I wish the honest newcomers luck. They will have to fight not only the Mongrel Hordes of the Mohammedan Mouthpiece, but also the entrenched political hacks like Mitch McConnell if they intend to actually break the Washington mold and act as "servants of the people."

79 A House Ethics subcommittee announced Tuesday that it has found New York Democratic Rep. Charlie Rangel guilty of 11 ethics violations.
The panel's chairwoman, California Democratic Rep. Zoe Lofgren said the committee rolled two charges together, meaning that Rangel was ultimately charged with 12, not 13 charges as originally stated. She added the committee was split on one of the remaining 12 counts-- a charge of harming the credibility of Congress.

I'd have to say that Rangel is "not guilty" of harming the credibility of Congress because Congress has no credibility to harm.

It was a combination of things — the tough economy; anti-incumbency; a lot of the misinformation that got out there early about things like health care; $9 million in negative ads against us. My campaign team, though, ran a flawless campaign and I don’t think anybody will point out any problems we had, any mistakes we made.

They weep because it's just so unfair.  They weep because the pathway to Senator just got longer and more uncertain.  They weep because they have no job.

In short, they weep for themselves.  Yet we all know folks that have gone through far more through truly no fault of their own.  These tears should be of shame then.  The Dems have presided over rising unemployment that has disheveled literally millions of families.  That's a shameful performance that would get anyone reading this fired.  Yet they weep for themselves when they should really be gladdened that the US is not an 'against the wall' kind of country.  Because in many countries, even today, that's right where they'd be.
