John McCain: Maverick? Moi? Surely You Jest!
— DrewM

And now we find out exactly how dumb Mav, er, John McCain thinks we all are.

"I never considered myself a maverick," he told Newsweek. "I consider myself a person who serves the people of Arizona to the best of his abilities."

Really Mav, er, John? Really?

We can all run down a litany of issues where Mav, er, John bucked the party and reveled in it. Who exactly does Mav, er, Senator McCain think he's fooling?

When the liberal democrats in the Senate were sucking John-John McCain's dick, he was a very engaging and content Senator extolling the virtues of bi-partisanship to reach consensus.

Translated, this meant he liked having his dick sucked, and would betray the conservative party to vote with his newest and bestest friends, the liberal/socialist.

Besides, his fat-ass burger munching daughter agrees with his liberal voting record while he proclaims his conservatism, and that makes McCain a fraud in the proud tradition of Hussein "IÂ’m a great pitcher" Obama.

75 O/T:  today I was uber monitoring USGS and I noticed that West Virgina had an earthquake of  3.4 magnitude which I thought was kind of strong for West Virginia.  I was too busy to add it to the earthquake thread and I wondered if anyone was hurt.   Larry Kudlow on CNBC just had breaking news about a mine collapse with 6 dead and unknown number injured.  I wonder if there is a connection between the mine collapse and the earthquake.

Here it is:  "CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- The state mine director says six miners are dead and 21 missing following a West Virginia coal mine explosion

Ron Wooten says initial reports are that the explosion occurred about 3 p.m. at Massey Energy's Performance Coal Co. mine in Raleigh County, about 30 miles south of Charleston.

Emergency crews are heading to the mine that is located near Montcalm.

Massey Energy reported the explosion but did not provide details.

Wooten says he has yet to talk with anyone at the mine.

WSAZ has a crew on scene. Keep clicking on WSAZ.com for the very latest information."

If either case is not true, he's Worse Than Hitlertm.

"And there's no doubt that when I'm with a black audience I slip into a slightly different dialect. But the point is, I don't feel the need to speak a certain way in front of a black audience. The Theme to "Maverick!", the new musical opening in Sedona, Phoenix and other points west, after playing on the networks and Washington DC for years!

Who is that white haired Senator there?

Maverick is his name.

Gatherin' votes from who knows where

Palin's his companion

Cindy is his dame.

Votin' with Democrats here and there

Maverick is his name.

Trashin' his party , it's not fair

To call him just a RINO

Egotist is his game.

Fare thee well Phoenix town!

Hello Beltway Pals!

Vain is the man who settled in A-Z,

Voters are dumb as rocks

Sarah says the campaign sucks

And the story  always has to be about ME!

This was always his intention, as anyone with a brain knew back in the campaign.  He's clueless, for sure, but that is not why he's doing this.  This is part of exacting revenge on the US and the West - by proxy in this missive.

He certainly does need to be stopped, and recognizing the fact that he is ineligible is the easiest legal path.  But, for those who can't accept that obvious truth, find another, because the US will not last, intact, through the entirety of the Indonesian Imbecile's whole term - no matter who wins Congress in Nov.

Essentially, Ogabe just green lighted the miscreants of the world to attack us.  All they need do is ensure the attack can be deniable and "traced back" to some 3rd world shithole that isn't worth expending any ordinance on, and was the work of some "terrorist group".

These are not particularly difficult circumstances to fake up even for fairly inept intelligence services.

304 He is too old, he is too much of the entrenched pol machine and he will not change. Why should we even consider him for this battle? He needs to step aside, he will not help in the approaching battle to take back this country. Look, I didn't even swear or go apostec with caps! Thats because I'm serious. McCain has served his time, but he is too old and set in his ways. He will harm us more than help us.... a fact....just a simple fact. Thats why they call it...."The Changing of the GUARD!!"

excellent Juan McAmnesty bashings!

I haven't read all the comments but the "McCain sucks" sentiment seems nearly universal.

at this point, I wouldn't care if JDH got busted selling his first born for crack he'd still get my vote over The Maverick.

306 Thats another thing that has frosted my cookies for so many years.. Maverick never fit this man. A reach around the isle (sic) pol of the entrenched pols kinda guy yes. But a MAV? Must of had a great campaign manager years back that made that moniker stick like an over-heated gummie bear on hot astro-turf. just saying....

307 Aye to 41 et al, JD gets my vote as well.  McCain was my 4th pick for president, behind Thompson, Romney, and Guliani.  The assclown needs to go.

And fuck him with his Amnesty and Campaign finance limiter laws.  He's done more to hurt the republican party than help.  He is indeed what's wrong with congress.

OK, I'm gonna buck the tide on this one.  John McCain ran a piss poor campaign against Obama - no two ways about it.

But his Senatorial constitutents have elected him and re-elected him to the U.S. Senate - so by that measure he must be doing something right. And if you believe in the polls, John McCain is gonna win re-election again.  Maybe folks in AZ think he's doing a good job for them.

Y'all know that Sen. Scott Brown (man I just love writing Senator Scott Brown!) cast his first vote with the Dems.  But no one is calling him a RINO - he said he was voting on whatever the hell the issue was, the way the voters in Massachusetts wanted him to vote.

Yes, McCain used to hob-knob with the Dems too much for my liking, but since the election and especially on ObamaCare, McCain has been loud and vociferous against all of Obama's schemes and dreams.  And frankly, a lot of folks who didn't like McCain didn't vote at all and they bear some responsibility for the election of Obama too.  Excorciate McCain for being a RINO, and allow a SOCIALIST to get elected.

Well McCain is off the National front these days and will never make a comeback - but the voters of HIS state apparently like the way he represents them, the way the voters in MA liked the way Scott Brown represented them in that Senate vote.

309 mccain is vindictive, he felt Bush screwed him out of the presidency back in 2000 and spent the next 8 years trying to screw over Bush and the republicans.  Then barry screwed him over in 2008 so now he is trying to screw barry.

When it comes down to it, mccain stands for himself and nobody else.

310 @324

This AZ voter vociferously disagrees with you.  And McCain in Arizona is a hell of a lot different than Brown in MA.  MA is blue as a blue state comes.  Arizona was the source of Goldwater.

F that noise.  McCain = out.

McLame AND B+rry are living examples why Senators should never be Presidential (or Precedential) candidates.

Please America...never do this to us again.

313 J.D. Hayworth is a corrupt, inept blowhard that couldn't even carry his own district for re-election.

As bad as McCain is, Hayworth is not the answer.

315 It is always depressing when you all need to bash a ture American hero that put some iron in our enemies... we don't help anyone with this stupid attack on McCain...I love Brown, but he has done less that Mac with Obama stupid bullshit.... BHO is busy dismantling our government, and we spent time bashing Mac? Morons.

316 PS JD isn't a contender. He is a" lite "version of the person who runs for the POTUS...not the real deal...

Posted by: ford at April 06, 2010 02:43 AM (Ki7fm)

317 @325 Good analysis.

We all know how worthless McCain will be taking the fight to the enemy.  Hayworth may not be the answer, but McCain sure as hell is not the answer.

319 It's called a primary, Barry. Ask some of the older Democrats, they may have heard of them.

320 no one ever considered you a maverick, mccain, you stupid old fool. a maverick would have won the frickin election; it was a stupid old fool who helped turn our beloved county over to a commie gasbag. go retire already, stupid old RINO.

Posted by: KilltheHippies at April 06, 2010 08:16 AM (VKfXw)

321 I don't like McCain, either, but I'm not stupid enough to think about replacing him with a loudmouthed buffoon whose pockets are still overflowing with Abramoff cash, and who blew a safe House seat as incumbent.

What is it about conservatives that make us determined to turn what should be a record-breaking midterm into a circular firing squad?  Some morons are even supporting Rand Paul, whose foreign policy is indistinguishable from his Daddy's and makes Obama look tough.
