Continuing his defiant rhetoric, this morning John Pistole took a tough stance on TSA procedures and said they would continue:
Pistole stated unequivocally Sunday morning during CNN’s State of the Union that the procedures would not be changing despite widespread criticism of them this week.“No, we're not changing the policies, because of that, because of the risks that are” there, he said.
Hours later he changed his tune:
Heeding a sudden furor, John Pistole, administrator of the Transportation Security Administration, said in a Sunday afternoon statement to POLITICO that airport screening procedures “will be adapted as conditions warrant,” in an effort to make them “as minimally invasive as possible, while still providing the security that the American people want and deserve.”TSA's new flexibility comes as the government gears up for a flood of travel over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Administration officials say any changes are more likely to be in the implementation of the security procedures than in the security measures themselves.
Why the abrupt turnaround? My guess is that even people in the Whitehouse are getting uncomfortable with videos of children being searched. As the public outcry continues to grow.

Looks like someone in the Whitehouse finally took a look at the internet, and watched the Sunday Talk shows...
Even they can't live in their Bubble forever.... especially with the coming Anti Big Government Regulation backlash coming... and it IS coming...
This is just the start... they over reached, in an Unconsitutuional manner... dictating by Regulation that our Privacy could be invaded at will... when Americans LIKE their privacy.... and are suddenly starting to understand we have none...

It enrages me that they're strip searching toddlers randomly, but not only is profiling Muslims not allowed, but Muslim women don't get groped or harassed at all.
Screw that.
If near sighted Gingers with abnormally long legs and arms were the ones terrorizing the world, I would understand that I would be profiled, and I'd be happy to do what I was required to do to satisfy safety concerns.

How about we just choose what flights we want that get the passengers groped.
Ticket gal: "Do want a grope flight with your window seat?"
Passenger: " No, but let me cop a feel on that fine ass of yours while we're on the subject".

If someone decides they don't want to be checked and doesn't mind taking the chance they will explode in a ball of fire in the air or have their airplane come apart and ride a chunk of it down 30,000 feet to turn into a puddle of goo, that is their choice. I have no problem with that.
However, it is a quite pushy to insist others join you. Inconsiderate and ill-mannered. Whatever happened to the good old days when you could just stick a non-conformists head in a bucket of water and go about your business?

Makes about as much sense as trying muzzie terrorists in civilian courts.
There's probably a pattern there, just give me a minute...

"My guess is that even people in the Whitehouse are getting uncomfortable with videos of children being searched. As the public outcry continues to grow."
That (search youtube for TSA forces 4 year old boy who was disabled to remove both leg braces and go through metal detector unassisted), and the fact that in the last several weeks of this growing issue (more past stories are getting air/internet play now) I/we have yet to hear/see stories/videos/pictures of:
1) anyone of Muslim persuasion being screened by TSA
2) any stories of TSA nabbing anyone suspected of trying to get by them with a weapon/explosive
The TSA is profiling. Blame America First Barry and Co. ARE using profiling @ the TSA. ItÂ’s the Bill Ayers/Bernadine Dohrn/Weather Underground model, not the Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab/Richard Reid model.

Funny part is that after I retired from the Navy, I grew my hair and beard... and was traveling a lot on business... but I'd go to the airport in a leather Jacket, looking like an Anarchist... and seldom got searched...
After I cut my hair, and shaved, I found myself getting singled out for searched more...
Very strange....

Want to know how shit-for-brains stupid the TSA is? Plane filled with US soldiers returning from Afghanistan are removed from plane and RE-screened (after being previously screened). All are carrying one or multiple guns (un-loaded). TSA guy makes them remove all pocket contents. Blasts soldier for nail clippers. Confiscates said nail clippers, arguing they can be used as a weapon to hijack the plane. Soldier taps his rifle and counters: http://tinyurl.com/25sjuds

Wasn't that long ago you would be in trouble if you told an official at the boarding area you would not object if they groped you between the legs.
True fact.

No real company would treat "customers"* with this level of contempt and ineptitude.
*Check the TSA brochures--we are, apparently, "customers." With the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to Club Fed.

"....he said when they log in, they have a retinal scan..."
Retinal scans have nothing to do with rectal probing although it is easy to get those two mixed up if you do know know scientific or medical terms.

LMAO! Yeah, and apparently the TSA jag-off never saw a soldier/Marine do serious damage with the butt of a rifle.

Pistole is the perfect beard for B Hussein and his drive to destroy America. They belong together ... in jail, suffering their well-earned fates.
Couldn't sum it up better myself.
Pistole sentenced to constant cavity searches by Janet Napalitano. They and that asshole Chertoff also should be irradiated by the RAPEiScans 100 times a day for a year for a clinical study.

My guess is what changed their minds is resistance from Muslim groups (because they don't give a sh*t what the rest of us think). For Muslims its a 'rule' that they cannot show their 'junk' to anyone outside their spouse. And imagine the furor if they were 'touching our junk' while allowing special rules for Muslims. Probably made their heads explode!

OK, then. Don't fly. Buy a GMC Volt to get you there and back. (Within range). A $17,000 car for $40,000.
That was the plan all along.
Suckers.

This entire brouhaha was entirely foreseeable. 100% foreseeable. How stupid and incompetent is our gov't? Don't answer that...we already know.
Also, how do we know the TSA gropers aren't gay? If the purpose of same-sex pat downs is to avoid the TSA agent from getting off on it, or sexual harrassment of the passenger, then they must disqualify all gays from serving as TSA agents. I haven't seen this point brought up yet. Let the rainbow war begin. (and for the record, I don't have anything against gays; it's the principle of the thing)

If I'm selected for another groping I'm going to ask. It's a perfectly reasonable question.

#1 Touch his baby child's privates and manhandle said child while they scream.
#2 Force him to watch his wife get manhandled, breasts squeezed, privates touched.
My guys a Marine, a field MP. HIS job has variously been customs at Okinawa SEARCHING people, going through bags. He actually wrote the AF customs protocol at Kadina for them (so yes, he DID write the book on it!) HE IS APPALLED.
This is needless. This is gross. the idea they arent changing gloves, separating people from their kids and bags, and the whole inconsistent and arbitrary manner of what they are all about screams "security isnt what this is about!"
Hes worked on the green line and hes done other stuff, searching for weapons where it really counts, and really really really this is crazy to us. He cant hear me read any of this anymore it makes him too mad.
That said: Most of the people caught with bombs in their stuff by El Al screeners are western women. The boyfriend packed.
In iraq, yes they do strap bombs to women, to blow up in crowds of women and children. He did see this happen and he hasnt slept right since.
But people who are up to no good ACT FLAKY.
when stopped and questioned weird stuff happens.
DONT believe this crap that a person with a bomb will look like anyone and be as cool as a cucumber. THEY WONT BE.
People with bombs freak when they see dogs.
So my opinion is that they are trying to force an incident.
The man has no opinion other than "Its a good thing we dont take vacations."

Those were the days, weren't they?
Used to be, that you could look a man in the eyes, and judge him Hobo or likely non-Hobo and do what you will.
Not anymore, it seems...
Frankly, if I'm supposed to add all toddlers and superannuated nuns to my list of likely targets, I'm just not up for it!
Its one thing to go on a Hobo killing spree ca. 1990 - 2007 or so, but I never signed on for this shit!
Call me a pussy or rank me out as "not a team player".
Whatever.
It's just not feasible to treat each and every person that you meet as a potential Hobo.
Do the fucking math, man!
