John McCain: What Do You Want to Hear Arizona?
— Dave in Texas

I'll say it.

It's been quite an impressive week for J-Mac, who decided to re-clarify his position on immigration reform by declaring we have to secure the borders first before we take on comprehensive immigration reform.

"I believe that we can convince our Republican colleagues that we have to secure the border first," McCain said during an appearance on KFYI radio in Arizona. "There's no point of having immigration reform unless you can have the borders secure first."

Convince your colleagues? Hell, you couldn't even convince yourself John.

Kind of odd watching McCain fight harder to hold onto his Senate seat than he did to win the Presidency, but whatever. If you're buying, he's selling.

Last night Exurban Jon suggested that "by week's end, McCain will join the Minutemen". Seedubya joined in with "By week's end, McCain will call Tancredo a"pinko pantywaist who needs to start getting serious about defending our sovereignty" Dave: By this time next week, McCain will have led ICE raids on 37 Arizona businesses yelling "FEDERALES" and "NINGUNA CERVEZA NO PAZ"!

And it was on.

What about you? Got some Moron John McCain Predictions™? Throw em in the comments. The sky's the limit.

Bonus Seedub below the thingy: McCain was last seen disappearing into a drug-smuggling tunnel in Nogales with a machete & a dog-eared copy of The Necronmicon.

That was so good I want to dip my balls in it.

8 "I believe that we can convince our Republican colleagues that we have to secure the border first," McCain said during an appearance on KFYI radio in Arizona. "There are abominations and blasphemies which must be stamped out, and it may be that your own evil magic will undo you all again. Lindsay, my friend, a man can't tamper with immigration beyond certain limits, and every horror you have woven will rise up to wipe you out.' So in a clear voice Senator John McCain began the formulae: YOG-SOTHOTH 'NGAH'NG AI'Y ZHRO SCOTTSDALE FENCE VIRTUALIS! There had, as he had predicted, been no need for filibuster. For like his accursed campaign a year before, Lindsay Graham and J. D. Hayworth now lay scattered on the floor as a thin coating of fine bluish-grey dust.

11 This is how low the Republican Party has sunk:

John McCain: "I believe that we can convince our Republican colleagues that we have to secure the border first."

John McCain thinks he can convince his own Republican colleagues that we have to secure our borders.

He's not sure. But he's convinced there may be a chance we can argue and cajole and convince Republicans that the fucking border ought to be secured.

Jesus. Fucking. Christ. We are well and truly fucked as long as these stupid fuckers are leading our political party.

Frankly, I don't think it's in John McCain's prowess to convince Lindsey Graham that we ought to secure our own fucking borders.

19 [Monty stops by an HONEST JOHN'S SNACK SHACK, a humble roadside establishment near Gila Bend, AZ.] Monty: Attend, please! I crave a salty snack to satiate my ravening appetite. Honest John: You came to the right place, pilgrim! What'll it be? I've got MexiChips, HispaniRinds, and the ever popular Raza'n'Cheez pretzels. Monty: I note with interest that your snacks seem to be a rather...off-brand...assortment. Honest John: I make 'em myself! And only from the freshest immigrants! Er...I mean ingredients! Monty: I see. How much for yon jerky? It has a rather unwholesome look to it. Honest John: Bosh! My Paco-flavored jerky is a local favorite! Monty: Don't you mean taco flavored? Honest John: Sure, why not? Here, try a piece on the house and tell me if it isn't the most delicious piece of homemade jerky you ever ate! Monty: (Gnaws at the leathery strip of desiccated flesh.) Well, I must say, this is quite piquant. Tangy. But lean! No gristle. Honest John: Well, I run my stock before I slaughter 'em, you see. No lazing around in their pen watching Oprah, gorging on Ho-Ho's and warm beer. And the best thing is, I don't have to pasture 'em! All I have to do is roll by the Home Depot with a HELP WANTED sign and they jump right in the truck! Monty: You disturb me, my good man, but I simply cannot deny myself this delicious comestible. Wrap up five pounds and throw in a couple of bags of Paco-flavored MexiChips. Honest John: Here ya go, friend! Tell your friends: Honest John is all about practical solutions to difficult problems!

29 The more I see of McCain, the more I detest the stupid old RINO. If he was going to open his yap, it's about 2 years too late. Re-clarifying your position means your position wasn't a position to begin with. This is shameless posturing from a worthless old scrotum lookalike. Retire now, you stupid old fool, with whatever microscopic shreds of dignity you still have. Quit now. F off. Go away forever. Unless you want to pair up with Bob Dole and run for prez again in 2012. 75 From McCain's campaign site: "John McCain is committed to securing our borders. A secure border is an essential element of our national security and the economic well-being of Arizona and its citizens...John McCain does not support amnesty and believes that we should not reward lawbreakers. Any measure designed to fix the broken immigration system must deal with the undocumented population, and as we all know...We need a practical solution for dealing with undocumented immigrants currently living and working in our country...Our policies must promote robust economic growth...These policies must recognize the importance of a flexible labor market to keep employers in business...John McCain believes an essential component of any comprehensive reform to AmericaÂ’s immigration policy must include the implementation of temporary worker programs that reflect the labor needs of Arizona and the United States."   This is all nothing new. It's the same old thing John's been saying. The same old bullshit just wrapped this time in an extra layer of tough talking bacon.   "Securing our border first" - "it's not an amnesty" - "business needs a 'flexible' labor market" (so it can piss on you and yours) - etc., etc., etc.   Note that "securing the borders" says jack shit about what to do with the 12 million illegals already here.
