Indiana Troublemakers Meet-Up Thread
Update: "I Signed"

— Ace

I don't know if anyone in Indiana needs to contact anyone to make mischief, or if coordinating on this ballot-signature this is necessary.

Maybe some people can agree to run collected petitions to the local registrar.

If anyone has some organizing idea to help pull this off, post here.

This thread is really for Indiana people to organize. Please, no chit-chat and stuff. Use the other thread for that. This is for serious mischief-coordination only.

Remember: Signatures in the reddish counties, especially in the southwest, are especially critical.

[DrewM.] Someone at Firedog Lake spoke with DÂ’Ippolito and apparently she's short in the Evansville/Terre Haute 8th Congressional District (represented by Brad Ellsworth, who is a leading choice to get the nod should the party pick the nominee). Help out if you are there or know people in that district.

"I Signed:" [ace] Like an "I Voted" thread -- if you've signed, let everyone know it, and how many signatures you got, and when you're planning on running your list over to the county clerk.

And make sure you look up where your county clerk is actually located. Don't put it off!

This can happen, man. This can be the greatest pwning in recent political history.

Good luck to all Indiana peeps looking for some Operation Chaos MK 2 action.  This could be awesome.

4 Hey, just saw this reported on FOX News by Carl Cameron. May I offer a suggestion that someone (with a camera, hopefully) go with this lady and document her turning in signatures to keep the machine dems from stopping her qualification. I'm just a lurker on the conservative blogs, and I don't know how to get this to the official mischief-maker. Good luck!

5 I live near Purdue.  I volunteer to get into some mischief with Tricorner hat girl.

8 I live in Muncie, about an hour east of Indy. This is a real shocker here. I'm looking to get more active locally as a result & I'm sure I'm not alone If anyone is interested in area meet-ups or other organizing eFforts, contact me @ mathew1421 at gmail dot com.

9 Well whether you get in touch with anyone or not, make sure you print out and sign the form and get everyone you know to sign it. Then drive it in.

Posted by: ace at February 15, 2010 03:26 PM (jlvw3)

10 Just give those signatures to me, I'll take care of them.

Morons, paste this everywhere - SARAH, COME TO INDIANA!

We need to paste this "Bat Signal" where her web people can detect it:

Her FaceBook page

Conservative4Palin (I'm on it)

HotAir

Free Republic

...etc.

...she can draw 1000 hardcores anywhere she goes.  Sarah, pick a few key districts, put out a notice thru your web channels, and just show up.  Morons, man the petitions!

12 I live and work in the 8th District, and would be glad to do what I can. I'll be working at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility tomorrow morning, but could probably dash out for a time if someone's got a petition going.

This will happen. My facebook page has gone batty over the last hour. They are pissed and embarrassed they voted for the charlatan. They are looking to screw it to someone.

IN morons if you go to B'town--if you get there, stop by Dagwoods and get a sub! You'll thank me.

14 I (unofficially!) recommend lying to the people you're asking to sign the petitions, especially in Dem-leaning areas.  Tell them that if she doesn't get enough signatures, the Dems won't be able to run a candidate against the Repubs!

Basically stealing Acorn tricks, but fuck 'em.

35 Is Baron Hill pulling some 11th hour shenanigans? D'Ippolito says on her Facebook that he's got 4,500 signatures to drop tomorrow: "Breaking news I have been told Baron Hill, Congressman of the 9th District has 4,500 signatures that he is filing tomorrow at noon. I have not been able to confirm if this is true or not I am working on it at the moment. But, we will all know at noon tomorrow what the deal really is...........................looking very fishy in Indiana." There is no way in Hades that he did that all in the last 12 hours. There are candidates who've been in this race for months and still don't have enough signatures (D'Ippolito for example). If this is true, he was tipped off by Bayh a long time ago.

36 *sigh* I would be so all over this except I slipped on the ice last Thursday and now I can barely drive, let alone get around easily in this weather. Dammit dammit dammit.

Posted by: Joanna at February 15, 2010 05:11 PM (xGwhS)

37 Posted by: Mayhem at February 15, 2010 09:08 PM (W6Kfo)- I could see that SOB Baron Hill pulling some shit like that.

That would complicate things a bunch. As much as I'd like to see that arrogant little bastard hit by an asteroid, I have to admit he's a good campaigner. He's already announced his congressional reelection but I suppose that's a minor detail.

Posted by: GrumpyUnk at February 15, 2010 05:16 PM (d7zzZ)

38 I would love to see Hill get his ass smoked in the senate race. He will get stomped. - no chance. If he stays in the 9th race, he's going to get his ass kicked there too. Regardless, he's looking for his new lobbyist job or Obama appointment the second Wednesday in November...

42 I currently exist (I can't really describe it as "living") in Vincennes, IN, the very heart of the 8th congressional district.  While  the average intelligence here is even lower than the average Kos reader's, I do know a few underground morons and moronoids--I will have ALL of their signatures in to the county clerk's office tomorrow!!

Awesome. How about standing outside the local grocery store tomorrow morning collecting a few signatures to put her over the top? I'd do it but I'm in Oregon. Come on, man. We need you.

44 I truly wish I (just for tomorrow) that I had the employment status of  your typical democrat, but unfortunately I have to work. But I have MANY people that come into and out of my office, and I can probably persuade all of them, libtard or free thinker, to sign.  I also have my minions at work at Vincennes University across town--one in particular is quite persuasive and should be able to get multiple signatures there.  I  think I will co-opt the argument that if she can't get on the ballot, then the dems won't have anybody in the race--sounds just like what they would do!!  Doin' my part...

45 I've been spreading the word as far and wide as I can...via Digg, via Twitter, via Craigslist, via emails to Tea Party and 912 activists in Indiana...I just hope we aren't too late...another 24 hours would have been enough time for sure...

Got  some signatures on their way to the Clark County registrar, and on the way we're gonna collect a few more from some clueless dems who'll be THRILLED to sign "to fight sexism."

Give me liberty or give me Baron Hill's a$$ on a platter. This one's for YOU, Senator Brown!

Posted by: askmom at February 16, 2010 01:46 AM (9NGSN)

49 I signed.  I'm hitting up my coworkers at the prison now.  I wonder if the inmates' signatures would be legit.  I could bribe them with Vicodin

So far I have 9 signatures in Sullivan Co, which is in IN-8, apparently an area of need for Ms. D'I.

Posted by: mikeyboss at February 16, 2010 03:49 AM (YMTtc)

50 Just saw Ms. D'I on Fox and Friends. Any numbers on how many she has so far?

Posted by: Terry at February 16, 2010 04:47 AM (lVYG1)

51 Hmmm... this is unfortunate.  I called the campaign phone number last night and got a busy signal a few times.  When I finally got through, I asked how many signatures she needed.  Some woman (the candidate?) said, "We need them all!  Keep collecting!  We're collecting all week!  We're collecting all the way to November!"

That didn't make much sense, but whatever.  There is a deadline here.

Now I'm looking at her Facebook page.  She commented on a post: "Lots of comments here I AM RUNNING THROUGH THE NOVEMBER ELECTION.  You choose to vote for a Democrat or a MACHINE."

I'm still hopeful that she can get the signatures for the Dem ballot by Noon tomorrow, but now I am worried.  It could be she realizes she won't have the signatures for the Primary and is instead trying to get on the General Election ballot as an independent.

Keep up the good work, everyone!  If I were still at home I would call in sick, dead, whatever to get off of work and help you collect signatures!

52 Note: I meant to say by Noon TODAY.  :::sigh:::
