Letting The Days Go By
— LauraW

Welcome to FiAF. Awesome tipster Krukke1 left this delicious puddin' cup in my mailbox this morning. This tune is nostalgic to those of us of a certain age...but the lyrics have been updated hilariously.

Heh.

My band in the 80's did lots of Talking Heads covers. Yes, we did this one. I can do the David Byrne "barking chicken" voice dead-on.

Should I be proud of that?

a plan to get inside the admin's head.....

go to a local driving range and buy a bucket of spent golf balls

go to the nearest post office and get the large flat-rate box

put "back to work" on a piece of paper

add golf balls and paper to box and send to "Chairman Soetoro c/o Barack O'bama Whitehouse" at 1600 Penn

wait for the newsies to grab onto the story

total cost 20-30 bucks

We know that Worf looks looks too damn good in the video, but no sense in piling on. She has a much higher approval rating than her idiot husband right now.

Sent it to my moonbat brother. It's amazing how he lost his sense of humor since November of 2008.

30 I'd like to swing a huge FiAF clue bat toward Turbo-Timmy. MY favorite quote from his piece was this one: Every business in America today is in a much better position than they were, not just 18 months ago, but than I think many of them expected to be at this point,” Geithner said at a breakfast with reporters hosted by the Christian Science Monitor.

Posted by: carin at July 23, 2010 06:38 AM (4Tr+k)

31 I like the golf ball idea but it needs to be taken to the people. It could become a meme with a little work. Just get a bunch from the flea market and start positioning them around. How about a shot of a golfball on the whitehouse lawn? Hey, are there any fellow morons in DC? How about the GPS snipe hunts. This is the perfect portable ridicule machine, the lowly golfball. Send your photos in now! How about one sitting on the desk at Fox News during one of the shows, like a trophy or something. Obama "O" theme balls. I'm getting al Alvin on this.

38 Great vid!  I wish it had come out a bit sooner -- now that the oil well is "fixed" the MFM will go back to licking O's ass.  As someone said, the oil thing is just a small part of the problem with this moron.

I am feeling nostalgic for the Talking Heads now.  I went to the Burning Down the House concert/tour, which also happened to be held the day after I started dating Mr. Y-not, so there's a bucket full of nostalgia there.

39 Geithner said at a breakfast with reporters hosted by the Christian Science Monitor.
I caught the last 5 minutes of the Charlie Rose Show yesterday with some idiot spouting crap like that and about all the tax cuts Obama had made for those earning under $250,000 only to find at the end that it was Geithner.

BTW, I've had that song running in my head for the past few days even though no one's mentioned it here and I've not seen it mentioned or heard it anywhere else recently either.

Posted by: andycanuck at July 23, 2010 07:31 AM (7b1Uc)

40 Oh. Geithner was also blowing China, believing that China trade would save the U.S. without mentioning the amount of U.S. debt China holds and their increasing chagrin at Obama policy screwing them. And, oddly enough, Charlie didn't ask about that, either.

Posted by: andycanuck at July 23, 2010 07:33 AM (7b1Uc)

41 Andy - you know the entire reason why businesses are not hiring right now is just to make Obama look bad. I've got news for Timmy. Commercial Retail bubble burst. Get ready for it.

Assuming DB is a leftie. You never know, he could be a republican. He is a good business man for sueing Charlie Crist for using his tunes w/o permission.

LIFE DURING PROGTIME

Heard about the Gulf Coast? Heard about GM?

Heard about the Clingers, PA?

You ought to know not to post on this website

Someone might see it some day

I got some food stamps, some bailout money

To last a couple of days

But I ain't got no Senate; Ain't got no Congress

Nobody hears what I say

This ain't no Party; this ain't due process

This ain't no fooling around

No time for vetting or filibusters

They ain't got time for that one

57 Given that David Byrne sent out an annoying pompous e-mail begging Americans to vote for Obama (because being Scottish he wasn't allowed to vote in the US because we are so goddamned backwards and stuffy n' shit) I find this piss take pretty funny. No doubt he was one of those assholes who thought they were preventing a third Bush term.
