— Ace Carter's Democratic Congress turned against him, too.
Allah digesting:
Lieberman and Bayh all but warned Obama to back off earlier today. About an hour ago, just as news of Brown’s victory broke, Jim Webb chimed in: “[I]t would only be fair and prudent that we suspend further votes on health care legislation until Senator-elect Brown is seated.” That wouldn’t solve the ping pong problem, but the more Senate centrists there are speaking out against the bill, the softer the House Blue Dog coalition will get. Every last member of the 60-vote coalition needs to be asked if they’d be willing to vote for Reid’s bill again in light of what happened in Massachusetts. I’d be awfully curious to see how close you get to 60 again. Or 50, for that matter.
Scott Brown's got a message for Obama:
I won.
Remember that, Champ?

Let me tell you something about Senator Kerry. He is the polar opposite of Scott Brown.
Ted Kennedy, for all his faults, was pretty responsive to his constituents personal needs. John Kerry does nothing for his constituents. Nothing.

I'm sure he realizes that a lot of his support came from Mass dems. He'd never have won without them.

Yea, he did work hard at the senator gig even though he was on the wrong side. Probably the only reason he kept getting elected.
Not surprising that Kerry does nothing.

People are blowing and beating each other without mercy.
Drinks are boiling. Iced
drinks are boiling. The worse anyone feels, the worse
treated he is. Fools elect fools.
A harmless man at an intersection said, under his breath, "Christ!"
That word, so spoken, affected the vision
of, when they trod to work next day, shopkeepers
who went and were fitted for glasses.
Enjoyed they then an appearance of love & law.
Millenia whift & waft—one, one—er, er. . .
Their glasses were taken from them, & they saw.
Man has undertaken the top job of all,
son fin. Good luck.
I myself walked at the funeral of tenderness.
Followed other deaths. Among the last,
like the memory of a lovely fuck,
was: Do, ut des.
Thanks, knuckleheads.

House dems will be running from socialized medicine like scalded dogs. I fully expect to see more dem retirements in the coming days. If they try to push HC through anyway, there will be a bloodbath that makes 1994 look tame.
I predict that Hillary resigns before the end of the year to begin her campaign for the dem nomination in 2012.

I don't know if a lot of you out-of-staters know this but the Democrats fucked themselves by changing the law for how governors appoint senators in 2003.
If they didn't change the law in order to expressly screw Gov. Mitt Romney, the current Democrat governor Deval Patrick could have appointed a replacement the day Ted Kennedy died to serve out the rest of the term.

Down in southern Virginia I saw Jim Webb running commercials on TV. It looked like Webb's staff had picked through their photo album and put up every single one which had John McCain in it. John McCain! I suppose the Sarahccuda would have been too over the top, but the point is I can't think of what you'd do to be running farther away from Obama, on the imagery side fwiw.
A devastating, self-inflicted stupidy everybody out in the country is talking about, too: What is all this stuff Obama piled on about Scott Brown's old truck? An old 200,000+ miles pickup truck is a thing of beauty, and guys who keep them running are to be respected for that, in most ordinary folks' eyes. They're talking about it, many of them drive old trucks, too.Sure, the $50,000 new diesel dually would be nice, but that's just a dream to guys down on the farm proudly hanging on with their old beaters. They are going to relate to the guy who drives up to them in an old truck as asks for a vote, rather than the lawyer lady who phoned it in from the Cayman Island Christmas vacation. This stuff Obama and his crowd has been saying continues to highlight separation and otherworldliness to stock Americans. Not going over well.

Kissel @ 110:
Yeah, that's a great irony. Here's another very rich one. Back in the 1970's we were close to having national health care, just like today. They were trying to extend Medicare to everybody. One senator blocked it, and only because he thought it didn't go far enough. He wanted more, in what he would later come to call the worst decision of his political career. That senator was Teddy Kennedy, of course.
So, what do you know, it may come to pass, and I hope it does, that the two times we've come the closest to nationalized health care, Teddy Kennedy's signature issue, it was Kennedy's The People's seat that undid the whole ball of wax.

Nelson would still vote for HCR. The fucktard is still running his bullshit 'Why I voted for HCR and it is really to help the citizens of Nebraska' ads on TV. I almost launched my TV 3 stories off my balcony when I saw that.
Can't wait until I see his ass at a pizza joint so I can boo him out too. Though since I'm now eating pizza 3 meals a day I might be getting a bit of a weight problem. . . .
Posted by: Adam M at January 19, 2010 08:09 PM (lf6b0)
Over at MSDNC, Maddow and Kos took this election outcome as a sign that Democrats must now pass HCR even if it means "reconciliation"
Let's see ... Republican running as 41th vote against HCR in "bluest" state wins .. it's a sign the "blue" team must pass HCR by all means necessary. Talk about dense. To call these people stupid would be an insult to stupid people.
Guess maybe I will get my wish to have the Democrats complete their "lemmings" death march as they kamikaze their way into the history books.
