— Ace His pitch:
This year's Republican primary in Alaska has come down to a fight between the establishment and the conservative grassroots. Unfortunately, Joe Miller and his homegrown base of conservative Alaskans are facing legal battles with well-funded special interests committed to maintaining the status quo in Washington. With your support, Joe can continue his momentum; stave off the inevitable lawsuits, and cross the finish line with another victory for the conservative movement. Please donate 50, 75, or 100 dollars to preserve the integrity of Alaska's electoral system and ensure that the true conservative is on the ballot in November.

I think the moneybomb is a bit premature, since there've been no decision about the victor in the primary. Does Joe intend to fight for the nomination if Murkowski edges him out?
Or is this a preemptive fund-raiser for the campaign?
Speaking of which, lawsuits and expenses over a Primary.
This is the very definition of a Solomon's Choice. Ask Murkowski and Miller if they'll abide by the official results - the one that says "yes" gets the nomination.

Sorry.. the primary is done. Let the elections commission in Alaska do its job. If Miller turns out to be the winner, as we all hope, then I'll consider donating.

And, let's hope he doesn't wear that outfit to DC.
Barney might be all over him.

A moneybomb to hire lawyers to contest a primary? Seriously, it's come to this?
Just when you think the GOP gets it's shit together, they gotta pull crap like this.
How about Alaska just counts all the damn votes and we go from there? Or rock, paper scissors? 2 out of 3 falls Texas Cage Match.
(Murkowski should concede)
(Miller needs to shave, it's Alaska dammit, not 1980's Miami Vice)

If you send $200, you get an ulu. For $500, you get your own float at Fur Rondy. Send up your entire APFD, you get a duct tape life size statue of Joe Miller slaying the minotaur.

On a side note, it says it's SSL but that doesn't show in my web browsers (both FF and IE). Shouldn't that show in the browser before you submit, not after? I mean anyone can say their site is SSL before you submit, but that's no guarantee it will be. I don't want to find out it isn't after I send personal info.

Yeah, this is my initial reaction too.
First of all, he is vague about what the money is for. "Special interest groups" trying to maintain the "status-quo in Washington"? He kind of infers that the money is going to battle Murkowski, but he doesn't actually say that. He could just be talking about a general election fund to win his seat. Give him money to "preserve the integrity of Alaska's electoral system"? WTF? Who wrote that for him? Whoever did should be fired for using way too many political weasel words.
Is he just taking advantage of the conservative base's anger and disgust at Murkowski to make some money for his campaign?
If so... is his (general election) campaign really the best place to spend money? His Democrat rival doesn't really seem to have a prayer.

Maybe before he holds office. But those lawsuits were Palin's excuse for leaving office prematurely.

I submit it is Mitch McConnell who is the cancer who will cripple republicans once they take back the House, maybe the Senate.
He is as weak a leader as The Dingy One. He will, God forbid it happens, be our undoing in taking Obama out in 2012.
Mark it.
What say you ACE?
