— Gabriel Malor Oh my.
The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Johnson picking up 51% support, while Feingold earns the vote from 44%. One percent (1%) of voters prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) remain undecided. The survey was conducted one night after JohnsonÂ’s primary victory in which he received 85% of the vote in a three-way race. Feingold, who is running for his fourth term in the Senate, ran uncontested in TuesdayÂ’s Democratic primary. Future surveys will determine whether Johnson's jump ahead is just a post-primary bounce or reflects a serious change in the race.
When leaners are excluded from the totals, Johnson leads Feingold 50% to 43%. In late August, Johnson and Feingold were tied in results without leaners. Prior to the latest poll, support for Johnson ranged from 44% to 48% in surveys since February. In those same surveys, Feingold had consistently picked up 46% of the vote.
Still listed by Rasmussen as a Toss-Up, but I imagine that will change quickly. Feingold is getting pretty squirmy, claiming to be the underdog and claiming to be anything other than a stalwart Democratic vote. He is the Democratic half of the abortion known as the McCain-Feingold Act.
Ron Johnson, our guy, is a self-made businessman who founded his own company. He started with the unlikely dual role of accountant/machine operator. He's running as the "everyman" against the career politician.

Sweet.
Did they factor in the zombie democrat vote? or the corrupt democrat double vote? Watch out. The Wisconsin democrat machine is as corrupt as nearby Ill and MN.

As soon as Ron was old enough he started mowing lawns and shoveling driveways to earn a few extra dollars. He delivered papers, caddied at the local golf course, and he even helped bale hay on his uncleÂ’s dairy farm.
At the age of 15, Ron started paying taxes when he began working at WalgreenÂ’s Grill. He only started as a dishwasher, but he quickly rose through the ranks to become a night manager before reaching the age of 16.
Ron and his wife of 32 years, Jane, met during his senior year of
high school. While in college, Ron lived at home and worked full time in
order to pay for all of his college expenses. Because of his work
ethic, Ron was able to graduate college debt-free and with $7,000 in the
bank.
Compare to Russ's bio - lawyer, career politician, supporter of Paul Simon's Presidency.
And thank Russ for McCain/Feingold, supporting Crap and Tax, and helping pass Obamacare.
The correct choice is clear...and the morons will even appreciate Ron's last name,
.

For a minute there I thought you said that Feingold was gonna' lose to the Republican in Wisfuckinconsin.

And the triage continues...
but not against Feingold. He is the incumbant. As I said on the thread below, this hurts Alexi Giannolias in Illinois. Kirk is sitting on $8-$10 million. Ali G has $500k.
Do you really, as a Democratic donor, fund this guy when your incumbant in the north is getting hammered?
Mind you- you have an expensive Chicago mayoral election around the corner. Expensive house races now in WI,IA,MN,IL,IN,MI, virtually everywhere around and in the Land of Lincoln.
If the Democrats decide to triage Illinois like they are in Ohio... Kirk gets seated in the Lame Duck (along with *fingers crossed* Raese, O'Donnell, and DioGuardi)

Same day registration helps, too. Just walk up and vote. They also open polling stations two weeks early for walk-up voting, so you have time to hit several.

Now who can argue with that? I think we're all indebted to Ron Johnson for stating what needed to be said. I am particularly glad that these lovely children are here today to hear that speech. Not only was it authentic frontier gibberish, it expressed the courage little seen in this day and age.Posted by: Radioactive Satellite Of LOVE at September 17, 2010 06:15 AM (BlCYZ)

In other news, General Foods and Kraft announced a 24/7 production of pudding to increase supplies for the next 60 days.

In his last campaign, Feingold said his grandfather bought the first truck off the line at the now closed GM plant in Janesville. I wish someone would ask him if he thought of buying the last one.
Russ has a very good chance of going down this time. Eight years of Democrap rule has turned our state into a Michigan type shithole. We have lost over 70,000 jobs, taxes have soared and we have almost lost some of our most famous companies. Mercury Marine almost left, Harley- Davidson is staying only because the union voted concessions, but they are not building their new plant here. Parker Pen moved to Ill. and Polaris is moving production and 500 jobs to Mexico. Property taxes are insane here and cigarettes are $60.00 a carton. Doyle wanted to do his own Cap and Trade deal which would have run even more jobs out of here. Chrysler is closing their engine plant in Kenosha and even Rippin Good Cookies may move to Ill.
Scott Walker looks good to be our next governor and hopefully we can get the Assembly and Senate back. Otherwise we are totally screwed.

Wait wait wait. Wisconsin is a deep blue state why are we even thinking about some Republican running there? That's crazy talk, we need to focus our resources on the places we can win.
Right? I mean, Wisconsiners like Feingold and he polls well.

Yep.
Funny how loosening voter identification rules and leaving pathways to fraud helps one particular political party (D).
Posted by: Lemon Kitten at September 17, 2010 06:29 AM (0fzsA)
In 2000, the local paper found college kids who admitted in print that they voted twice--once on campus in Milwaukee, and once absentee using their home address. Same-day registration means no one realizes they're on the rolls twice until months after their vote has been illegally counted (...and even then, only in-state students will be noticed).
Feingold has proposed same-day registration be the law nationwide, in case you need another reason why he should be shit-canned.
(I've been looking forward to voting against him since the day I moved to WI in 2006. That his challenger is actually worth voting for is the icing on the cake.)

It has a bunch of Quinnipiac polls showing that the Republican nominees for Governor and Senator in Ohio are up about 20 points each, showing an electoral wipeout in the state for the Dems.

NPR right now warning the Republicans that they are DOOOOOMED, DOOOOMED, I tell you, and that this insanity could ultimately lead to a (the fucking radio actually shudders) Palin run for President!
Oh, the humanity! It's like watching them lovingly mix the ingredients and warming the oven to bake a big lip-smacking good Casserole de Schadenfreude!! Maybe with a chilled crow salad.

We had a Voter ID law passed by the legislature but Doyle vetoed it. I'm sure with a Rep. held legis. and Gov. Walker that will be a priority issue.
The fraud is mostly in Milwaukee Co. Both Gov. candidates are from Milw. Walker holds a good lead there and you need Milw. Co. to win here. The margin of votes may well be over the possiblity of fraud, plus walker doing well upstate.
