L.A.-area Moron Meetup Scheduled for July 24
— Gabriel Malor

Mark your calendars, Los Angeles-area readers. We had a fine get-together back in February and it's time to catch up again. Unless we squeeze one in come September, this will probably be the last meetup I do in Los Angeles and I want to see all your fucked-up faces before I go.

To that end, there will be a Moron Meetup the evening of Saturday, July 24 in either Hollywood or the Westside. Location TBD at this point.

As per our usual practice, you can get the details via email. Long-time reader h2u has offered to handle that part of the organizing again. You can reach him at "HebrewToYou" at google-mail. (Email addy not spelled out in a probably-vain attempt to cut down on spam. Put the name in quotes with "@gmail.com".)

Hope to see you there.

1 Gabe, as much as I love you and the other morons, you could not pay me to go to LA.

Lemme know when there is a meet up scheduled someplace less decadent and screwed up, like Las Vegas or Amsterdam.

Until, ya'll have fun.

5 Any morons gonna be at Cape Cod next weekend? If so, I call a meet up at the Woodshed in Brewster. Or Philbricks at Nauset in Orleans. Or The Beachcomber in Wellfleet. Yes, definitely the Beachcomber. Afterwards, we can go surf casting at the National Seashore and smoke a doobie in honor of Andi Sullivan getting arrested there. (Seriously, I'm doing that anyway.)

Gabe, you're fleeing LA?  I've been working and not keeping up with the blog except the ONT, so this is news to me.  Where are you off to?  Hoping it's a good thing!

11 Traffic and my parallel parking phobia will probably keep from this meet-up, too; the OC morons ought to meet up at the Fair.

12 Hey, I might actually make this one, except for that whole "Cur needs to drive down into the LA Basin to meet the morons" thing. I've sworn to never enter the LA Basin unless I'm being paid to do so.....but I might make an exception, given the right incentive. Boobie photos are a good start.

New Orleans by a mile.  Tampa second.  Ybor is ok.  Orlando..third.

I figure with Wee Wee bumbling the oil cleanup so badly, there are bound to be some awesome specials in Clearwater this summer, was my thinking.

No, born and raised in Philly.  Still live here.  Parents are militant Eagles fans and I was a Cowboys fan as a kid.  In '78, the Cowboys were playing the Broncos in the Super Bowl - Go Craig Morton! - and my mother ordered me to cheer for the Broncos instead of the team she hated.

I cheered on the Broncos to a loss, and have been a fan ever since.  Of course, I let my kids cheer for whomever they want now - and my oldest is a Cowboy fan.  Ugh.
