DHS is scrambling over a leaked internal memo, the kind you write up after assembling a team of bureaucrats to assess a problem and come up with a list of "Things We Could Do If Congress Won't Take On Amnesty for Illegal Immigrants".
Not things they'd actually do. Noooo. Just possibilities, they were just spitballin.
Among the things they wouldn't actually do:
USCIS could grant “parole-in-place,” which comes with a work permit and the ability to obtain a green card, to certain classes of aliens who entered the country illegally. Such classes would include those who entered as minors and those who “have lived for many years in the U.S.” A nice reward for those who have successfully violated the law for the longest period of time.For those who overstay their visas, the memo recommends granting “deferred action,” which means that deportation is deferred indefinitely and the illegal alien can apply for a work permit. The memo suggests two particular categories of illegal aliens for deferred action: those who might benefit if Congress were to pass the DREAM Act amnesty (of which there are 2.1 million, according to the Migration Policy Institute) and those “who have resided in the U.S. since 1996 (or as of a different date designed to move forward the Registry provision now limited to entries before January 1, 1972).” The “Registry provision” referred to is an actual federal law, not that it matters to the memo’s authors.
To make sure no illegal alien is left behind, the memo suggests that DHS could simply stop issuing “Notices to Appear” (the document that starts the removal process for illegal aliens) unless the alien has a “significant negative immigration or criminal history.” Apparently, violating immigration law once or twice is acceptable. These folks wouldn’t be able to apply for a work permit, but since the Obama administration isn’t conducting worksite enforcement against illegal aliens much anymore, that shouldn’t matter.
The official response to the memo is "we don't comment on internal memos.. blah blah fidgety blah. Bitches." So I'm reassured in that regard.
In other news about the most ethical Congress evah, Maxine Turnipface Waters may face ethics charges, likely punished with another tappy tap of love on the wrist.

Maybe it is time for a producers strike to just bring the collapse at a time of our choosing. Tank the markets (think September) ahead of the November elections and see how Democrats combat that. Yes, you are right! And Rangel served during a "good war", Korea, not a "bad" war like Vietnam, Gulf War 1 or Gulf War 2. if your parents or a parent brought you into the country when your 2, got that? 2 years old and you possibly dont even speak spanish its hard to morally and logically pin a lawbreaker label on that person an say he's being "rewarded for purposely being a "violator" ive seen cases of people deported who dont even speak the language of thier "home country" because they were brought to the US at such an early age. and they are often surprised they arent a US citizen.

You just have to be aware that it is an older property and may need some minor fixer-uper stuff.
Also be aware that it IS inside the city limits of Charleston and also some other things because of the age, so there may be just a few deed covenants and encumbrances.
Also parking may be a little tight if you have more than 2 vehicles and local traffic will be somewhat heavy.
And the price, well I'm sure its a steal at $10,000,000.00. Of course that was from the paper which alerted me to the fact that this run down old shack had hit the market.
So rush on over there and check on this thing. If I was in the market for Charleston housing I would be there in a heartbeat.

If I were governor of AZ, I'd say it's a miracle to find out that placing an undue burden on governmental resources invalidates the statue of the burdening party. This spirit of emminent domain has moved into NC. Bev Purdue is now trying to force ALCOA to turn over their ownership of a dam (or dams) to the state. Would any other business choose to invest in NC after this?

if you made the money legitimately and you afraid to leave it in the bank and you don't want it in the market or in bonds and you aren't sure about gold what else can you do with it but buy property.
But I watch as "imminent domain" is being implemented by multitudes of the last. I have wondered what can be done with my money.

We had a case here recently. A woman blew a tire on her car. An officer stopped to assist and it was discovered she was illegal. She was here 12 years, her husband was in the process of getting his citizenship, they owned a small business and her children were all born here. Immigration sent her ass back where she came from, by god! and quick. To India.

An analysis by Investor's Business Daily, which called it the "Zombie Option," said the idea – rejected in debate over the health-care plan signed into law earlier this year – is being promoted yet again as a way to save the government money.
Democratic Reps. Lynn Woolsey and Pete Stark of California and Jan Schakowsky of Illinois have joined to put together the newest proposal called the "public option act."
It was only a few days ago when Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told a Las Vegas convention, "We're going to have a public option. It's' a question of when," according to IBD.
The plan by that time already was proposed on paper, and it now has 128 House Democratic Party co-sponsors, the report said.
The proposal states: "For years beginning with 2014, the Secretary of Health and Human Services (in this subtitle referred to as the 'Secretary') shall provide for the offering through Exchanges established under this title of a health benefits plan (in this Act referred to as the 'public health insurance option') that ensures choice, competition, and stability of affordable, high-quality coverage throughout the United States in accordance with this section. All part of the plan. Check out the UN's Agenda 21, signed by HW Bush. He thought it wouldn't amount to anything, being a "soft" document, but this Congress has run with it. "Representatives" of the gubmint are infiltrating localities with a rosy-sounding green agenda and the locally elected dumbarses are signing on. It's designed to eliminate personal property as the US is the last country on earth with private property.
These emmisaries also figure in "adjoining" property to disallow private property holders from developing their property if it backs up to govt-owned land. They've made A LOT of headway. We had a speaker outline this at our last Patriot mtg and it was like a collective gut punch. I believe she said about 19 Virginia counties/cities had signed on. The audience looked like they were going to be ill.

We are operating under a spell and it is one totally at odds with the founding of this great country. Liberty was the one and only initiative of the founders and they rightfully understood it to be conferred by the Creator God.
Man is a political animal as Plato wrote and thus the founders realized their initiative of liberty could only be based upon natural rights as opposed to statutory rights.
The irony and hypocrisy of it all is moving us toward centralized power with a constitution subverted for the "collective's advantage."
Liberty has always come at a price for it is never a steady state proposition.
This go around is socialism's final frontier.

Young Illegals Out Themselves, Daring To Be Deported On July 20, 22 young illegal immigrants in caps and gowns entered the Hart Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C., and began sit-ins in the offices of several senators. Twelve soon returned to the atrium, where they formed a circle around a banner reading "Undocumented and Unafraid." Refusing to be moved, the students were arrested by Capitol Police, as were nine others who had stayed put in the offices of Sen. John McCain and Majority Leader Harry Reid.
Less than two miles away, a similar protest by a separate but allied group was taking place at Lafayette Square in front of the White House. These students went a step further. Openly announcing their immigration status and giving their full names just across the Mall from Immigration and Customs Enforcement headquarters, they forced a difficult choice upon ICE officials.
ICE has stated that it has no intention of initiating deportation proceedings against the students arrested in the Washington protests.
