— CAC I resist openly attacking a respected polling firm when posting here (though I love to shred in the comments).
But hackery has devolved into quackery.
From the PPP twitter:
"Boxer and Brown are winning more Republicans than Fiorina and Whitman are Democrats!"
Just a recap from pollsters who say otherwise:
Greenberg Quinlan Rosner disagrees (this the one showing Boxer up 8 ).
Survey USA AND Reuters show the two trading exact % (which translates better for Fiorina as there are more Democrats than Republicans here).
Wilson Research says baloney.
Only PPIC shows more Republicans voting Boxer than the opposite, and thats by a margin of...1.
I will blend bacon and drink it, raw, if Jensen's Boxer-Fiorina poll comes within 2 points of the actual result. Whitman has been sliding for a while, but Fiorina has avoided the same negative trendline with other pollsters.
Just a warning to ignore the hackery that will hit with the poll release and to keep fighting to GOTV here in California. If polls showing the Democrats zooming do anything this year, it should be to discourage Democrats unhappy with either choice from voting- and thereby allowing Republicans, already excited with the opportunity to finally dump Ma'am, to close with a surprise.
I am sure the blogosphere will have it shredded within 30 minutes of his posting when it is released (much like the hacked West Virginia poll using more Democrats than what showed up in 2008 ), but I think the shredding needs to start at the moment shenanigans start, and Jensen was kind enough to twitter that for us.

BTW, the "SurveyUSA" poll isn't one of their usual ones and has a particularly small sample. What it does show is that the incumbent, Bennett, is well under 50%.

Many polls were right on the money with the Bush/Kerry race. Only the exit polls were screwed up.
There will be no pleasant surprises on election night for GOP Senate candidates. If you want to be happy limping home to a 5-6 seat gain, then be my guest. This was the election when the GOP should have annihilated the Democrats. But you couldn't do it. The Dems would gladly trade keeping the Senate (just for Judges alone) for losing the House.

All I know is if a woman like Fiorina (smart, respectable speaker, business experience, not a scary right winger) can't beat Boxer in a terrible year for Dims, Boxer is unbeatable. Fiorina may very well lose, but it will be close.

Early Voting report from Houston:
My wife and voted today in West Houston. 26 voting machines in the polling place. When we got there at 2:45 PM, there were 60-70 people in line. When we left 30 minutes later, the line had grown to 80-90.
We early voted at the same place in 2008, although it was on a weekday evening after work. Then, the line was about 1/3 what it was today.
As for the makeup of the voters this year...well, all I can say is that the angry Republican mob was out in force. The Dem poll watcher looked kinda glum and the GOP poll watcher (someone I know) looked at me as we were walking out the door and flashed me the thumbs-up. 
It's looking good here in this corner of the Lone Star State.

I trust Rasmussen, especially as the election gets nearer. I've followed these polls religiously in every election year: Rasmussen shows the least variation (few wild swings), and their results tend to be dead-on when it gets to election time.
That being said, I think that you're going to see a "coming home" effect as election day approaches. I suspect that the leftists will turn on in force in big blue states (i.e. California, Massachusetts, New York).
However, I think in blue-collar states with a large population of conservative Democrats (i.e. West Virginia), you're going to see the opposite effect. For example, I live in Michigan, and I can GUARANTEE a huge Republican wave. This is a moderately Democratic state that, outside of Ann Arbor, doesn't have a large base of "cosmopolitan" voters. It's a state that is predominantly "blue-collar" Democrat.
These old school, working-class Dems are jumping ship. Conversely, new-age, cosmopolitan Obamabots are desperate and angry; their stupidity has been exposed, and the only answer they have is to try to lash out at "tea-baggers," Sarah Palin, and Christine O'Donnell.
I expect a sizeable turnout from the "new left." These people are delusional, and their self-worth is on the line. In states like California, this will power Democratic victories. Elsewhere, Dems are going to get demolished.

No, I came out trashing PPP when I looked at them giving WV 9% of black likely voters. Have any of them ever been to WV? I also thought the quote where they SAID they wanted Burr to lose in NC and were working toward that goal and dead f-ing give away that they were not honest pollsters.

Republicans often have trouble in the last few weeks, it seems. I'm in Wisconsin, and back in 98, Mark Neumann had Feingold beat with about two weeks to go. But he couldn't make a good closing argument and ended up losing about four pts and lost the election by two. Ron Johnson is having the same problem. He seemed to peak with the brilliant "white board" ad that was so unique and striking in it's simplicity that Feingold didn't know how to respond. A few weeks ago, Feingold began hammering away on Social Security, the standard Dem playbook being used. Johnson just put out another "white board" ad and now it seems tired and old hat and his momentum stalled. I have to say up to this point, Ron Johnson has run a flawless campaign, so I'm not trashing him at all. But he's suffering from that same inability to close out an election. You need something to seal the deal at the end. I thought the national mood would carry the day, but the candidates must do their part.

Johnson's own internals have him up 3-4, but Feingold has been closing in slowly but surely in the last week. Now is that just normal tightening in the last few weeks or did he lose momentum. IMO, it's a little of both. OTOH, Scott Walker has gone for the jugular vs Tom Barrett in the WI Gov race, and even the very liberal Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel endorsed Walker today, sensing that Barrett had no chance.

Then I'm going to point out you aren't quoting God, you're quoting St. Paul (which, BTW guys, is one of a few reasons I don't rely on St. Paul), which you'd know if you'd know if you ever bother to actually read the Bible.
Then I'll mention the prohibition against having slaves for over seven years (after which he must be freed), which was also in the Old Testament and was unprecedented in the ancient world.
This and more is why those who fought most fervently in the early abolitionist movement were also, oddly enough, incredibly religious.
Now does that save us both some time or do I have to continue giving you lessons even though I'm not even religious?

It could be a few things.
A slighty blown header gasket can tick. See if any oil is being blown out anywhere. If you have one that is cracked, replace it.
A loose rocker arm/rod can tick, and will speed up or slow down with rpm's.
An exhaust leak at the manifold can cause a ticking sound, also. Give it gas while observing if you see any smoke.

There is no voter fraud in Florida 22 and as a volunteer election official, I can attest to that fact. I did sneak in a few extra votes for Alan West, but that doesn't count because he's a minority, and has been discriminated against in the past. Well, kinda.

Other than to say that when I moved here it was basically like get on board or get out of the way. No other sport or team existed. And when the city was in talks to get the Blue Jackets the boosters went apocalyptic. Nothing was to get in the way of the football factory in that city. Very creepy.
Now that I live in CIN I don't see as many fans at all so that's a good thing.

Check your fan clutch for looseness,but the best suggestion was to remove the belt and run the engine for a short time. That way you will be able to tell if the noise is internal to the engine, or in the external accessories.
