— DrewM Lindsay Graham was the only Republican voting yes.
As I said on Twitter....I really wish it were Graham that Alvin Greene was up against this year. I'd donate to Greene in that case.
Meanwhile, Tom Coburn lays out part of the case against Kagan(link added)....
The hearings, though, were not merely about Elena Kagan per se but about the political culture and philosophy that shaped her views. Her answers exposed profound flaws in the prevailing Big Government wisdom of the Supreme Court and Washington over the past few decades. When I asked Kagan whether the Constitution gave Congress the authority to tell people to eat their fruits and vegetables, she answered with appropriate humor. “That would be a dumb law,” she quipped. True enough. Her response was humorous because the underlying premise is absurd both as a matter of common sense and law. Of course, Kagan and everyone else knew I was asking a proxy question about the new health law’s individual mandate and the founder’s intent regarding the Commerce Clause.
What is less humorous is the fact that as a Supreme Court justice, she would signal that Congress does in fact have the right to tell people what to eat and, by implication, whether to buy health insurance. With Kagan on the Court, Congress and the executive branch may succeed at sweeping away whatever limitations remain on its power to micromanage the decisions of states and individuals.

2 How the heck do we get a leftist like Graham from SC?
And why are there no true conservatives there to run against him?

Why is the GOP allowing this turd on the Judicary Committe? They know he will do this...

Lindsey Graham is an ass. We should take him para-sailing.

And why are there no true conservatives there to run against him?
There were some shenanigans at the primaries in 2008. Also recall that a lot of the conservatives stayed at home in 2008. But he did have two primary opponents and what is funny is that he did have to do a run-off afterward because he failed to get 50% of the vote even as an incumbent. That is almost unheard of here.
The way things are going this year if he was running again it would be a landslide for anybody but him. He has been censured by three local Republican caucuses.

Where is the Mel Gibson and Elena Kagan audio?
Something tells me the judiciary hearing audio + the Gibson rants = comedy gold.

I think there's a good reason for a conservative to vote yes," Graham told his colleagues. He added that she was "smart ... and she's funny, that goes a long way in my book."
You gotta be f*cking kidding me.

Where does the GOP find all of these RINO sellouts? They have an inexhaustable supply, or so it appears.
So if the Senate flips to the GOP in November, Grahamesty becomes Judiciary Chair, right? Good reason to hope the Socialists hang onto that chamber. Meanwhile, the GOP needs to reassign Grahamnesty.

Did a conservative vote for her? Smart and funny. Is Pansy Graham going on a date with it?

Lindsay Graham was the only Republican voting yes.
After Joe Barton got his leadership positions threatened for merely speaking the turth (thank G-d someone did) about the extortion by the Indonesian Imbecile and his junta, I demand that Lady Lindsay have ALL COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS immediately pulled. No discussion. No negotiations.
And, if the GOP can't get this simple thing taken care of, all of that leadership must step down.
Enough, already. Lady Lindsay is a serious threat to this nation and so are those in the GOP ranks who do anything but shun the asswipe.

I have to disagree, Vic. Grahamnesty did this all on his own. He loves fucking the GOP and America over. This is the second insane SCOTUS nomination that has gotten out of committee because of Grahamnesty. No one needs to prod Lady Lindsay to be a traitor. It comes naturally to him.

This crapweasel comes from one of the allegedly most conservative states in the entire US in the entire history of ever.
Would he not, therefore, have to be considered, uh, low-hanging fruit for a primary challenge?
Just saying.

I assumed that, Vic. There's no doubt that one or two of the other GOP members appreciated the fact that Lindsay was doing it, so they didn't have to. I just think that Lady Lindsay was pretty hot to cast this "Yea" vote from the very beginning. I mean, we all knew this was coming from the day of the nomination and pretty much everyone knew that Grahamnesty was going to let her out of committee.

Ms Kagan: Oh, no.. he's really attended to my needs.. He was wonderful! The earth moved! In fact, it moved so muich, I don't think I can take any more!
JugEars: That's my Lindsey! Yeah. He's my bread-and-butter man. You see, in my schedule I got eight girls, and Lindsey. Come on, Lindsey, let's go, man. They got some hungry women in Beddendorf waiting for the Garden Lizard.
Ms Kagan: Lindsey? Lindsey? Lindsey, I just want to thank you for tonight. I'm never going to forget it.
Lindsey Graham: Well, thank you, ma'am. I do what I can. Because I'm Lindsey Graham, Male Prostitute.

There are no provisions in the Constitution for recall of federal legislators.
There are only four ways for a Senator to be removed from office; (1) Vote them out (rare) (2) Die in office (most common) (3) Senate votes them out (even rarer than voting them out) and (4) The retire (when it looks like they will be voted out, rare).

What is the point of rallying tens of millions of Americans to oppose this malignant threat to our country when it can all be undone by one treacherous pusilanimous fool.
Lindsey Graham, you're currying the favor of the elites at a moment where hatred for them is at the tipping point. You're on the wrong side of history, honey
